How bad are EMS shipping delays during Christmas time in japan? I ordered something from HLJ and it shipped on the 21st but hasn't moved since then. Just wondering if that is normal or if I should be concerned

It's a toss up really. Sometimes your stuff ships quickly and sometimes it gets stuck in customs for a month. I'm still waiting for a 3a figure to pass customs. It's been sitting in new York since the 18th...

I had an EMS order ship out from Amiami on the 19th, and it arrived on the 23rd.

That's because New York is the shittiest customs office.
Whenever stuff arrives at the New York one it takes forever, but Chicago is usually pretty quick at actually sending me my shit.

No. I am in Minnesota.
When I use EMS, what usually happens is;
>Package spends a day or two in Japan
>Arrives in Chicago
>Spends a day or so there
>Arrives at the Minneapolis hub
>Couple hours later, it arrives at the post office close to me
>If it arrives there early enough in the morning, it is usually out for delivery that day. If not, the next day.
EMS always arrives in about 3, sometimes 4 days.
I think the longest it ever took was, one time last year I had a package that shipped from amiami the week after Christmas, and it took 7 days or so to get to me for some reason.
But usually it takes about half that.

Blame the lazy shiftless guineas. West coast operates smoothly, even though it's going to take them 3+ years to get back to their pre-strike status. It's kind of funny that even during the port strike, I was still able to get stuff faster through LA than NY.
Fastest customs for me is San Francisco , it's practically in and out within a couple of hours .
