There are several sliding fist guys (Gen Scourge comes to mind) There are evenmore with swivel fists, ie the hand is on a pin swivel that spins, you can lift a panel, spin out the fist, often spinning back in some other accoutremont, like terradive's thrusters, then snap the panel back into place.
Both of those are ages old technology perfect to hide an unsightly gap that has to exist, but abandoned to keep parts count down.
Hell, if they'd have made any effort at all, like having his arm orient so the gap was on the bottom and partly hidden by that panel on the armature that hangs out there anyway, I wouldn't say a word about it. But they just don't seem to care anymore about anything but minimizing production costs anymore, even on the showpiece toys like the MPs

I really like the gold limb, but the rest of this set isn't gaudy enough to scratch my G2 pleasure centers. Could have grabbed one a little while ago, but for $100 it's hard to justify. Sold out now anyway on Amazon now.
I'm happy spending the 100. I love G2. The all gold limb will look awesome. And superion is the best CW Combiner imo, so it's a win win.

It's just personal taste for me. Like I said, most of them aren't gaudy enough to be worth the price. If I'm dropping $100 on a mold I already own for a G2 aesthetic, it better be the G2-iest G2 toy to ever G2.
That said, G2 Menasor is a lot more tempting. I hope Perfect Effect is planning on making their hand/feet sets in more colors. This combiner train is barely half over it seems.

It was a repaint, but otherwise the same. I got that two-pack, too...in fact, I've had a bit of a joke mini-collection going because of it.
The "Universe" backstory says that version of Obsidian actually overthrew BW/BM Megs and ruled Cybertron (until Unicron grabbed him)...then the "Shadow Blade" repaint of TFA Voyager Megs came out in the same colors as Universe Obsidian.
Then so did WFC Darkside Megatron. Then so did Thrilling 30 IDW Megatron.
I've got them all standing on my toy shelf as my Obsidian collection, sort of a "Nemesis Megatron" group to go along with my Nemesis Prime collection.
