Not sure if this is the right area to post this or not, but here it goes:

I recently bought what I thought was a legit wind waker nendoroid, but it turned out to be a bootleg instead. I got my payment refunded, but I still have the broken bootleg.

I figure I can repaint this into a classic Link, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I come from building/painting miniatures and models - can I just soak it in simple green or power purple to eat away any paint and then prime all the parts, or do I just give it a good wash then prime over all the parts?
Will my acrylic paints work if I give the figure a good clear coat after painting?

i have no clue, but i really like the idea and would love if you would post pictures of the process and final product.

we also have a Custom thread here, but i guess having your own thread won't hurt.

With bootleg plastic, who knows? I'd just prime and paint inmediately, but from the KO nendos I have, it seems like over the years they fade in colour pretty badly. The plastic dyes or paints used is probably kinda shit.
