The figure does look quite nice though, with the translucent red.
Fi-Dia Blocks, which can be ordered by runner from the website.

They're also compatible with the long-sold-out BJPM mentioned before.
SCITEX, another of the many ZOIDs spinoffs.
Many adventures had by the little blue 'n white space man in the hand-me-down r-1000 robotix kit I had access to in my youth
the parts have some pretty great looking Millennium Falcon-esque greeble on them

Yeah, Zoids Blox! Fuck yeah, I loved those!
By the time I found out about them, though, the line was almost done. I got most of the little ones, the eagle, and the phoenix, and then I couldn't ever find them again.

As someone who wasn't into K'Nex as a kid, what's wrong with it now?
>>5482549
I can still remember the commercials.

After a little digging I was a little surprised, but someone is actually still making full kits for this system
Sorry for the lack of image but as always google is your friend.
There was Zaks, which were mostly triangle and squares that hinged together.
There was Legions of Power which had multiple types of connections and some motorized sets. C batteries I believe.
You might count Mantech here as well. They were figures with a modular design.

I have 2 sets of these, and they're a little underwhelming in person. The black and white only concept they have makes sense when they explain it. They said they didn't want people to have to buy extra sets for coherent color schemes, which makes sense and I appreciate. The issue is no colors makes the ultra bland sculpts that much more boring to look at. Some more varied interesting parts would have gone a long way.

Too soon, anon...
>>5482355
its still on going as garage kits

Concept and look was cool but the plastic sucked ass.
Dropping by /toy/ and I was happy to run across this thread, since I have a question. What is /toy/'s opinion of Kotobukiya Zoid kits? I'm thinking about buying one sometime soon.
>>5494517
Ask in gunpla/plamo generals. You'll have better luck.
>>5494517
I guess I can answer your question, I meant to yesterday when it first popped up.
The HMM kits are pretty awesome, they supply a realistic range of motion while still looking great. I personally find building them somewhat therapeutic and extremely enjoyable. I've only put together a handful of them, Shadow Fox, Command Wolf and a few D-Styles but I have about 6 more on a shelf including Fuhrer, Geno Breaker, Geno Saurer, Fire Fox, a alternate color Command Wolf, another 3 D-Style sets... some others.
Anyway. I find them highly rewarding and the pricing isn't terrible if you get them off of AmiAmi.
Now, the one you posted, I think it looks like a custom? At least the paint job. It looks like a Geno Breaker otherwise. It's one of the great things in general about plastic models, just how customizable they can be if you want to put the time into them!
