OLD THREAD >>5542608
By the end of this week when Batman V Superman comes out marvel will officially be finished!!
Enjoy your last marvel general.
>>5565191
I actually laughed out loud
>Look up reviews of Giant-Man's articulation
>Even worse than it looked like
Damn, that sucks but at least he probably won't be hard to build for cheap in a few months.
>Gf and I start watching a DareDevil season 2
>I fish my Marvel Universe Punisher out my of drawer
>His arm falls off, snapped at the bicep swivel
I didn't even touch his arm, what the fuck? Atleast we have some good looking punisher figures on the way, that's why I'm not too 'broken' up about it, but still.
So get the Legends or wait for the Figuarts?
>>5565340
Figuarts for sure, if you don't mind paying extra.
>>5565340
I'm skipping the legends for the figuarts, but mostly because I already have a legends panther and ending up with three is going a little overboard. All the reviews of the new legends one have been pretty goddamned glowing so far, so it's not like it's a bad option.
I kind of want that alt head, though. Aside from the skintone it's actually a pretty good likeness.
>>5565340
That depends.
If you're sure you'll be satisfied with the Legends, then go ahead. But if you think you want better, you'll want to wait for the Figuarts.
I think I'll be happy enough with the Legends Panther but I'm tempted by the Figuarts Ant-Man because the Legends Ant-Man was just awful.
>>5565373
Figuarts Ant-man looks GOAT.
>>5565390
Looks cool, but I hate how they gave him shoulder pads
>>5565390
The pre orders for this and Cap reopened at HLJ.
Better get it while its hot.
>>>>>5564005
I've seen a lot of parents buying MLs for their kids and kids still ask for Wolverine by name, inspite of him not really appearing in anything kid friendly anyore.
During Christmas i actually helped more than a couple of young parents selecting MLs for their kids (was just shopping and making small talk while looking for stuff for myself). Even had to tell two parents that they wouldn't find any Wolverines with the current waves and told them to try their luck at a comic shop.
So i wonder, where the hell are kids learning about wolverine? Their parents pushing their old cartoons to them or are the live action movies really that popular with kids?
>>5565340
As long as they don't put any human faces on their Black Panther, the Figuarts is a good choice.
>>5565430
Hmmm.... do they show the cartoons on Hulu or Netflix?
>>5565430
That's so weird in my brief stint working at a toy shop I had two different sets of parents come in also saying their son wanted a Wolverine toy of some kind. Although this being a uk shop besides the Mashers Wolverine there really was jack shit for the character available.
>>5565430
Any time I go to a movie during busy hours lately there are at least a handful of parents with younger kids, regardless of the movie's rating/content.
There was a lady with a group of kids that couldn't have been any older than 10-12 in the theater when I went to see Deadpool.
Parents these days don't give a shit about what goes into their kids' heads.
>>5565442
yeah they do, I trid to stream for free enough to know that.
>>5565340
kek
>>5565809
You know they aren't in stores yet?
>>5565958
when do they hit stores?
>>5565809
Boy some people can't wait to get their hands on Marvel's Captain America: Civil War Black Panther Marvel Legends Infinite Series Figure
Be sure to have yours preordered or buy only through licensed Disney approved distributors. :)
>>5565958
yeah and? in a few weeks it will be
>>5566210
And then it won't be $265
>>5566171
I see them on Asian shelves
>>5566278
you must be squinting.
>>5566322
How can you tell...?
You can't.
Finally acquired Ghost Rider. Does anyone know of a good chain or mouth flame effect for him?
I remember some anons a while back saying stuff about a hobby store chain with wiring or something but i'm not sure of the exact specifications.
It won't let me save the picture on mobile for some reason but here, have my pathetic attempt at trying to provide a picture of the new Walgreens Namor.
http://news.toyark.com/2016/03/22/marvel-legends-namor-iron-man-2-pack-images-199786
Also apparently a 'new' War Machine and a New York Knicks Iron Man that nobody asked for
>>5566437
heh, Aquaman.
>>5566340
You know, I've never been the biggest fan of GR as a character but damn if the character design isn't fucking glorious. That figure looks really cool.
>>5566437
Dang, Civil War Machine doesn't have a place to plug his melee weapon into his back. That's too bad.
We're getting Ben Reilly Spidey. Is there any hope for Kaine?
>>5566532
They made Kaine a long time ago.
>>5566544
They did?! Is he any good?
>>5566517
It surprises me they haven't pumped out the Ghost Rider figures like they have for the symbiotes. They can do classic Danny Ketch version, Zarathos, Badilino Vengeance, Kowalski Vengeance and I'm sure a few others I'm forgetting.
>>5566340
Does he come with a human head too?
>>5566545
I really wish he had extra hands, but I really enjoy him.
I got him about a year ago or something, where he was available online from Target of all places. Got really lucky.
Also, speaking of Target, I went to go see if Kaine was still there, and they have the 12 inch legends Iron man up for pre order. Huh.
>>5566558
Nah. I could do without the head, I just wish he came with an actual chain accessory.
>>5566437
So War Machine is using hands that are very similar to the ones included with the old Mk 1 release. I'd be surprised if they old ones were unusable on Mk 3.
Namor's body appears to be cobbled together from different bucks. The torso seems to be the Bucky buck, but the arms are from what? And are his gripping hands entirely new, or scaled-down Odin hands? The flat palms are obviously from Iron Fist.
>>5566437
Namor should be more smug. also, what's with Alley Viper War Machine
>>5566569
Not the Kaine I meant. THIS is the Kaine I want.
When?
>>5566746
Who is that on the bottom left?
>>5566756
Typhoid Mary
>>5566746
After we get the Doppelgänger BAF wave that gets posted in every thread.
>>5566651
Namor is all grim reaper buck with minor additions on the wrists collar belt and ankles. Pretty sure the gripping hands are from the Cap on the same buck, and also has Iron Fist alt hands.
that head sculpt is great!
Got some mail today.
>>5566743
2edgy4me
Looks like a spawn villain
>>5566867
What War Machine is that?
>>5566881
Looks like sentinel stuff.
>>5566881
>What War Machine is that?
RE:edit line by sentinel.
He's a big guy.
>Still no Mr. Knight
WHAT are you DOING Hasbro????
>>5566871
Well he is from the 90s.
>>5566746
Why would we get that? Hasbro knows people actually want that. More iron men for you
>>5566746
the walgreens frank is pretty close to that frank, so that sorta taken care of I guess.
Should be solid punisher
>still no Ms. Marvel
>only now getting Gwen, and it's not even good
>Marvel Selects have absolute shit lineup or are exclusives
>POPs are all bobbleheads and seem tied pretty closely to the shitty live action stuff
>Minimates are meh
Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink.
I had heard that the chest joint was loose, but mine doesnt seem to have that issue.
>>5566340
You can kinda wedge the flame effect from the older MU Mk 1 Iron Man into his mouth. Looks decent enough.
>>5566899
So was most of Vertigo, Sin city and LOEG.
"because 90s" is not an acceptable response for a shitty design.
>>5567010
It is for most mainstream cape comics.
And those you listed were definitely NOT mainstream cape comics.
Anybody got a new updated list of Marvel Legends coming out?
Did Netflix Daredevil get confirmed?
>>5567034
>Did Netflix Daredevil get confirmed?
LMFAO
>>5567010
>implying Kaine doesn't look badass
maybe it's my nostalgia talking but I actually really like his design.
PO when?
>>5566746
>Kingpin the BAF instead of Stiltman
Digging the new stands I picked up today...
>>5567137
>Stiltman BAF
>not Stiltman being a regular figure in the wave
>not every other figure in the wave coming with Stilt extensions
Step up fampai.
>>5567392
>Can you pose that next to some Marvel Selects?
The only selects I have are the oversized ones.
>>5567437
Forgot about hulkbuster hiding in my closet.
>>5567437
>Liefeld War Machine
I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
Actually, it looks more similar to the Mangaverse shit, but i can't find that IM page. Fucking movies ruined google's ability to find IM pages!
Are they all this good? The extremis armor is on sale right now at HLJ.......
The stand is a nice addition, but honestly, feels kinda cheap.
>>5567034
http://marvelousnews.com/news.php?catid=252&itemid=19575
Apparently we're supposed to be getting Netflix figures in some form eventually, but we don't know if it'll be this year or next year, or what lines they'll be in.
>>5567437
>>5567445
You are a good man, anon. I appreciate these photos more than you'll ever know. I've been on the fence with that War Machine for a looooong while but figured that it was too short for a 1/10 collection, which is what I prefer for Marvel. But standing next to that Hulkbuster, I can now tell how ideal it would be even if placed next to human Select figures.
>>5567395
What kind of stands are these? Where'd you pick them up?
>>5566759
You rang?
>>5567693
Those are just bandai stage act stands.
>>5567700
ayy
>>5567829
If I had to choose in order of figures from that I wanted the most:
1. Mania
2. Doppleganger (with swappable head)
3. Scorn (with swappable hand/arm if possible)
4. Pat Toxin (with swappable head)
5. Symbiote Spider-man
6. Scream
7. Hybrid
>>5567089
mybodyisready.jpg
>>5567850
>still using the same sculpt
meh.
>>5567837
I would love to see black-suit Spidey on the new pizza body
>>5567700
even better
>>5567850
Well, she has to be an improvement on the BW I have now.
>>5567089
Huh. I thought Panther was gonna be the next one up.
Oh well.
>>5567873
Not gonna lie, I don't even know what that pterodactyl dude is, but I'd buy it in a heartbeat without a second thought.
>>5567964
That's Sauron
Im intrested in http://nerditems.com/en/marvel/38-batman-vs-superman-dawn-of-justice.html anyone has more pics of this beauty? :D
Does anyone own Figma Captain America? I really want a Cap and I like the styling of this one but does he look okay with ML and other chunkier looking figures or does he look too much like a manlet in comparison?
Guys, please, can someone post a updated checklist for ML here?
As much as I love Iron Man, I still don't have one in my collection and I really want to change that. With that said, there are a lot of Iron Man figures out there and I'm having a hard time picking between them. I am not a fan of the mk 42 or 43 designs so I am really looking at either the mk 6 or mk 45. After watching a bunch of reviews, I've eliminated the SHF Mk 45 so the main contenders are:
- SHF Mk 6 - made quite a while ago so does it hold up compared to newer figures?
- Figma Iron Man (Mk 5?) - Is it too stylised and how is it size wise in comparsion to the SHF versions and to MLs? Is it worth getting the more expensive version with the Tony Stark face?
- Mafex Mk 45 - Is it going to be worth the price tag? It looks good in pictures but doesn't quite "pop" like others.
- SHF Mk 46 - Is there actually much information on it yet?
Obviously the last two aren't out yet (and I can't even find a preorder date for the SHF) and the SHF Mk 6 is old and hard to find (and no doubt expensive in the aftermarket).
I really can't decide which way to go so I was wondering if /toy/ could add anything that might sway me one way or another?
>>5568062
Go Mk 6. He has that bulk and that old school iron man feel
Though I know that the Figma scales say better with Marvel Legends. Personally I don't mind my Iron Man being a manlet because Tony Stark actually is pretty short
I digress, go either SHF Mk 6 or Figma
Is there any realistic chance of an updated Iron Spider figure with the new Spidey mold?
>>5568104
we are already going to get a ultimate spider man... i think it's pretty damn hard to get another spidy
>>5568062
With the Figma, it has great (if fragile) paintwork but has really obvious joints (that aren't painted) and has really awkward looking wrist flaps.
>>5566437
FUCK THE KNICKS
>>5568219
Someone. Actually got my reference..
This thing is ridiculously photogenic.
>>5568256
Are those your pictures earlier in the thread too? I really love the look of this War Machine, but curious how it feels in hand and if the quality feels proportional to the price
>>5568305
>Are those your pictures earlier in the thread too?
Yes.
>curious how it feels in hand and if the quality feels proportional to the price
Man, thats a really tough question. Cost vs quality is super subjective. For me, the answer is yes. I have one or two small nit pics, but other wise, this is as close to perfect as you can hope to get.
>>5568317
I was going to bite but the proportions really bother me. Its like a Warcraft designed version of War Machine.
The tiny waist and giant shoulders just bug the hell out of me.
>>5568325
Its a very comic inspired design. Im sure people will either love it or hate it.
dorksidetoys opened oreorders for the Civil War wave
All can be bought loose except for Fury.
>>5568104
>>5568113
>i think it's pretty damn hard to get another spidy
Uhh, we're getting at least one Spider-Man per Spidey wave, and the Spidey waves don't look like they'll be stopping any time soon. A new Symbiote Suit on this body is inevitable, and I could see them using it to redo some other Spider-Men, too. Iron Spider wouldn't surprise me, especially since it was introduced during the comic Civil War.
>>5568256
Figuarts looks better senpai
>>5568521
Which one? I didn't care for the AoU version. The IM2 version was nice. I had that one and sold it to help fund this one. I guess I prefer the comic designs. To each his own.
>>5568422
Fury sold out quick even with a limit of two.
They also sold out of his boxed version as well.
>>5568001
I don't own this one but I remember the reviews: He is absolutely a manlet and doesn't fit in stylistically with ML. Get the Figuarts or preorder the Mezco or something at least, if you want a nice Cap.
Hey, has anyone opened the screen up on their Arnim Zola?
This review says "if you work at it, this is how it fits together you can pry up his harness and remove the clear plastic "screen," giving you unencumbered access to the sticker beneath.
I tried very gently but I'm a terrible hamhander and really don't want to break it. Any experience or advice? Thanks guys.
>>5565191
How about we enjoy buying BvS figures at Green Lantern clearance prices in a few weeks instead?
>>5568607
i hate 6 pack waves
>>5567964
He was pretty popular in the cartoon. People have ben clamouring for him to be a BAF in an x-men wave, I agree with the single figure treatment, for exactly what you said. People would buy him up if he was on his own. He sure as hell wouldn't shelf warm like hawkeye or spider-woman
>>5567873
Good wave but in reality Colossus, Sauron, and probably Prof. X could and should be BAF.
>>5568974
sauron is the best! i remember growing up the old xmen toy
Do superheroes have just one version of their costume, or multiples?
Like could Psylocke show up one day in her X-Force one because her current one is in the wash or something?
>>5569240
With the way they're constantly getting ripped & teared, I'm sure they have multiple versions of costumes & armors. That or Mr Fantastic and/or SHIELD provides everyone with a costume made from unstable molecules that has to take time to reconfigure.
No longer used gear definitely gets put away in storage. Tony has access to his old & "outdated" armors. And I definitely remember Steve breaking out his energy shield when he was no longer cap & getting his old 90s armor when became elderly.
>>5568747
Someone on here did it before and swapped it with a picture of that customizer everyone hates
>>5569240
Depends on the writer/story. Some have back ups, like spider-man has been shown to have a back up of an identical, and he's also been shown to need replacements, such as the black suit, bagman and just wearing a mask with street clothes on.
>>5566569
We need an updated version of that Scarlet Spider. That figure looks bad next to the pizza Spidey body.
>>5569780
oh fuck, that kate hawkeye looks surprisingly good
>>5569780
Scale?
>>5569790
it's a ML 3 pack dude
>>5569791
There's two different marvel legends lines in two different scales with identical packaging
>>5569793
the 1/12 one
>>5568752
>41%
It's currently at 33%. don't try to trick people.
>>5569793
Hasbro's taken to calling all their collector lines by the same name. All collector tier Marvel figures by Hasbro are released as Marvel Legends now, whether they're 3 3/4", 6", or part of the upcoming prop line.
>>5569793
context clues in the image help those without autism see that those are six inch figures.
>>5569825
Sorry didn't notice your 3.75 inch cock up there for scale
>>5569825
I thought it was 4", because that black captain america has no torso articulation
Or does he? I c an't see it
>>5569836
He does. You can see if you look closely at the side that there's a cut. The stripes make it less apparent in the middle.
>>5569840
is that a ball joint?
It doesn't look like the crunch Vision uses.
Makes me believe they just blew up that shitty 1:18 Black Cap computer file for him so he'd be 1:12.... but then, the 4" Black Cap doesn't even have a torso joint.
>>5569842
Nah, it looks like an ab crunch. It's just on a new torso mold.
>>5569843
I don't get the gaudy Iron Man repaint.
If they wanted a Civil War pack why not re-release the Black Widow mold in that set? Or Hawkeye? Or a movie-style Vision?
>>5569843
God, I love that gaudy fucking Mango Iron Man.
FUCK THE KNICKS.
>>5569843
That might be the easiest pass I've ever had to make when it comes to Marvel Legends.
>>5569780
No wings for Sam? :(
And am I the only one one wants an updated regular Sam-As-Falcon figure? Both of Toybiz' are trash.
>>5569843
The completionist in me must get this two-pack for my Armory. I would've picked a better IM3 armor to include, though... guess that particular scheme was just easier to make a redeco of.
>>5569780
that vision looks like baby shit
>>5569780

>>5569475

>>5569780
>no wings on captain falcon in a semi high-end box set
No seriously, what the shit? This was supposed to be an easy pitch hasbro, I already wanted 2/3rds of a set for once. Guess it's time to get scalped on kate.
>>5569953
>No wings for Sam? :(
You racist motherfucker.
>>5569780
The no wings thing is a bother but Falcon himself looks good, Kate looks fine, and Vision might be solid, but I'm not sure if that's just the I-desperately-need-a-Vision part of me speaking.
I'll consider this set. If it's ever <40 dollars I'll snag it.
>>5569780
So... wait. Let me see if I'm understanding this one:
In the Red Onslaught wave, where tooling costs could be spread out quite a bit due to the high volume of units produced per figure, the Cap that was supposed to be "definitive" was given the cheapskate painted naked body treatment and didn't have any of the sculpted chainmail detailing that has been an iconic feature of the character since the beginning.
And in this three pack, which will be limited release and will likely barely sell until it reaches the sub-$30 price mark and Hasbro is going to be lucky to come out even in terms of costs, the SamCap was given quite a bit of unique sculpting even though the majority of the suit could have just been straight paint apps on a plain body and people would have been content.
>>5569780
They like putting Vision in those three packs don't they?
No wings? No sale!
Yeah I don't need a figure of Hickman's 'I'm I better Hawkeye than Clint cuz grrrrls rule the world!" wife-insert.
>>5566895
I like the beefmachine.
Going to go Hot Toys route though. I love the tanky looking Rhodes.
>>5569780
>>5569843
>Civil War wave 2 is slowly trickling out
>now these probably will too
I'm not really interested in these two-packs or the Giant Man but I'm really getting sick of the constant flow of Legends that's going on this year. I know they said we'd be getting more figs this year than any previously year but damn.
Just wish Hasbro would slow it down.
The new Cap wave arrived at my local WM a few days ago. Looking through the pegs, I spotted something quite wrong. Somebody bought & returned these figs with the BAF either switched or missing.
>>5570701
You can give Whirlwind the Wasp harem he always dreamed of!
>>5570183
>>5570701
While I don't condone the take and switch of BaF parts, Onslaught is quite the figure, especially put next to the BaFs we've gotten in the past year. Literally just put him together myself. Dude's menacing. Can't wait for the real head.

>>5570734
Take it easy!
>>5570718
Has anyone ever given Onslaught a wash? I know one customizer on 2ch used a sticker for his center piece to make it relfective and also repainted his hands, but im not sure if he gave him a wash or not.

Finally just found the Spidey wave minus Spidergwen. She was the one I wanted most, but I still grabbed Jack. Gotta say. I'm a bit surprised by him. Paint on his head is pretty solid and he actually feels like some nice hard plastic rather than the usual rubbery stuff. My only gripes with him are that his shoulders are ratcheted and his right shoulder is really difficult to lift up and down.
>>5569780
I liked Kate's previous costume from the first run of Young Avengers. The one with the scarf. Probably wouldn't be too hard to customize though.
We will get the MCU Spider-man as a toy, a decent toy, in some capacity, right?
A Legends or a Figuarts or something.
Brother's got zero merchandise so far.
>>5572851
>Will we get a figure of the most beloved marvel character?
Don't worry bud, you'll get your Spider-Man
>>5572851
Is it still unknown if Sony would get a cut of merch profits from CW Spidey? It might be a disincentive for Hasbro to make him if they have to pay both Disney and Sony separately, because I doubt that Disney would divvy up their share.
>>5572863
I don't know, what with Sony being faggots and all.
>>5572851
>Brother's got zero merchandise so far.
He hasn't even appeared yet in any capacity in any kind of media except 5 seconds of a trailer.

I doubt hasbro divvies anything and its done afterwards
I want a Daredevil figure after watching season 2 of the Netflix show. Any suggestions? What's your favorite Daredevil?

I won't put it past Hasbro to make him a SDCC exclusive.
Unless they want to sneak him in to that double dip wave this summer.
>>5572981
Any version that's not a naked blind man with body paint?
>>5572851
we've been getting lots of legends spiderman waves, so definitely from hasbro
plus he looks like toku spider-man so no doubt we'll get a SHF
I mean.. Don't pretend like we're not getting an antman cus he looks like a toku character
>>5572985

I just want a legends Netflix DD.
Not even a SHF Netflix DD, for some reason I want it to be legends.. I dunno why

This looks pretty cool except for the tunic legs. I just read Daredevil Yellow so I have a soft spot for this costume.
>>5569843
How many weapons does this War Machine have?
Maybe I'll get it and use Disco to headswap with Chameleon or some shit.
>>5573011
Theyre all nice looking figures in general, but the head sculpt just on all of them seems too awkward for me. Too narrow maybe?
And I don't like how for the red one they added pieces of armor, when they could have just made the definitive all red suit with no armor.
>>5573011
>one:twelve dolls
awful head
>>5573022
I think it's a great comic daredevil.
>>5573014
Daredevil's looks like it has a small head, but the rest of them look fine.
It could be the turtle neck that might just be making the head look small.
true or false:
best sculp and should be scaled for nearly everything
>>5573197
Am I the only one who thinks that skull looks somehow low quality compared to the rest og the figure?
>>5573231
the neck could use a redo cause it creates a permanent hunch but it's pretty good.
>>5569780
I think I literally just bought the Vision figure from the seller who took this photo. Honestly I've been waiting for this version of him to get made so I can have a proper Rage Of Ultron display. Might get Sam down the road too though I'm not in a rush.
>>5573022
I like the figure by itself but I agree to a certain degree. It's kinda irritating how Hasbro keeps using one main template for most of their male figures that don't have a specific likeness. It's literally a rare example of same-face syndrome in a line of figures.
>>5573234
Looks like it's been hand-stencilled onto the prototype.
If it's anything like their first Batman figure the finished article will have a fairly crisp heat-vinyl appliqué instead.
>>5566663
Obviously he's being Urban
>>5572637
>>5572629
much appreciated

Is there a tutorial there or somewhere else for fixing knee & elbow joints?
>>5570734
Not going to lie... I'll buy that mandroid head off you. I didn't buy any of the Caps from that wave.
>>5569843
whoa
superhero figures always have buff arms and torsos and fucking chicken legs
>>5573197
Noo, I think Frank looks amazing, my last post was just referring to the 3 DDs they revealed
>>5573231
False.
Pizza Spidey made it obsolete.
I can't wait for the new Iron Fist.
>>5574172
The clear fists are really cool, but I'm not really digging the drab green. And seeing this really makes me miss my old Toy-Biz Iron Fist...man what an expressive figure that was.
>>5574172
>super long torso man
>>5574172
Is that everything he's going to come with or are we likely to see the extra hands that we've been seeing more and more with Legends?
>>5574172
>Long torso
>oversized shoulders
>limited hip articulation from pizza spidey
no thanks
>>5574186
Ha what is up with those shoulders
>>5574261
The bulbous shoulders were a frequent problem with Toy Biz MLs. It's still a great figure despite them though.
>>5574205
He has a set of wrapped hands that switch off mid-forearm, but it doesn't look like he comes with any other posed hands that switch out with those
>>5574362
Do those allow for hand swapping? The clear ones look like its one piece.
>>5574439
Since it looks like he only has the one pair of bandaged hands, I don't know how easy it will be to get the hands out of the alternate forearm, but it should be possible.
>>5572867
Marvel/Disney got all merch money from ASM/ASM2, there's no way that got changed for MCU Spidey.
How long do you think it'll be until we get legends that aren't just ripped to shit men wearing body paint. I mean, how can boots just painted on be acceptable these days. I sold off all my legends now, waiting for costume sculpts to improve before I dive back in.
>>5574465
When that stops being how they're drawn.
>>5574465
There already is something for you. Legends for kids, Selects for adults. It's the truth that no one here admits to.
>>5574465
Probably never. There isn't really any impetus for Hasbro to improve, as they have no real competition in this category in the US, and when they hiked ML prices to $20, we proved we'd still lap them up even if they didn't try much harder.
Honestly, time to look elsewhere dude. A lot of Japanese companies and Mezco are making pretty nice Marvel stuff nowadays, and they actually seem to CARE about the quality of their toys. Stop waiting for Hasbro to improve someday like a beaten housewife who believes in her abusive husband.
>>5574215
>Long torso
It doesn't bother me personally but it's a valid complaint
>oversized shoulders>
That is weird. Maybe the shoulders weren't pegged in all the way? None of the other figures on that mold have shoulders that wide.
>limited hip articulation from pizza spidey
Thankfully they've just fixed that with Ben Reilly/Speed Demon. It's about the same as Superior Spidey now.
>>5574476
The only things Legends have over modern Select in terms of the actual product is better ab motion and double elbows. Pretty much on every other front they're equal or Select has the advantage.
>>5574481
>Thankfully they've just fixed that with Ben Reilly/Speed Demon. It's about the same as Superior Spidey now.
Oh neat I hadn't heard anything about that. Glad they fixed it, I might actually pick up Ben Reilly then.
>>5573197
Oh fuck. I hate how good this looks, mostly because I thought I had totally outgrown my Punisher phase. Those glove sculpts are fucking killer, and I love the look of his white webgear. The light wash over it all really makes the details pop amazingly too. And that heasculpt! Oh man. I might need to cave for this...how much are these One:Twelfth Collective things averaging pricewise anyway?
>>5573011
This looks rad, I love yellow suit DD, but I worry about how the pleather suit will limit the hips.
>>5574485
What about ankle rockers? I remember reading that some pretty recent Selects still weren't getting them (like Venom for instance)
>>5574498
Venom is a re-issue from years ago, if they change Venom to have rockers then he counts against their limited allotment of releases because he would switch from re-release to "new". They only get 9 new non-movie figures per year according to their contract.
But anyways. Pretty much every recent release I can think of has had rockers save for one Hulk that was garbage to begin with. Legends seriously just has elbows and abs left, and I personally don't place as much value on an added 20 degrees of motion in either of those joints compared to a night and day difference in sculpt and paint work.
>>5574510
>years ago
I was gonna protest this, but I looked it up and holy shit, Venom came out back in 2013. This makes me fucking panic...where did the time go? That seems like just yesterday.
>>5574481
>Thankfully they've just fixed that with Ben Reilly/Speed Demon. It's about the same as Superior Spidey now.
Huh, I was about to call bullshit on that but I just checked my speed demon and you're right, it's definitely better than older versions of the mold. Mine doesn't look as good as what's in your pic though, can you check the tops of the hips to see if they still have the extra little pieces of plastic at the top of the hip sockets?
Now I want to hunt down a protractor.
>>5574513
I was thinking the same thing as I was typing up my post, man. I started collecting a year out of college, right before Venom came out. Now here I am with thousands of dollars worth of plastic and a display that needs to be rotated with different figures every few weeks just to give each purchase its due time to shine.
