Having trouble with this one. Same price range, same style, same design. The only big differences are the accessories (they both have a Lawgiver, everything else is trivial) and the Lawmaster bikes.
Which would you choose?

In everything except the face, I think 3A has Mezco beat. The slightly more classic look of the 3A just edges it out. I also dont't like how huge the zipper on Mezco's looks. That said, I think the best Dredd face remains the LCBH version.

This is my plan as well.
I've got the Mezco Dredd but I think I may pick up the 3A Dredd + Bike and decide which I want to keep.
I may pass on the Mezco bike all together.

I think the lcbh jude death looks really nice. The 3a one looks good, but the articulation seems hindered by the body suit.

I like my Mezco Dredd just fine, having purchased both regular and PX versions. The lack of ankle tilt really kills an otherwise great figure. Not sure if 3A's will be the same.
3A's Dark Judges look fantastic, but after receiving Death, I'm kinda wishing his head sculpt was more on par with the LCBH one. Also, a swappable 'ghost' torso would've added more value to the price tag, since he's frequently pictured as such.
They definitely didn't skimp on accessories with the upcoming Judge Fear though.
Compare Mezco's PX Dredd with Lawmaster set ($260 USD) VS 3A's Dredd with Lawmaster ($175 USD). If you're not a fan of the shiny blue Dredd from Mezco's set, you can get the regular version ($65 USD) and Lawmaster ($125 USD) which brings it to $190 USD before shipping/tax
Keep in mind that Mezco might not continue to expand their Dredd line since they seem to be focusing on Marvel, DC and other stuff now.

I had to go with Mezco in the end. He's fucking awesome, bulkier and a less downs sybdrome face sculpt than 3A.
Shame though, because 3A are more likely to release an Anderson than Mezco are...

3a have already confirmed 3 more dark judges, a couple more ABC warriors, as well as being a 100% 2000AD line.

That's what i thought.
Even Mezco's announcement about their next DC figures took almost a year, so quit speaking BS.
If Mezco doesn't announce or say anything for another year, then it's likely Judge Dredd didn't sell welll enough for them to consider other characters from his series.

Funny that, since i actually stopped giving a shit about dolls more than ten years ago.
Seeing Mezco's stuff at this level of quality really tickles my fancy, so i don't really find them all that overpriced, especially when you consider what others sell toys at. In fact, compared to Japanese collector lines, it's a hell of a deal.

Even ignoring the scowl it has a clearly better paintjob and a better jawline, the way the Mezco is painted almost makes it look like he has a double chin.

3A Dredd looks a lot better than Mezo's in that it looks closer to the Classic Dredd look. I'd give anything to have some high quality figures based on Ezquerra's style. Especially a good Dredd and Johnny Alpha.

Fear looks to be a better figure, Death is more iconic/ popular character. Who do you like more? Personally I'm getting both.

I'm putting this in practice. My Death just hit US shores from mandarake this week. Mezco Dredd awaits him on my desk and I'm putting in a pre-order for Fear soon enough. Not going to get the 3A Dredd because I think it looks inferior, but both their Lawmaster and Mezco's are beautiful so I'll be getting both.
