Figuarts joints aren't brittle at all.
But yeah, the joint system isn't bad. What you have to worry about more is the fact that they're very hard to swap due to tightness, which I recommend fine sand paper for cases like this.

Josuke got reissued twice, Crazy Diamond also but it was more seperated by a few years. The only ones you are going to worry about is Kira 2nd and Killer Queen 2nd since they are pretty desirable versus their reissues 1st releases and the upcoming anime.
It's mostly the onslaught of questions for newer owners of SAS's that worry me once the anime begins to air but I'd imagine other generals deal with that also.

There was a few releases with breakage issues but it's mostly solid. Obviously small/thin and rigid accessories need to be handled with care. Also they can sometimes get REALLY stuck and so you need to free the joints properly. Don't try to hamhand it because when shit gets stuck on SAS it really gets stuck hard.

I'm checking mines (Jotaro 1.5) and I can see why. I usually need to rotate the joint along there to get a decent ankle tilt but even then it does look odd. Generally I left that off to him being an older SAS and rarely manipulated the feet.

I've been curious now after seeing all these Jotaro posts, how many of you guys own figures relating to each part? Not counting recolors and whatnot but just characters and their respective stands.

King Crimson is a solid choice if you have to pick a Part 5 stand. That or Sticky Fingers but I love that design in general. You could also pick up Sticky Fingers 2nd for a decent price and get that soundplate for extra display potential.
Pucci didn't translate all that well into SAS form due to the approach on his lower robe. It looks pretty rough with side pieces pulled out for dynamic poses from his fight scenes in the manga. I'm more curious on White Snake since the text printing all over his body can lead to either major or minor issues on his mass release.

My Figuarts Buffaloman was just like that. Hot water and careful force got it more or less straight. Not quite perfect. She's a bit smaller so probably have to be extra careful, though with the heat the plastic should be malleable so there would be less chance of breakage.

Found it. Because he doesnt have butterfly shoulders his left shoulder cant go far out enough. His skirt looks awkward as hell. Wish I could find away to remove the front part of his skirt without breaking it to craft a more flexible skirt because his legs are fully articulated under there.

I only have Wham/Wammu at the moment and he's pretty good. He has the shoulder swivel that you would see on Joseph and the holy sandstorm effects are solid if a little hard to keep on his fists. The blinded eyes head is also solid.
Though someone had a display with him using a Tusk prize figure as alternate Holy Sand Storm effects and it makes it look far more dramatic than the ones he came with. Tempted to try that out.

Nope. Even with the characters' height differences in mind the part 3 figures are generally smaller and not really in scale with the later releases.

Johnathan is a good release overall though the only thing that irks me about him was the hand to grip the sheathe of his sword isn't the best to actually hold it. Also if you do get him you need to put the extended peg all the way through his backpack and into his peghole at his back.
Part 4 Josuke is generally a solid SAS all around given his design and articulation. Only major nitpick I have personally is the lack of his pissed off face when he discovered Kira's true identity at the end of the manga after achieving Bite the Dust. Also if you plan to display him with the little "J" accessory that clips on to his chest, be mindful where you put him since I had times a small nudge would send that thing flying.
If you meant Part 1 Dio, he's okay and I was quite surprised to see his major accessory being the detached neck piece when he tried to take over Johnathan's body at the end of Phantom Blood. Not a big fan of the color choice for a 1st release and the lack of the Stone Mask is pretty crazy for Medicos to do unless they plan to make Dio 2nd with that and possibly Space Ripper Stingy Eyes.

I was sort of opposite of that but due to old All Star Battle discussion and comparing PB Dio to Part 3 Dio.
Part 3 Dio is pretty good. Barring how terrible Medicos did the quality control on his Black release which ended up with a batch of Dio's that would fall apart or have shit paint jobs you generally get a good figure, his stop sign and a lot of small knives. If you also want to get Awakened Dio after draining Joseph's blood he's lacking in accessories but he's okay if you can get him at a decent price.

What are you talking about? Jotaro is the same height as Jonathan and Joseph, 195 cm. Dio was pretty much the same. Everybody knows that the SAS scales are all over the place and the Part 3 SAS are way too tiny compared to the rest when they should be taller than everybody else. The part 3 characters are out of scale between them too, old Joseph is supposed to be taller than Kakyoin and Avdol but the SAS is smaller than Kakyoin.

Esidisi albeit lest popular has some of the best articulation in the line but is sadly lacking in accessories. It was a special color way release that comes packed with yellow punch effects. Different box color will show that. Only reason you would really get him is the color way and the yellow punch effects but the upside is he's super cheap on Madarake last I checked, like 2k cheap but I'm not sure if they updated that.

I don't have on-hand shots but the two don't contrast all that well when I tried to display them together.
My new purchases came in and I got them all relatively cheap because of box issues that aren't even that bad. Josuke was Β₯6000, CD was Β₯4500, and SP was Β₯6000. I think with SP they sent me the wrong one because the picture on the listing had the box all messed up but the one I have is brand new.
