The jacket will be glued at the back/shoulderblade area but easy enough to remove with an x-acto knife. Note, however, that the white "sleeves" are separate and are the actual mold of the boy's arms. That will not be removable.
So you can remove the jacker part with extremely minor modification but he will still have the long, white sleeves connecting effectively to nothing.
