TMNT General
Looks like NECA is getting on the Big Turtle fun. 1/4 scale figures based on the first movie.
Something funky is happening with that arm joint, I hope they fix that by release.
Rest of pics here:

eeeehhhhh... too fucking big, but they're only around $100, right?
I'm not sure if i want it, but it seems like they're the only ones that will do faithful renditions for the turtles, aside from Revoltech.
But then, Revoltech usually only does new stuff....
Man, I'm not sure if i want to jump in, but it looks so damn good.
>>5486007
They said $100 on Twitter, yeah. For a 1/4 scale figure that's pretty good, and from what I've seen of their other 1/4 figures they do a damn good job.
>>5484187
>1/4
Eh, fuck it. It's too big for me. It's not my favorite version of the turtles either, so it's definitely not worth it.
Armaggon and human Karai are comfirmed! Also Muck Man will release Q4 of this year
>>5486450
He's pretty big. Is it gonna be a deluxe figure? I'd hate to see him get the Slash treatment.
>>5486458
>Donatello Joins Kiss
These guys are already out and they confuse the hell out of me
>>5486496
OMG fucking finally, she looks decent. I want to believe.
>>5486825
Playmates always look like absolute garbage on release.
>>5486496
She'll be the rarest figure of the line. Just you watch.
>1/4 scale Turtles from my favourite movie
Fuck, I don't have the money or space for them in my small ass apartment. But I want them so bad, need to figure something out.
>>5487232
Buy a small bookcase from Walmart or Target, just a two shelfer or something. Place them on top of that. They'll be excellent centerpieces to your collection.
>>5486496
Store version will have 50% less paint apps. Thigh and arm guards won't be painted and belt will just be purple. Still getting her though, I picked up snek version since it was the only Karai but I've been waiting on this vesion since her debut.
>>5487539
No Walmarts or Targets here in Finland, but I get the idea. Ikea will have a decent enough shelf for sure. They'll make a excellent centerpiece for sure like you said.
>>5486479
man april is going to get some srs pleasure out of that.
CAN WE JUST HAVE A WORD ABOUT THIS HOLY FUCKING SHIT 1/2
>>5486450
I've been waiting 30 years for an Armaggon figure and....what is this?
2/2 NO MORE RIDICULOUS EBAY AUCTIONS YES!?
When's the Gokin Krang reissue supposed to release? Ebay HK sellers aren't exactly the best with their estimates
>>5489392
Holy shit that's gorgeous.
>>5489363
>comic turtles
Officially better than anything Lego did with this line.
Anyone else notice that most of the merchandise that is based on the 80's cartoon is mostly the stuff that happened in the first 5 episodes?
Got the Mega Bloks blind bags of Raph and a Foot Soldier
Do you think that they'll bring back the Mini Mutants soon?
>>5490739
Good. The first 5 episodes are the best Turtles-related media ever made. The rest of the show, not so much.
>>5489363
Jesus fucking christ!
Are those original comic turtles?
I need to know more, when are they out and where can I find more pics?
>>5490739
Those were the only good episodes.
Actual action
Nice jokes
Decent animation
An arc
>>5490739
You know who needs to be made?
>>5486479
I like the face sculpt on this one, I might get it.
>>5486493
What are they supposed to be based on?
Didn't know whether this was the place, but I started doing shoots of my Mega Bloks sets, tell me what you think!
Another one!
Here's some more pics of the original turtles mega bloks set if anyones interested.
>>5497842
>>5495805
They have the color scheme of the Nick Turtles but they look like the 80's Turtles
If anyone knows the date these come out I'd love to know
>>5497849
>>5497846
Here's some of the technodrome, looks as though this line is gonna be great.
They already have done a far superior job to what lego attempted
>>5497868
>>5497868
>They already have done a far superior job to what lego attempted
Lego never made the original tmnt so it makes no sense to compare it. Only the new nick turtles and movie turtles should be compared as that what was made.
>>5497873
>>5486904
I guess Neca should make Nick Turtle action figures.
>>5497878
It's does make sense because I'm talking about what they did with the rights.
Even if I were to only compare the nick turtles they still did a far better job.
Don't get me wrong, I still like Lego, they put some great stuff out but I like how Mega Bloks are targeting a more mature audience.
>>5497887
>tmnt
>mature
lmao
>>5497898
I'm guessing you haven't read the original comics
>>5497913
I'm guessing you haven't either.
>>5497913
The ones that are a blatant parody of Daredevil?
>>5497913
Wow so mature.
>>5498026
>turtles as ninjas cutting each others head's off is mature
how does this not even phase you? oh right, violence is normal in america
>>5498035
No I'm from New Zealand and I have no idea what you're alluding to when you're talking about them cutting peoples heads off, I'm assuming you just made that up to sound dramatic.
>>5498054
I don't know whats more dramatic, pretending black and white cartoons created from a drug high as 'mature' or ignoring the fact that tmnt has always been a sell out from the very first episode on air in the 80s making it about toys for children first and foremost forever and ever. Enjoy your bayformer knock offs.
>>5498035
>violence is normal in america
this is why America fears becoming an Islamic nation- if it did, Americans would have to become less violent. Despite all the beheadings and such, American police are actually more violent than Muslim dictators. We kill each other over sports teams losing or to steal clothes off a dead man's back.
>>5498062
I think it's been quite clear he was referring to the original comics, nobody ever defended the Bay movie, you're just being dramatic again instead of having a point.
You need to let it go, you were wrong and now you're arguments are becoming counter-productive.
If TMNT really does upset you this much maybe you shouldn't trigger yourself by posting in TMNT threads.
>>5498035
When did the turtles cut anyone's head off?
>>5498090
When they did it for mature audiences such as true fans such as you and me.
>>5498099
Can you elaborate?
I'm actually quite interested, I just found out the old comics were like this.
>>5498090
They never did, this guy was just making shit up to sound like he had read them so he could criticize them.
Do read the comics though, they are by far some of the best comics I have read and it will give you a whole different perception of the turtles and they are quite violent and serious.
>>5498217
They're not /that/ graphic, but they do kill, curse, drink, have existential crisis/depression, there's a lot of morally grey & dark/emotional material scattered throughout. Plenty of goofy shit too, though. The only beheading that immediately comes to mind is in the new comics, but I don't wanna spoil it for you.
>>5498236
>talking turtles can be violent and dangerous
I think Muslim terrorists are a little more realistic to what qualities as dangerous.
>>5498273
>its just a comic book!
>its deep and mature and really has grey zones!
make up your mind anon
>>5497842
>if we get 2003 Mega Bloks TMNT, we could conceivably have a Turtles Forever display
What a time to be alive. I doubt it'll happen, though.
...and yes, I'm aware the 2003 series got Mega Bloks back in the day but those are hot garbage compared to this stuff.
>>5498285
There are various different people in this conversation, anon.
The megabloks tmnt looks great.
>>5498026
Because they're not wrong dipshit.
>>5497868
Does the splinter have sleeves sculpted or is that how he's going to look?
>>5498408
they are though
>>5486450
That's pretty jawsome.
>people arguing over violence because a generation y fag got upset over violent imagery
seems like the lack of war has made some people a little antsy and in need of some normalcy again.
>>5498285
Comic books are not just superheroes, they have well thought out and complex stories now, Alan Moores Watchmen made it into Time magazines top one hundred novels of all time.
I know you probably just tried to argue any point because you had your feelings hurt earlier, but what do you expect when you don't think about what you're saying?
>>5498520
Not too sure, sorry anon.
Her's a better pic if you're interested
>>5498520
Sorry, disregard my earlier comment, It's quite clear he has sculpted arms from the pic I uploaded.
>>5498555
Beautiful pic anon
>>5498614
>> Cast-off Splinter
>> no cast-off April O' Neil
i'm so fucking tired of playmates, i'd rather have the license go to another evil.
>>5498654
I was wondering about that.
Mega Bloks: minifig scale
Minimates: minifig scale
Playmates: standard whatever their scale is and sometimes 1/12
Figuarts: 1/12, but overpriced exclusive
Neca: 1/4
Mondo: 1/6, but expensive as fuck
Also I recall Playmates was pretty butthurt with Neca doing the comic turtles and trying their own (never released) and then again during the Nick line, but turning out to be disappointing shit with SCULPTED SHADING.
>>5498680
Has anyone ever attempted a wash on those playmates original comic turtles?
I'd like to see if the shading holds up
>>5498703
this one?
>>5498728
looks a lot better but still a bit off, neca did a far better job on capturing the shading
>>5498728
slightly better but they still look like scares on some spots.
>>5498728
this wouldn't be so bad if not for the nuclear color scheme
dunno what playmates was thinking with that shit, they coulda stood apart from NECA's stuff with a unique color palette, sure, but not that one (which looks custom but it's not far off from the retail version)
>>5498680
the nick line is about 5" scale, at least judging by Shredder and the official heights of the turtles vs the figure heights
I tried to match them with some other figures and accessories, but can't find much that works. any other (Western) 5" lines?
>>5499139
McFarlane's stuff, though their Ass Creed stuff could be 6" scale if you pretend they're normal 17th and 18th Century people, since they were so malnourished the majority were manlets back then.
got my bootleg neca, look pretty good for what they are.
there are some issues like the lack of color on some of the joints as well as the damage on mikey's chest, not bad for $40 though.
Well, solicitations for the Figuarts turtles just went up. Wondering which is more likely.
1. My distributor is lying about MSRP to make their awful wholesale price look better.
2. BBTS is undercutting MSRP by a huge amount just to make them move.
3. Bluefin is waaaay cheaper than any distributor.
>>5501735
The shame is, as crazy at it is now, you just know people will be falling over themselves to pay $125+ about a year and a half from now.
>>5501599
pose them better
