>looking for a 15 year old toy
>only one on ebay
>auction instead of a Buy it Now
>no bids, no watchers
>place to opening bid
>5 days pass, no bids
>since it's an older figure and there are no bids or watchers, I figure that's the end of that
>get outbid by 1 dollar a few minutes before the auction ends, while I'm asleep
>mfw
>>
You should always stay awake in the last 3 minutes or so of the auction to avoid this.
>>
rule #1 of eBay: there is ALWAYS some cunt waiting to snipe you at the last second
>>
>>5554561
Someone was willing to pay more than you.
As a rule I always bid a little more than I want to pay, because losing by one dollar sucks, but winning by just a couple extra bucks isnt that bad. Of course this doesn't apply to all items, some things come up so often that it's worth chancing it with a low bid.
>>
>>5554565
fucking this

i set alarms for the auction time so i can be there real-time and i dont put in a final bid until the last ten seconds
>>
>>5554561

>>
>>5554561
Am I the only one who doesn't bid until the last 5-10 seconds? As a buyer wouldn't you want to wait as long as possible to keep the price down?
>>
>>5554761
