So I didn't really want Vortex, but needed 4 limbs for galvatronus. Went by a wal Mart tonight and amongst the protectobots and autobots I found an Off-road. Mind you I don't own any of the stunticons and I liked first aid so thought I'd go for it cause the colors are cool too.
Well wal Mart was shit on cashiers and heavy on customers tonight so the check out line was quite a process especially since they switched out cashiers halfway through the line.

A lot of people shit on the simplified and hollow toys of recent, but I understand Hasbro's reasons personally. What I am less forgiving of is the huge design oversights you seem to get with quite a few recent transformers. Like Brawl's waist, Menasor's chest, the unforgiving ratchets that limit articulation, the Dead End mold having slots that are too big to hold anything, etc. It echoes of a chinese KO. I don't mind more simplistic designs if it looks good, I actually like the majority of CW limbs, but it's these technical issues that really bother me and I'm waiting for the day GPS returns in full force.

Damn qc though seems to be getting worse though I noticed, I know the hasbro ones are usually shit compared to takara ones, but this thundercracker just feels amazing since the previous owner kept him just like this, sunstorm was good, acidstorm despite being sent loose from another country handled beautifully.
My starscream however is shit, I swear the plastic feels weaker and the fact that I have to pry his chest apart to drop the jet canopy between for robot mode unlike the others who are just slide and go annoys me.
But this set is nearly complete and no point stopping now, just need hasbroskywarp, only issue with the hasbro mp seekers is thundercracker and I can just remove the tampo prints if they piss me off too much.
BTW the head is glossy on this thundercracker, is that painted or just gloss injected plastic?

Motormaster as a solo robot is actually fine. I like his shameless blocky look. It's when he's a torso when things start to hit a snag. As a torso he has the proportions of a butch lesbian and you can't exactly lift his legs up since you'd have to move the crotch plate and that serves to make things look even weirder. I'm aware there are alternate configurations for his legs, and I usually do that when I'm displaying him. I just get the feeling they didn't put a lot of effort into that mode. And the leg configs and upgrade kits go to show that.

3. The unrevealed first wave Titans Return Deluxes are Scourge and Blurr.
4. The unrevealed first wave Titans Return Leader is Optimus Prime. His chest will look like the chest of God Ginrai (also seen on the release of Power Master Optimus Prime with Apex Bomber in the Commemorative Series).
5. There will be a Legends Scrounge based on the Generations Legends Cosmos mold. It MIGHT have a new head.
6. For the 30th anniversary of the movie, there will be a box set of Platinum Edition Rodimus Prime vs. Galvatron, but no confirmation on what molds will be in this set.
