Movie Preview Starscream from the 2007 Live Action movie, aka Protoform Starscream.

This thing isn't just a turd, it's turd colored with red bits to denote that it's a bloody turd. It also transforms into a turd.

The shoulders are ganked due to the shoulder design and it's pretty damn tough to transform without the waist popping off.

Would have made a good Protoform Waspinator though. Simply because of how easy it is to take apart.

The Leader is quite show accurate. Presumably you don't mind the Animated style, in which case, yeah, the Leader's good.

I don't think I've ever actually tried transforming it.
>>
>>5358412
Are those Death Star Shells just as awkward as they look in that photo? Because a chunky robot Darth Vader is otherwise up my alley.
>>
>>5358620
They can be positioned out of the way. But transforming the thing is an utter pain in the ass because of them. In theory it's almost a Legends class transformation since Vader just folds in half at the pelvis, in practice lining up the shell parts is a nightmare.

It's also a bit rare of a toy to get one complete anymore, since so many parts just pop off 95% of them on eBay are missing at least one body part. But if you can get one mostly complete for $50 shipped or under(the mini figures and TIE Fighters are 100% useless to the robot) it' snot bad. It's one of the better SWTFs out there, which I know isn't saying much because most of SWTF was terrible.

As much as I'd hate to see Hasbro get any license, it'd be almost fun if they could get Nintendo and retool this into Samus.
>>

>Your worst transformers

the Encore series reissues. Literal bootleg quality. Stress marks, paint that chips off so easily it makes you think they used dollar store craft paint and stickers made of the thickest paper they could use. Crome scraped and worn fresh out of the package. Joints will loosen up quickly and they can't be tightened because what used to be screws on the G1 copies got replaced by rivets. The plastic quality also feels really cheap which probably explains factory stress marks.

No, I'd wager some of the high-quality G1 KO sets you can get on eBay are probably better than the Encore releases. These things just weren't meant to be taken out of the boxes.
>>
>>5354534
Not my copy. It's been out of the box for years and buried under other toys, but it seems to still be okay as of a couple months ago when I took it out again. Meanwhile, my Energon Sharkticon's elbow crumbled for no apparent reason.

I bought RotF Arcee at a convention a while back, knowing the reputation it has.

In spite of all the glaring flaws, I still kind of like her.

She had an odd, alien charm to her robot mode and her vehicle mode is spot on.

I've also made the unfortunate mistake of buying the deluxe Optimus Primal from Beast Machines who has 0 redeeming qualities at all. Piece of fucking junk.

The Classics Seeker mold

Hot garbage that only 35 year old neckbeards would like
>>
>>5360556
>"some sort of insult insinuating you're poor or homosexual" detected.

Seriously though, the Classics Seeker mold is solid. Like many deluxes from that era, it lacks at least one point of articulation that would have pushed it into greatness. In this case, it lacks thigh swivels. And of course, the blasters are oversized, thus preventing the iconic pointing forward pose.

Other than that, it's a good toy. The robot mode looks good & it has decent (thought not fantastic) articulation. Transformation's cool. And jet mode looks cool.

If you're a Geewun type, it's still the best and most complete representation of the Seekers. Which is sad, because it's been nearly 10 years.
>>
>>5360824
You forgot the lack of bicep swivels and the almost immobile head unless they have the cone head molding.

Oh, and the fragile tail fins.

Face it, if it wasn't used for half the 84 Decepticon cast nobody would defend that garbage
>>
>>5360833
The aesthetics are its only saving grace.
These guys look good together.
I do hope hastak would release a new version, though. In voyager size, please.
I think the deluxe size limited the toy.
In a bigger size class, we can have better articulation.
The leader class seekers aren't doing it for me.

>>5360833
Personally, I'm fine with the lack of biceps swivels. It was about on par for that era. I don't expect double jointed knees/elbows with ab crunches for TFs from that time.

The tail fins on mine are fine, perhaps you got some bum figures? But to be fair, I don't mess with mine that much these days.

It's a matter of context to me. They were not the best Transformers from that time period, but they were not the worst either. They were acceptably good with the added bonus of being the most slavishly done Seekers to this day.

>>5360846
I'd personally prefer a deluxe remake after a good movie year. Deluxes during the RotF days tended to have the full set of points of articulation.

Being deluxe would make it more affordable to get the full set. Of course, if it were made today, without a movie increasing the budget, I imagine that they'd be mighty hollow and just a tad too small.
