any recommendations for 6 inch star wars black series figures?
Original stormtroopers are all nice.
X-Wing pilot Luke, Boba Fett, Han Solo, Darth Maul, and the various Stormtroopers are quite good.
There is a huge quality drop off after that, and the line should be avoided.
You can't go wrong with the Clone Troopers or regular troopers.
I take it the revoltech and figma star wars figures are better quality now than the black series? how's the force awakens rey 6 inch figure?

The figuarts and mafex figures are, generally, better. Some of the revoltechs are arguably better. There are no Figma figures. Actually, I don't think there's a six inch rey yet either, is there?

There's a ROTJ Palpatine, and if all you're looking for is a basic "old man in robes" he'll do. He's very basic with minimal paint, and his face doesn't look great, but he's the only 6 inch Sheev there is.

The Figuarts and Mafex figures are better, but not without their flaws (some people dislike plastic capes/fabric capes/etc.). The Revoltech figures are also arguably better, but they have the usual love-it-or-hate-it aspects of Revoltechs, like the clicky joints and dynamic sculpts. As for Rey, the Black Series figure is okay, but not worth more than MSRP.

She restocks with the TIE pilot wave, with a slightly improved paintjob.
I repainted my Rey, slit her skirt so her legs could move more, and replaced the stiff plastic strap on her staff. Now she's my favourite TFA Black figure.

The newer Rey has larger eyes and more paint on her lips. A subtle change but still an improvement from pic related.
The easiest signal is that ver2 BB8 has a lot more panel lining on his body. The first version is pretty much line-less which makes his head really stand out.

I got the Pilot today, he's probably my favorite looking one out of the 6 inch black series, I wish the 3.75 versions had more articulation so I could put them in my ships.

If you are looking for a figure you can pose then this isnt the one for you. I got a black series stormtrooper and he cant even hold his gun in his hands. I would recommend another figure although the better ones are more expensive

A friend has the Speeder Bike/Scout Trooper. If you can find it for $20, it's all right.
I got Boba and then gave up on this line. There aren't many well-made figures and they're generally pretty difficult to find at retail, at least around here.

The Black Series OT Stormtrooper has double jointed elbows and, as the pic above and the pic related demonstrates, can hold his weapons quite well. That's why I recommend them. You could go with a regular OT trooper too, although they're much harder to find in the wild.

The sculpt and casting is so good, that recasting it twice from a "potato" and losing details from that casting twice, it still looks highly detailed for a near 1:1 likeness of Ewan's Obi Wan.
