Any bdaman players?
>>
fuck b-daman i got some thinking they'd be super popular at my school right after the beyblade and yu-gi-oh fads and i was the only one who ever had any
>>
>>5553857
>This

I only ever had two but I was pissed that none of my friends were into it. The fact that they were like chibi starter gundam with customizable armor always seemed awesome to me tho.
>>
>>5553857
Was in 10th grade when b-daman was relevant here in kangarooland. the people i hung out with were actually in to it.

Now, Crush Gear was shit.
>>
>>5553857
I wonder if it had anything to do with it coming off the tail end of Beyblade.
>>
Did they ever made one that shoots as strong or stronger than this guy, or it's predecessor? I found the recent one to be way weaker... Was that a safety thing?
>>
>>5553847
Nah, all of my friends had grown out of those kinds of games by the time it came out. Shame, cause it's actually pretty fun.

I remember TRU clearancing a bunch of Battle B-Daman for like 3 bucks each, I later gave them away except for Cobalt Blade who was entirely my favorite. I wish they sold the mods too, but i was out of luck. The only one i got from Crossfire was the bear one. they sure cheaped out with this one for not being as customizeable.

That was the one with the cars that smash into each other right? i mosty remember that the anime was terrible.

^I also have these. A red space armor one and pic related. now these were better
>>
>>5553960
Probably was that. Bdaman also take a lot more time to set up and play then bleyblades did
>>
>>5553847
I dont really get the point of playing with these, call me an edgefag if you will. I mean you load a ball on its stomach right, fire it like a canon and then what? I just dont think it has much replay value
>>
>>5554758
you shoot them at shit
>>
I love bdaman. Mostly because the original anime that i grew up with but i still play my fave from mine is acele dravise (a combo that i made)

Super B-daman had the stupidest, coolest shit ever.

I actually had this, it was stupid as hell, when separated their shots are weak as shit, combined, they're just ok and the gattai process gets annoying after a while.
But a gattai toy is always cool.

>tfw would replace the spring with one from a pen for faster shooting
I was the dirtiest motherfucker when it came to matches when my friends and I got into B-Daman. Then we found out about how the original Japanese ones used glass marbles and we nearly lost our shit.

What do you mean? The american versions don't use glass marbles? I only collected the Bakugaiden line in the 90s.
>>
>>5554962
>The american versions don't use glass marbles?
Just plastic balls. They don't have the density, but they have excellent initial velocity.
>>
>>5554976
Well, that's just balls.
>>
>>5554976
Actually, I believe the plastic ones were heavier the glass ones.

What about metal ball bearings? Do they still make models that use them?
>>
>>5554758
>>5554792
maybe that's why they weren't popular, what with our smoothed missiles and dulled out drills and swords. Nerf and etc is doing well because foam can't hurt a moth. plastic marbles, they potentially can.

I kinda liked it when they made B-Daman toys for Bomberman, but i still wish for Bomberman toys that match his not-Jetters design. Maybe even an Act Zero
>>
>>5555172
>safety measures for retards

makes sense, with america's low iq and all
>>
>>5553960
But B-Daman is older than Beyblade...

Oh, you're talking about BATTLE B-Daman.
>>
>>5554976
The American plastic balls have a metal bearing in the center to add weight. They're essentially Strike Shots.
>>
>>5555183
I'm pretty sure B-Daman got started with Bomberman toys. The Bomberman marble shooters were so popular that they turned it into its own unlicensed, customizable toyline.

Reminder that there was a season of B-Daman in Japan where all of the blasters looked like guns and all of the attachments were artillery weapons and magazine clips.

Golly gosh, I wonder why that one didn't make it stateside.

probly cuz you hold em black guy style? and if you hold it the right way, the b-daman itself would like weird on the side. They shouldve made it upside down, at least that way the symmetry is better
>>
>>5555226
The way Bomberman stagnated and Hudson closed its doors, Takara had to cut the Bomberman reference and remove of all likeness to it if they wanted B-daman to continue as a toyline.
>>
>>5555242
Look up Revolver Hades. It's exactly what you're describing.
