You can put any color bandana, etc. on one of those darker green bodies and have whatever turtle you want. There should be 4 shades of green to really be able to properly represent the turtles as I know them.

You ever hear a song that you like at first but then it's played way too much everywhere and you start to just want to avoid it? That's exactly what's going on here.
A few years ago the 80s turtles started getting merchandise for the older generation like crazy and it's everywhere and has gotten old to me. At first I was happy. They were my childhood, but I've since realized that the show has far from aged well and is only good to watch for how bad it is (great voice cast aside). Same thing goes for Mighty Morphin. Its worshipped even though it's one of the worse, if not the worst, seasons of power rangers yet that's all the fucking merch we get and just like with the turtles they always use the same shit art.
All for nostalgia.
So yeah. I'm tired of the 80s toon. I will never not be grateful for what it did for the turtles though.
Alright i'm coming here looking for advice. I recently purchased the skylanders megabloks set with Eyebrawl in it because I thought he looked pretty rad but he had some weird clear layer over him when I took him out of the baggies. I was wondering if you guys have ever experienced this with Megabloks. Is it plastic leakage, should I be worried, anyone have some advice? Should I just return it? I've bought a decent amount of them over time and this has never happened and i'm OCD with taking care of my figures so I am desperate for help.

Totally dig the four-armed foot soldier - I'm going to grab any I can find (stupid fucking useful chase figure).
Halo Heroes came out at my walmart. I grabbed one of each. Not that impressed, especially for the cost. They -are- super pretty in general, and I totally dig that Buck has an actual CoD accessory peg on his armor for a knife - makes me wish they'd actually implement that more often in the other lines (okay, mostly just Halo).
I REALLY want the 90's turtles sets, out of pure nostalgia. And the obsessive-compulsive need for my MegaBloks figures to all have the CoD-level articulation. Bebop and Rocksteady, man. Bebop and Rocksteady.
I'm really, really hoping that the local discount stores get the same amount of MegaBloks from the big retailers this year as they did after Christmas last year. I scored most of my MegaBloks for 50-75% off the original prices last year, mostly from Ross stores.

The three Chinese brands that I have encountered are Star Diamond, Sluban, and Enlighten. I would say you started off with the best brand of the three. Sluban isn't too far off from Star Diamond, though. I think most of their sets are copies of old Oxford sets. The more recent Sluban sets have proprietary minifigures, and they're not half-bad. Early Enlighten sets are a little dicey in terms of quality, but they've recently showed signs of stepping up their game. They just rolled out a new "City" theme, a fantasy pirates theme, and a "Fast & Furious" racing theme.

I hated building it. I got the whole classic TMNT mega bloks line. The figures are incredible and fun, but MB still has a long way to go on bricks compared to lego.
It was missing pieces, parts had mold flashing and wouldn't fit, the clutch power is bad a lot of the time, the joints don't work with the clutch of the bricks (try to move a foot aand it will come apart before the balljoint moves, etc).
That being said I like the finished product, despite hating the build. I will buy any Krang's android body tho, even one with elbows and hands this terrible.

Made this from a COGO set and some other parts; holds really well. The tires get oily when stored for long periods.
Both COGO and Sluban's blue is some kind of darker blue and their yellow is orange-ish. The other high-quality knockoffs have blue and yellow that matches Lego.

Neither franchise is meant for kids so this line was aimed at teens-adults from the get go.
Nick TMNT is a kids franchise just like their power rangers, minions, and spongebob. All of which the minifigures are nothing like the halo, cod, and assassin's creed lines which are made for older people.

Just a word of warning. Its fairly easy to get them to sit on the bottom couch, but not on top. If you can't tell in the picture I have the coffee mug against mikey's knee to hold him up.

The single pack turtles all share the same colors. Krang's Rampage has darker, cartoon-accurate colors.
Presumably any full sets we get later will also have the cartoon colors.
