I suppose this is some kind of bait thread trying to force an argument between weebs vs hipsters, so, it doesn't matter what do I ask, I don't think it can be even more shittier than what currently is.
Anyway.
Honest question: why do people like her? Other than being a chrome storm trooper, I don't see anything special about her design, and her role on the new film is basically irrelevant. So I just don't see the appeal.

The decent answer people are throwing around is "the same reason why people loved Boba Fett. Useless character that barely did anything, spending no more than 5 minutes of total screen time across the whole original trilogy and got offed by a blind man not knowing what the fuck he was doing.
Yet he's one of the most popular characters in the franchise. Why? Simply because he looks badass, despite all his shortcomings. The way I see it, the same applies to Phasma. She could do fuck all in the whole series and still come on top as a fan favourite, just you watch.

Phasma did worse than doing nothing, she helped the Resistance because she was afraid of a blaster. It showed her as incredibly incompetent and pathetic. Fett at least tracked the Falcon.

I always thought he was just eyecandy too, but he was moderately competent, was involved in some combat scenes and most importantly, didn't shut down the shield to the deathstar because he was afraid for his life.

That's about it. Honestly, I can't say I'm happy with what the movie actually did with her, but I don't have it in me to accept her yet more wasted potential. Not after I had my heart set on liking her so much. She was essentially advertised a waifu-able Boba Fett, but turned out to be the new trilogy's cowardly equivalent to Darth Maul.

Except this isn't the last movie of the trilogy she's a part of, it's the first, and this time the people making it KNOW there are two more movies they have to push out, so they can afford to leave certain characters underdeveloped on purpose so they can be expanded upon in the sequels. If Episodes VIII and IX come and go and Phasma still somehow manages to be just a shiny pile of nothing that she was in VII, THEN you can talk about her wasted potential, but to do it now is more than a little premature.
Granted, after TFA, she's going to have to do some truly impressive shit to redeem herself, but after seeing what a total badass they can make a Stormtrooper be, I'm willing to give them a chance to show what they can do with her.

The 3.75 Captain Phasma is one of the few I like from the current Hasbro TFA line. If you like 3.75, get one.
Can anyone help me out? I am extremely interested in buying the Captain Phasma buildable kit thats coming out in a few months but I cant find where the hell to buy it. I never bought Japanese figures before, so any advice is appreciated.
