Thinking about selling my Monsterarts collection for this guy.
Anyone else have one?
What are your thoughts?
It set a new standard for me in collecting. Probably the best figure I've ever owned, and I spend 14k-16k a year on toys. If you get him, make sure to get Stryder to go along with him.
>>5565917
Is the pilot cool, as well? How's his articulation?
>>5566215
different anon here.
articulation is as you would expect for a robot the size of a baby.
and of course, since he is a giant walking tank, you dont really need to pose him and he looks good.
I usually just have him out and in the pose you have in the OP.
ive had the thing since it first game out but ive never gone as far as put the pilot inside the thing since it involve taking off the pilots belt and jump pack and the instructions say "get another person to help"
is there going to be an ogre coming out any time soon?
>>5566382
They released a new teaser today.
>>5566413
Shit, I may just have to wait for that one.
>>5566413
aaaw shit, it even has the assault pilot. sign me up for that shit.
>>5566413
>militia
>3rd titan to come out and still no fem pilots
I love how peon utterly failed to bait any serious reply.
We all know he doesn't own monsterarts to begin with.
I caved and got the PAK.
Not bad.
I am waiting for economical McFarlane ones. They should be 10 inches so the same size as PAK but unsure whether pilot would fit inside.
>>5566413
Guys
GUYS
TOTALLY NOT A SCOPEDOG
>>5567378
>I caved and got the PAK.
>Not bad.
You fucked up.
>>5566995
Lay off the Martin Freeman and maybe someone will bite next time.
>>5567443
Wasted idea of a video game more like
>>5566413
>Militia
god DAMNIT
>>5567360
Woah, I'm peon now? Awesome. I take credit for everything. Thanks go out to Jesus and James Harden for always having my back.
>>5567466
Yeah, the IMC color scheme is much cooler.
Why the fuck has no one made Spectre action figures yet?
I swear to god these people have no concept of marketing or toys
>>5567472
McFarlane is bound to make some. And if they don't, just buy a Chappie.
>>5565917
So Threezero Titanfall Atlas has no competition?
It is 51cm, LED, well articulated and weathered.
There doesn't seem to be anything close to it and even other Threezero/3A offerings such as Full Metal Ghost and Optimus Prime are shorter than it.
There aren't any good 60cm tall high end toys out there as Metroplex and Fort Max are kids toys grade.
>>5567746
I skipped Atlas because it doesn't have the missile ordnance, and the Stryder could not could the railgun properly.
Should I get the Ogre just for the sake of getting a state of the art mecha toy? I am still planning to army build McFarlane ones when they're out.
I already own Full Metal Ghost and 3A Metal Gear Ray and have both Getters coming in.
>>5567449
them deciding to make the ogre on the opposite team just prevented them from having my 900 dollies and i know im not the only one not getting him because of that fuckup
>>5567746
I dont have any pictures of it but both the Atlas and hot toys Igor both go together like something from a Buddy Cop film
>selling multiple toys to afford just one
if you're really that much of a poorfag, just buy McFarlane's.
>>5567830
Maybe I'll wait to see how the McFarlanes look before I decide. My biggest pet peeve is overflowing shelves, so I wanted to get rid of some figures to create some shelf space, and the Atlas would need a lot of shelf space.
>>5567872
you only have one bookcase?
Also, that' a cool display. The wings spreading out the shelf is a neat touch
>>5567468
yeah dude, you aint fooling anyone.
>>5567876
I got a second bookcase since I took that picture, but the other one is mostly all Halo figures and books. The main reason to sell the Monsterarts is to just kind of thin the herd a little. I want a more focused collection as opposed to a large assortment of figures.
>>5567378
I had one too but sold it off. My 2 cents:
1. Do be careful with the opening and closing of the hatches as the plastic is very weak and brittle. Mine broke and I heard from others that it is a common issue.
2. Be careful when rotating the central 'eye' as the paint can chip quite easily.
3. Use the PAK stand (after tightening it up). The toy doesn't balance very well and the ratchet joints just barely hold it in position. As such it is prone to falls.
Enjoy. :-)
God damn I need to pull the trigger on Ghidorah.
>>5568242
You can buy the one in the picture if you want to lol
>>5568568
You trying to clean out? Got a price on the Deathstroke and the REX? Might be able to do something with them on the 1st of the month.
>>5568568
How much?
Wow, good job, /toy/. I expected much more of a shitstorm out of this thread.
>>5567830
>sticker decal
NO
WHAT THE FUCK
NOOOO!!!!
>>5569474
Too lazy to put them on themselves, I guess.
>>5569699
>>5569474
What's wrong with being able to customize figures and vehicles with decals?
It's a pretty cool feature.
>>5569711
For a children's line, sure. Not for a line designed for adult collectors.
Does anyone have the ThreeZero Legion? I was thinking about picking it up, but there's no real good videos on youtube about it's articulation, and that's mostly what I'm curious about
>>5570531
>look it up on ebay
>threezerostore version came with an M98
>there's only one on ebay
>$70+ over retail
I wish I knew about this thing when it came out. Jesus. I can't decide if having the M98 is worth that or not.
>>5570639
>S-S-Shepard Commander-senpai...
>>5570488
>>5570488
I'm sure the figures will be complexy painted and weathered like everything else McFarlane makes, but the decals is a good idea, so you can buy multiples and have them all being different units instead of samefag.
>>5570639
On sale http://www.hlj.com/product/THZ92020/Act
>>5570989
That one doesn't seem to come with the M98 either, though. But damn that's pretty cheap. Thanks anon.
>>5570982
I was pretty let down by their Spartan Locke statue. Locke has no brown on him when wearing the helmet and yet most of the paint on the statue was brown, anyway. It just seems so cheap.
>>5571346
.... so you don't like it because McFarlane put a paint app you didn't like or accurate to the game?
Meh. Like i could care about that video game, even though i did buy some of the figures.
If they made the titan all hot rod red with a charger on it or just olive drab, I'd be okay with it, as long as the paint apps are to their normal standards.
Shit, i'd probably buy it even if was Hasbro paint standard, as long as it's well articulated. Mecha is just awesome.
... and i would pay extra for just drab olive green.
>>5571364
The inaccuracy turned me off more than anything, just because in a huge Halo nerd. The Triforce statue kind of spoiled me, as well.
That being said, there's not much they could get wrong with giant robots and pilots. Half of everything is green and orange, the other half is white and blue.
>>5571364
Agreed. I've never played the game, but I'll get the mech just because it's a mech.
>>5571500
I actually bought the Knex ones because it's almost to scale with 1:18 figures. It's about an inch off, but GI Joes can fit inside the cockpit pretty easily if oyu leave the chair out.
Built it, test fitted everything, then i put it somewhere, and now i don't konw where it is. I'm totally going to paint it up, as soon as i put off my laziness.
Not going to do this sort of customizing though with other sets, since i think it's already good enough, if a bit wobbly (nothing a little epoxy won't fix).
>>5567872
Depending on your prices I'd buy Space Goji, Burning, Millennium, and Destroyah.
>>5567949
I'd suggest selling the Halo stuff instead in my opinion(most non-Megabloks Halo merch just seems kinda crappy, especially when compared to something like Monsterarts)
>>5573157
Yeah, but as much as I love Godzilla, I'm not 100% into the Monsterarts. The only ones I really care for are the Spacegodzilla and burning Godzilla. G2K and Ghidorah I bought on an impulse because I thought I'd never get to own them, and Destroyah I bought for someone else and they ended up not wanting it.
Plus, Halo was my first true video game love. Everything I have out I'd never be able to part with. As much hate as Halo gets, there isn't a single franchise out there more important to me.
>>5571667
The Knex ones just look so cheesy to me. I couldn't bring myself to buy one.
I have the atlas and stryder
Both really nice pieces
Get the exclusive versions if you can
How do theses things exist after what a flop the game was
>>5571667
wtf even is this, whoever made this just threw the k'nex ogre together with a bunch of bionicle parts
>>5575738
the game actually sold pretty well and the designs are fairly decent
>>5575738
Failing to live up to hype doesn't always make a game flop.
>>5567872
Put down your email I would buy some of your godzilla stuff
>>5575738
Even if the game was a flop, the designs are cool, so figures sell for that reason alone.
>>5576463
Which one? The Atlas is only $430 on Amazon.
Unless you're talking about the exclusive versions.
>>5576463
If you are talking about the Atlas exclusive version, just get the M-COR Ogre that gonna release on March 29 on Threezero.com. It included the same exclusive cannon as Atlas.
>>5575682
Awesome display man. Simple but the poses really make it.
So jelly right now.
>>5576900
thank you very much :D
>>5576490
>>5576498
already have the atlas.
but the styder costs about $150 more than the atlas
>>5578634
There is no fucking way I would ever pay that much for a little extra plastic. One gun does not justify that much of a price difference.
>>5578750
Didn't reviews say it could barely hold the railgun?
>>5579538
That's what I've heard, but only through word of mouth. Most pictures I see of it usually just have the railgun sitting in the background, if they have it at all. But there's no fucking way that gun is worth an extra $500 haha
>>5579538
>>5579545
Mine holds the railgun just fine. But apparently keeping it held up might stress the joints out over time?
I just keep mine like this so it can fit in the damn case.
>>5579594
Holy shit.
Its huge.
>>5578750
thats just the retail version without the extra gun
>>5579705
Isn't the exclusive gun for Stryder same as the gun of Atlas retail version?
>>5579705
That's my point. You can get the one without the extra gun for $500 less than the other price shown. Why would you pay $500 for an accessory?
>>5579786
OH. My bad. What the fuck, then?
Does every version come with a pilot? Or do you have to get them seperatly?
>>5579826
every one comes with a pilot,
>>5575738
game actually did rather well, hopefully we'll get news about Titanfall 2 soon
Anybody drop the cash on the Ogre yet? I think I'm just gonna stick with the Atlas.
