In Japanese they are not, in English yeah like at the end of the show they featured the human characters from Armada and Energon having a cameo.

Who's GT?

Becky's a full-time employee, right? FP is 200% to blame in this, producing a highly desired figure in low quantities and removing all limits Saturday morning. They give no fucks. What scum. "Blah blah blah, businesses have no obligations to cater to non-attendees of their convention!" I was an attendee for many years, bought lots of their exclusives. It's still a shitty situation for me for them to have such a hard line. "That's just the marketplace, bra!" Yup, and it sucks huge donkey dicks. Don't try and tell me it's fair. You just want to make justifications for getting away with exploitation.

God, this 2016 Megatron has me so pissed off. I can't fucking get over it. It has me more angry than the existence of Star Trek Voyager, and that's pretty severe.

I love him because the toy has a lot of character on its own merit. But I don't think he's worth premium prices because it's still RID-warrior levels of budget and engineering.

From your stateside friends, it sounds like the mass release hasn't reached there yet. IMO, be patient and wait for that.

I ended up seeing Chop Shop on a peg at Walmart (along with most of the final legends wave of CW) so I bought him and Shockwave.
I'm surprised how much the colors make me care about the Skrapnel mold because originally I didn't give a fuck about it since so many of the 'cons I have are already purple, silver and black. Having a big burgundy and orange bug up front really helps break it up.
>>
>>5614199
I really wish they'd given him some new mandibles, at least. He looks nice and all, but I look at that silhouette and all I see is red shrapnel.
>>
>>5614208
I'm planning on painting the inside of them a shiny silver at some point as a bit of a side thing (to a thing I had planned for titans return) to make him feel a bit more lively. For now though the orange on the legs and the chest deco does enough for me alongside the new head to say he's his own man.

Gonna second this considering they pulled this shit on Saturday and not Sunday. They must have wanted to get rid of it fast or just very stupid.

And I've been screwed over SDCC Figuarts Goku previously because Bluefin originally didn't set a limit for pre-show people and didn't have enough to go around on later days.

The panels that slide to either side of Chop Shop/Skrapnel's legs along with the bug legs on the arms make me think the mold was intended to double as both to start with since his toy had these flaps that just sort of hung out on either side.

Just read about a lot of people that really want to get their hands on it. It's going for around twenty bucks on eBay right now and that's just silly.

>>5614331

And he does not fit on Sky Reign. Nor is that feature mentioned anywhere on either his packaging or instructions.
>>
>>5614331
>how the fuck does he fit on sky reign"
You mean people really are in denial that it was just thrown in the wave so they could reuse groove and say there's a legends for that combiner too?
>>
>>5614325
I mean I don't get the hype for Legends. They're tinier, less articulated and often lack head articulation. They're like poor man's scout class.
>>
>>5614342
From my experience, they usually DO have head articulation, even when I didn't expect it to be possible. Bombshell and legends 2-pack Bumblebee are the only ones I own that don't, and Bumblebee is pretty bad anyway so I couldn't give less of a fuck.

Not only that, when done well their articulation tends to do a lot more visually than most figures a class or two above them. Blackjack can do all kinds of shit with and without his axe.

Titans Return seems to be continuing that tradition. I can see Wheelie easily being one of the most posable legends figures so far.
>>
>>5614342
They are scout class. The class name just changed.
>>
>>5614395
If they are, then the scout class budget was severely trimmed.

>>
>>5614441
So is yours.
Legends and Scout classes coexisted at one point, Legends are not Scouts, they're their own class.
>>
>>5614441
No, but the idea that Legends are renamed scouts seems to be. Legends are renamed Cyberverse commanders, which were different from scouts.
>>
I thought Legions were the new Legends and Legends were the new Scouts?
>>
I found the Legends Shockmaster today and I'm super surprised with how immediately expressive he is. Thanks to that head range and foot tilt he can get into some really nice stances.
>>
>>5614449
Yes, but now Legends are Legion, and Scouts are Legends.

Size classes have been bouncing around names for ages now. Deluxes used to be called Basics, and Supreme has been roped in with the new Titan class Metroplex pioneered.

So Legends were not always Scouts, but they are now.
>>
>>5614464
>Deluxes used to be called Basics,

kek did you start collecting post movie or something? Deluxes have been renamed a few things(Super-cons, warrior class), but Basic was the pre-Scout class size.
>>
>>5614471
Sort of. I used to have a few Beast era figures but after Beast Machines I jumped ship. Supreme Cheetor hurt me bad.

I hopped back in around the time of Energon, and by the time I picked up on the nuances of how the pricing worked, Cybertron mostly solidified the Deluxe and Voyager class' names.
>>
>>5614485
Well then you know shit, kid.
>>

The thing about RID decepticons is that a lot of their robot modes ARE animals, and they turn into cars and stuff despite that.
That being said, Crazybolt's robot mode is definitely articulated with hinges that facilitate transformation but are in all the right spots and angles anyway, but he doesn't have quite the full range of motion you'd want from a quadruped monster.

His tight transformation forced them to give him quite some articulation...or maybe his articulation allows them to give him a tight transformation, idk.

Anyways, there's at least 3 joints in each limb including the tail. Not exactly the full range but good enough for quite a lot of poses for a beastformer.

>>5614925
Stunticon Brake-Neck and Aerialbot Quickslinger were both released outside of their combiner teams (their usual spots were taken by new characters Offroad and Alpha Bravo). In North America, they were only available for a short time in online retailers.

Because of their limited run, and the fact that they are characters from G1 that were replaced in the mainline, their aftermarket value got real high.

Most people ended up buying the UW version thanks to elbowgate and the usual paint apps, so I assume there was more US stock left over compared to Metroplex.

Seems like hasbro powermaster prime is up for pre-order in some places, been looking around, despite the drag grey he is infact toy accurate.

But what would takara do, I know the hands will go from red to blue, what else could they do?
>>
>>5615662
Maybe Japan actually likes the Technobots? Maybe they also want those sweet American dollars?
>>
>>5615662
Running theory is where a whole limb from scratch had to be made so costs were higher so exclusives saved on the cost.
Even though Computron is heavily retooled all his limbs are existing molds

My theory is they had no idea UW was going to take off like it did so they were making the less popular ones exclusives
>>
>>5615574
There's already an official GI Joe Convention, and it usually goes pretty well. I don't see the need to cancel that in favor of an all Hasbro, all the time convention. Throwing the Bronies in is a terrible idea, but i'm going to avoid laying blame for starting shit, just rather avoid shit in the 1st place.

By toy accurate I meant deco wise and more or less inspired, look at TR Scourge, chest sticker and yellow knee spots, the fact he's a head master isn't toy acurate, neither is takara's legends version "anime accurate" because he ain't no damn head master.

I thought it was universally agreed "accurate" meant deco wise, not toy functionality wise, otherwise titan devastator would be wrong since hook can't use his damn crane

>It's like a black hole of autism.
In my eyes,
Indisposed,
In disguise
As no one knows.
No one sings like you anymore.

What's pathetic is that this is probably what Brian Savage would have wanted to do to save money, but wasn't allowed, and now that he's lost it, it's going to happen.
I imagine the crossover of fans is going to be so insignificant that it won't really be of any benefit to us fans, and if anything it will make it worse for us.

I just hope we're all reading way too much into the name.
No. No. I'm right. This is the beginning of the end. The quality of the engineering and the corners cut on the toys were a huge blinking warning sign of the trend to follow. It's all down-hill from here, boys. We're going to get shit even worse. We're going to get really bad exclusives at the same horrible prices or worse like the Chinese exclusives, on shitty molds, at a shared convention that will be worse and worse as it drives more fans away from a dwindling market. The large target fiction of movies and TV shows will remain peurile with any semblance of intelligence remaining in the tiny comic market, until they eventually accidentally crowd that out with too many executive demands for marketing purposes. Hasbro will swallow up Mattel eventually, even though they can resist their latest bid. When Hasbro is the only major player, they'll start swinging their dick around. When the market shows clear signs of death those at the top will show their true colors and cannibalize their own company, guaranteeing it fails sooner just to wring another dollar out of the corpse.
I envision an elite BotCon convention in China for their high class customers. There will be no middlemen for those exclusives because the exclusives will be meant only for the rich people. I imagine there will be super rare exclusives among them like the Jojo Swarovski diamond exclusives. Unicron made out of gold? Primus made out of diamond?

yup, there's also Vertebreak, who looks nowhere as cool as his name suggests
>>

I lot of it is probably out of their control. Hasbro doesn't allow any other licensed company to mass produce transforming Transformer toys. Takara only licenses transforming Transformers as limited convention runs.

>Personally
Okay that's great, but you're not a kid. You are an adult that can look at this in a much different light.

I'm sure part of the license was a line that said "you can't make any regular transforming robot toys, cause that's stepping on our game". RID Prime/Fire Convoy is probably the second most fun OP toy ever, after Cybertron. Really great in vehicle mode, normal mode w/ base, and super mode. Just looks great, fun to transform, well articulated, and solid. And there are so many options. And weapons.

Omega Prime looks amazing, but it kind of a bitch to put together.
