Blizzard has all the extra money on Earth to throw at Neca to make decent figures. Look at how they're launching so many games and setting up the Warcraft movie.
Valve pumps a lot of its profits back into the company, plus their last line for TF2 came out a few years ago anyways.

They're starting so many new games and trying so hard to make the Warcraft movie relevant because their one big cash cow was WoW and that's been tanking hard the past few years. No coincidence that they current marketing push is happening just after the last WoW expansion flopped.
