In the show it's a "power mace" and when not in use the little points retract to look like >>5392856

When she gets ready to use it the points extend with the 1x1 circles under them and it makes an electric whine like a flashbulb charging.

I thought it was cool and I have two copies of her mace, one set up each way and I swap them out depending on how I pose her.

Anon on holiday in Sweden here. Went to the Mall of Scandinavia today which is (I'm pretty sure) home to the only Lego brand Store in the country.

I was going to get the King's Mech or a Kopaka&Melum Unity Set, but was a little tight on my holiday budget and so brought home a couple of Ultimates.

Both Lavaria and Beast Master are great figures who come with cool stuff, but I like BM's 'big weapon' more. Lavaria's spider legs get in the way of her weaponry a bit.

In LDD if you wanted to elevate one set above another it's just easier to build a stand for it

I'm not sure if there's a way in the program to change the height of a brick on the plane without building it onto something

Likely that picture was generated in BlueRender, POVRay is a bit sharper than that and hard more angular shadows.

On a side note, how concerned should I be about the stickers on the Mech. Apply or don't? I've never dealt with stickers outside of a police boat I had from 1995 or some shit.
>>
>>5393639
Expect to be asked if you're finding everything okay every 3 seconds on average, every 5 seconds if it's busy.

I'd just leave the stickers off but it's your call.

Have fun.
>>
>>5393639
I guess people hate stickers? I don't. I apply them with an exacto knife. Just like any other decal in a model kit, avoid touching the adhesive with your bare skin, peel the sticker off the sheet with the knife tip and line it up before you apply it.

I guess people hate the stickers because they're so unforgiving. You fuck that shit up and put it on crooked and that's it- it's crooked forever. You can't get them back off without fucking them even worse.
>>
>>5393650
They train their employees like any other high end specialty store does, more like a personal shopping assistant than just clerk that doesn't give a shit if you come in or not. I actually find it fun to talk to them about what I'm their for and what I'm gonna do with it and really geek out. I've never met a Lego store employee that wasn't 100% into it, too.

Go ahead, let your power level show. It's a safe space.
>>
>>5393650
>>5393653
Thanks, I'm looking at the instructions now to see how many stickers there are now.
>>
>>5393653
>I guess people hate the stickers because they're so unforgiving.

naw, they limit parts use, though some sets are worse than others. Speed Champions are pretty bad. Apply all the stickers and now you can build a Ferrari or a slightly different shaped Ferrari.
>>
>>5393584
Yup
>>
>>5393683
I'd think printed pieces limit reuse more than stickers, as with stickers you have the option of putting them on and even removing them later if you want.
>>
>>5393683
Huh. I didn't even consider that... I guess my collection is big enough and I'm willing to BL for any individual parts I want that I just treat the decal'd pieces as if they were printed pieces.

Why not try and convince him to make some MOCs showing what he is talking about, and either selling them, or hell, get a tism grant for "art" and show them off as said art?

Seriously, if shit like "interior semiotics" and "plop egg" can be hailed as HIGH ART FOR THE MASSES, why cant an autism afflicted persons representation of "the tiers of society versus his personal likes, hobbies and dreams" be the same thing, if not more?

Seriously, im sure a lot of tismos, at different levels, can and do create great and wonderful things that just get ignored because "lol, hes weird and doesnt represent what society told me was normal and important!"

what the fuck

>>
>>5393801
Not quite true. I personally believe it is a mix of a lot of the chemicals consumed in foods and containers holding said foods, both during pregnancy and after being born, and also a lot of chems we are exposed to even in the very air we breathe. Xenoestrogens for sure have been doing damage to us in a big way. But hey, im sure ill get called a tinfoiler and be told to go back to /pol/ or /x/. And no, I do NOT believe vaccines cause it at all, but the shit in plastics and the amount of estrogen pissed into the water supply because of birth control?

It would explain the explosions of transgendered people over the last 20+ years or so. And im NOT talking shit about trannys. Live your life how you want man, who cares. If any of us did, we sure as shit wouldnt be on a taiwanese woodcarving forums comparing our toys, would we?

And I stand by what I said in my other reply. Inspire the family member with autism to use the lego he builds as a creative outlet. Its def one of the best toys/hobbies for that.
>>

Has anyone returned a pre-ordered Lego game?

It's my first time buying a Lego game at launch price because I want the Silver Centurion Minifig, but I'm not really interested in the game. I don't really wanna buy it, then return it because it seems really scummy to do that without the pre-order bonus, and I don't think they'll accept the return without it either.

Do you anons just re-sell the game at a loss or something?

For new sets, yes (although some places like TRU will price match). Clearance deals can be pretty good in other stores. The big benefit to shopping through Lego itself, in store or online, is getting VIP points. They effectively give you 5% back from everything you buy.

It's probably worth noting that if you're outside the US, the Lego Store has pretty steep shipping costs.

>>
>>5393949
"I personally believe" BASED ON research I have read that definitely says we are exposed to probably a million times more chemicals, estrogens especially, than we USED TO BE. He was saying weve always had this same level of autists, trannies, cancers and other diseases, we just used to hide it. No, the numbers have definitely skyrocketed is all im saying. Just like how people used to smoke all the time, even from childhood, and never had near as much cancers and breathing conditions as we do now because big tabacco didnt have need to make the cigs addictive and full of fucking carcinogens. Hell, a lot of people probably got their tobacco from farmers and special herbalists and shit back then who didnt even have the means or learning to put additives and shit in it.

All I was saying is, yeah, we have pumped tons more of god knows what into the air, water and food we expose ourselves to every day, and due to that long term exposure, we are now seeing the results. Theres plenty of science out there, done by real, recognized and accredited, scientists and research groups, you just have to look.

Fucking hell, start a conversation and get screamed at about "nuh UHHHHH, you just retarded!"

That mecha horse though. Lame. I mean, it's a neat idea and all but the legs SUCK. I need to rebuild the legs completely to give them some articulation. As it is now it's a motorcycle that transforms into a horse STATUE.

This guy is a fucking loonie.

But he's right about chemicals. There's so much pesticide absorbed into food and the plastic that has been seeping into food. You've ever opened a can of tomato sauce or soup and it has that delicious tin after taste? Just imagine that stuff in all your food like soda, mayo, candy. Pretty much everything is packed in plastic these days for freshness and I without a doubt believe that for decades it has been seeping into the human system. There wouldn't be a recent push to try and manufacture plastics without these seeping components if it wasn't happening. And not also mentioning microwaving said plastics into food. I now try to store food in glass containers when available if possible.

Now, yes, it's a sad thing, but in the evolutionary chain of things, it is only making humans stronger and in the future be able to absorb much more plastic into our systems.

Perhaps one day we will reach the enlightenment point and become Lego figures ourselves.

>>5393868
If it's a big box game, I think it requires the figure. If it's just a game with a side polybag, it should be OK to return. Pic related you can see the big box down there.

I'll concede that chemicals may be having some minor effects on our health and metal health. But what you claim to be a happening, is nothing more then population growth and societal change.

Our global population has grown by about 3.5 billion in the last 50 years. Assuming that rates or mental impairment has stayed the same, then that still would have doubled as well. Not because there was some sort of sudden "rise", but because there was a rise across the board.

Also, we're much more "tolerant" now.
200 years ago if you had a retard child, you'd leave it outside for the animals to eat or smother it in it's crib and never speak of it again. 50 years ago, you'd dump it at an asylum with 200-300 other tards and maby visit it once every year or five. Now days you proudly display your "special needs child" and rave on about how they're so special and amazing, and maby once a month if you can afford it, send them off to a group home for a few days with 10-20 other tards.

Also, as far as you're comment about the "explosions of transgendered people over the last 20+ years or so".
Once again, that's tolerance. 50 years ago if you were gay, you kept it completely secret and tried to suppress your feelings and desires. 20 years ago, you still kinda kept it behind closed doors. Now days you have a giant street parade through the middle of Sydney. Same with Trannys.
We're much more "tolerant", which means people who have lived in secret can now be open.
To a lesser extent it's also a way for certain people do be special snowflakes and infallible douche bags. But for most parts it's because of "tolerance".

How's that set? I watched a review of it and it seemed to have no interior whatsoever.

It's ok. For the price it was it's pretty bare bones. The ship is pretty plain and has barely any interior. Couple of easy to get minifigs and a baby hutt you probably don't give a fuck about. Should have been 30ish dollars cheaper. Might be fun for me to mod an interior for.

It was a gift desu. I've never even watched The Clone Wars. Maybe I will one day.
