Second for goblins
THE GREAT CHRISTMAS SPOOKY GIRL GIVEAWAY IS ON!
Make a Christmas-themed MOC and post a picture of it with a timestamp and your email in this thread between now and December 18. The poster whose picture I like best will receive a genuine mint-in-bag Spooky Girl minifig. This is open to posters worldwide. There is no restriction on image size or resolution.

>>5333080
It looks like an iguana, which I honestly don't mind it's not as good as the sensei's dragon, but still rather good and there's a plenty of nifty pieces (I dig that new pauldron). Also, the monkey's studshooter thingy is pretty clever.
>>5333038
December Challenges:
>Show us your Friends terrorist cells doing their nasty work, waging war against the Minifigures (war scene, insurgency, genocide and ect.). All in their attemp to being Lego's best and only gift for X-Mas this year.
>Create a nativity based on a theme with characters from that theme
>Make a Christmas party for people who have no business celebrating Christmas
>Santa Claus's sleigh has broken down! Can you make a fitting vehicle to replace it?
>Make a rally car for your minifig that can drift through the icy winter roads with ease
ffy again.

showering figs with these 1x1 round bricks must really hurt.
>>5333226
This got stale after the second time you've posted it. It was a fun one time joke, sure, but now you just overestimate how funny you are.

Apologies. (A little)

Does anyone know if the head piece on the commander drone is the same color as the Ultron jaw in the Hulk buster set? Anyone have pics of them together?
>>5333343
>Does anyone know if the head piece on the commander drone is the same color as the Ultron jaw in the Hulk buster set?
Yes it is.
>Anyone have pics of them together?
Related. Pardon the dust, didn't even see it until I took the photo.
any 2016 sets you're looking forward?
i find this red car interesting, mostly because of the ladder usage
>>5333038
Why am I seeing this for the first time on /tv/, was there another round of leaks I missed?
>>5333404
It was posted here once, iirc alongside the BvS batmobile.
>>5333404
Good to know that /tv/ knows its bricks, at least.
Got a link to the post you found that on?
>>5333378
Really digging the American Speed Champions. Some City stuff is really cool too.
>>5333430
buying the shit out of that hotrod
other pickup will probably get parted out though
>>5333374
Nice. Gonna have to get them both, then.
has anyone gotten that new rally car set yet? thinking about it
>>5333430
>>truck has a bedliner
holy shit
>>5333404
Wait, that's the Lego version of the riot trooper? I'm a little disappointed...
>>5333404
It's pretty slick.
Looking at it a second time, what on earth are the six black studs and stud box for? I don't see a stud shooter anywhere on it.
>>5333378
I've no idea what sets are coming.
I mean, the Nexo Knight stuff looks kinda cool.
>>5333483
Maybe something behind the set? Or something to do with the tree mechanism on the left? I have no clue either
>>5333378
All of the NEXO Knights battlepacks or whatever the minifig boosters are called
Carbon Freezing Chamber, Battle on Takkodana, all the Star Wars Battlepacks, and the UCS Hoth + Death Star, although those are both still shrouded in mystery
>>5333498
I think I've seen a shot where the tree is knocked over at the base.
Maybe they're dropped from a wall like coal or something, I can't help but notice those five other black studs on the top of the entrance.
>>5333473
Why the disappointment? The riot stormies have the same armor.
>>5333504
The riot weapon itself, the armor is fine. It's... Over-simplified, I think. Completely lacks the split end. Also, no shield...
>>5333513
Oh hey, I didn't know the weapon did that. I see your point now.
Hopefully we get a printed shield in later sets. I don't know how you could actually get the shape of that stick in minifig scale, though.
>>5333404
Was kind of expecting something like this when it came to the riot stormie.
>>5333378
>>5333473
who cares lol
>>5333473
It's got the little dome with peg (barraki eye) in black, which is only the second time it's been non-transparent, so that makes up for any shortcomings desu
>>5333540
Third, actually, it comes in flat silver in a few sets too asides from white which was around since 2011 or so. But black one is brand new, looking forward to it.
>>5333038
pic from Eurobricks.
>>5333585
Is the Golden Winged Warrior a man or woman? The Face looks mannish but it seems to have a slim waist
>>5333378
Surprisingly few. I wish Ultra Agents wasn't dead.
>order was shipped from US on 30th
>still not here
God I just want those fucking bricks.
>>5333596
like around 60% of minifigs it doesn't really matter because the features look neutral enough that you can use it either way. The torso has printed pecs pretty much 100% the same as the Spartan from series 2, though, so you can safely assume it's a dude in a corset if you want
>>5333603
what was even good about it apart from villain figs? the builds were boring, typical faux military routine
>>5333606
We don't get a lot of non-licensed, near-futuristic Lego stuff, and I liked the color scheme. Infearno Interception is one of my favorite recent sets.
>>5333605
Shipped to where? Things from mainland Europe still take around a fortnight to reach Bongistan in some cases.
>>5333612
Finland.
It's just that it generally takes just over a week for stuff to come here from States
>>5333080
the only set I will get.
Ok guys I saw preliminary catalogue.
Ninjago: Villain Brakeup, all old villains come back and fight ninja. Pythor, Ghost general, and SAMUKAI in smaller sets!
City: Gets VOLCANO in biggest set. Whole theme focus on researching magma stones and vulcaonoes. VERY COOL and my favorite- Park minifigure set with 10 minifigures and playground!
Nexo Knights: I confirm Axel in Ultimate set, the gal with flaming head gets one too!
Jester gets HUGE vulcano castle. Rest stuff are meh, but macy will be in smaller set.
Good year.
>>5333287
I really love your waifigs and their base.
>>5333585
love the farmer, needs country sets for him.
lego baby, hope there going to be more
the skunk is fun , and the queen would be great match for my king and princess
them 2016 Technic's
>>5333667
Did you see the Ronin Mech, by any chance?
>>5333708
It's weird because there was no mech. I saw dragon set, a small white tumbler, black flyer... aqnd sadly thats all i remember.
I will look at it tommorow, so just wait!
>>5333715
The set list for the summer wave from Bricket had two dragons, new version of that vehicle from the snake wave (the tumbler thing?), a mech, and some buildings iirc (one was stated to be a prison thingy with some vehicle and one has the girl). Some might be retailer exclusives though so it makes sense not all of them will be in the normal catalogue.
>>5333689
they did farm sets in the city theme
>>5333749
...like?
>>5333810
http://brickset.com/sets/theme-City/subtheme-Farm
>>5333822
they really need to revisit this theme
So I guess Cartoon Network is premiering Nexo knights tomorrow.
Why would they do this when there are no sets available yet? WHY?!
>>5333887
Because it's a good way to market it and there are only two weeks or so left until the release?
>>5333899
Literally my only response to this is:
but I want it now!
>>5333585
>dat mullet.
Any decent fleshies with wife-beaters or is it just that TMNT slob?
>>5333941
only that one, not much in the yellow department either, just that one with suspenders and blood/oil stains from PQ
Ninjago has sky pirates and there's literally a set called 'sky shark'
Between TFA, NEXO Knights, and now this, my wallet is crying.
>>5333080
i think i like senseis better, but his dragons torso/chest is absolute shit, and i cant really see the torso on this one
still looks like im going to buy it though
>nexo knights premiering tomorrow
>no one is talking about it
>this is actually the toy board so that makes sense and im gunna talk about it in the cartoon thread
casuals! the lot of you!
>>5333950

>>5333960
its a cute use of parts, and some of it is designed well
but my god that fucking ship is ugly
>>5333960
>Not wanting the superior craft
>>5333960
That + Misfortune's Keep = Incredible steampunk zepplin.
>>5333959
They remind me of the old Visionaries cartoon.
>>5333962
I feel the opposite because for some reason I love the ramshackle vaguely steampunk nature of the pirate stuff.
>>5333965
I like that one too, but like I said I have so much stuff to get the small one might be my limit. Because while I love the pirates, I don't care about the ninjas at all, so these sets are at a lower tier than the SW and especially the NEXO knights stuff.
This looks pretty cool.
Also, really glad to see ninja outfit Nya in a small set.
>>5333965
>that thing the green fucker is piloting
>its literally a backpack
>this is some sort of jetpack in the ninja world
wat
i do like this one a lot better though
>>5333971
>I feel the opposite because for some reason I love the ramshackle vaguely steampunk nature of the pirate stuff.
those are the parts i DO like, its the base, and that shitty awning i dont like. its just like they designed the most barebones ship they could, then slapped cool stuff on it
>>5333975
A jetpack is like, the least technologically advanced thing in the show. One of the ninjas is literally a robot so advanced he didn't know he was a robot for most of his life.
I kinda want the snake bike.
>>5333978
>watching toy commercials
>>5333987

>>5333959
>>5333968
>First Lego ripoff MOTU + Thundercats
>Now Lego ripoff Visionaries
Lego ripoff gi joe when?
>>5333992
Pretty much.
I hope this means some other theme will have robot cop villains too.
>>5333941
Another option is the very old shirt with surfboard or car torso with swapped out yellow hands and arms.
>>5334033
I have high hopes that someday we will see a close resemblance to this torso on a CMF.
Can we discuss capes for a minute? I have a variety now that I've noticed since getting the brainiac attacks set.
Magneto has a paper cape; then there are the classic cloth like capes on the old man in the center. And now there are new fabric for capes.
Which do you guys like? Are the new ones objectively better? I don't think they pose well.
>>5334082
I myself like the old cloth capes as it felt more realistic.
Got my hands on the BB-8 fig and I am considering sanding down the bottom because that large pertruding part annoys me. Would that possibly brake the part in any way?
>>5334092
No, but it might break it.
>>5334082
The original cloth capes and flags were made out of a material that's (at least in my case) almost as stiff now as it was when it was new. It looks cool from a few angles, but is not very easy to pose.
I really like the new CMF cloth capes because you can pinch or crease them and they won't retain it when you smooth them back out. I use them for lots of stuff, and it's easy to pose them in ways that look like they're real fabric affected by gravity.
>>5333960
uh.
anybody else seeing a pear?
>>5334102
>you can pinch or crease them and they won't retain it when you smooth them back out.
Yea, I was actually surprised when I got the brainiac attack set. New capes are dope.
I notice storm has one, when will new capes be standard??
>>5334110
shit, forgot image
I mean this kind of pear
>>5334115
I've been seeing that since the friends baloon

>>5333972
Is this the first non-licensed bigfig?
>>5334206
Depends on what you qualify as a bigfig I guess.
>>5334206
No, fantasy era Castle had troll bigfigs and there was a mamooth bigfig (albeit with a normal head) in Chima. But it's the first one with the new "standard" bigfig body type.
>>5334186
What's with the faces on the Ice Planet figs?
>>5334278

>>5334321
Too bad the friends line is shit and not cute or interesting line animu girls
>>5334343
Orient Expedition (with Yeti, Tygurah, and Jun-Chi) came out in 2003.
Hagrid and the troll came out in 2001; I would consider those the first non-Technic bigfigs, since Hagrid shares some commonality with the Jack Stone minifigs that came out the same year.
Jabba came out in 2003.
Dewback I wouldn't consider a bigfig, only a creature, and came out in 2004.
The rancor is more of a bigfig (it has arms), but actually didn't come out until 2013. Before that, if you had a Jabba's Palace set, you just had to use your imagination once you dropped Luke down the trapdoor.
Is there someplace that's catalogued every use of any larger-than-normal minifigures and creatures?
>>5334343
They were all around the same time, 2003.
First time on this board.
Can one of you guys tell me what the best place to buy these DC and Marvel minifigures individually? And are they really worth $16 each?
It seems like madness
>>5334380
Bricklink.
Buy more than minifigures, build cool stuff.
>>5334380
There's probably a Bricklink store that has both the minifig and the shield.

>>5333585
Hot damn, I hope the new king's beard can fit into all that.
>>5334417

>>5334874
Why of course! It's Old Nic's new ride for 2015! Six stud wide build and low profile, it even fits his silly little Lego hat & beard height with room to spare inside the canopy! For me that makes it a Christmas Miracle.

I've been milling about the idea of kit bashing 2-3 First Order Snowspeeder's together. Idea is to make a bigger Cargo Speeder.
Was the final wave of Ultra Agents (ship/oil rig/small jet) released outside of USA and Canada? I don't care for most of the theme but I wanted the oil rig, and even on bricklink and such the sets and parts from them seem to be rare.
>>5335066
As far as I know it was North America only.
>>5335065

Nexo Knights next wave is swamp themed?
>>5335102
Sure, I can dig it.
>>5335102
isn't wave2 of them adding more lava people anyway? the snake lava woman is still missing to my knowledge
>>5335102
Those minis look like shit
They look abit to those awful "customs" that get posted here once in a while
>>5335102
>>5335107
The summer wave is meant to have Jestro's castle and one or two more lava monster ultimate sets, and there are 3 lava monsters teased but not in sets (snake woman, girl with fire hair and the small goblin). I'd love mushroom creature mercenaries or something, though, didn't Ninjago have additional smaller baddie groups before, like the ronin in the ghost wave anyway?
>>5335102
Say what you will about ninjago, nexo nights and chima. But these themes really bring out some creative stuff.
>>5335090
it works better for mixels with large eyes because their size is halfed despites the larger legs and tail on Scorpi and chainsaw on Buzzo but they're my two favorites.
>>5335117
Does anybody really complain about Ninjago? I've thought the only complaint was that they've used those rubber dragon heads for a while and that's it. NK is mostly hated by weird orthodox castle fans.
I'm not a huge fan of Chima and especially UA, but they do have some merits too like you say. MF and PQ, not to mention Atlantis, were pretty great too. The only original theme from the last few years I found mediocre was Galaxy Squad and imo the latest Castle and Pirates are uninspired, but they pretty much just existed so that the orthodoxes don't whine as much so whatever.
>lava snek
from the same sticker book
>>5335122
Huh, so there are two of them
>>5335102
Nope, just random guys made for sticker books/comics, Ninjago had a plenty of these too but they ultimately had no impact on toys (iirc there were some sort of kappas that people got excited for and a bat samurai)
>>5333473
I'm gonna get the first order battlepack and use the first order heavy's body for the riot trooper
>>5334995
I'd like to see what someone could create out of the FO transporter and a snowspeeder or two, to be honest.
Since today is CN's massive Ninjago marathon + special wave before the Nexo Knights premiere, does anyone have a torrent or MEGA or the like for Ninjago?

No, it's airing on CN today at 7:30 or so.
Between Nexo Knights, Ninjago, the Ghostbusters Firehouse and [nospoilers]Bionicle[/nospoilers] this coming year is going to present some seriously tough choices. I don't think I'll have nearly enough money to afford them all.

Rock monster would make a good Clayface for a Batman MOC.

There a couple of white torsos with strange prints. Just give him jellow or flesh arms. That should do the trick.
Speaking of curt russel. Is there a fleshy head that would work for a snake(with eye patch).
>>5335318
yeah, it's a fun little set.
also i see dollar is worth almost as much as euro... maybe i should reopen the store....

Exquisite
choo choo motherfuckas!
why doesn't lego make a circular brick that's 6 studs across? its either 4 or 8
Anybody got news on that "mind racer" sublime that's supposed to come out next year? There's a Bane vs Robin and one with Catwoman in it. I haven't seen any pics.
>>5335641
I meant miny racer

That cab could use improvements, theres' definitely ways to get front-facing windows, if not in the exact same arrangement.
>>5334206
I thought the Rock Monster from Rock Raiders was already a sort of bigfig.
>>5334308
Were they not called maxifigs?
>>5335641
Comes out in april, 3 DC and 3 Marvel sets.
DC are:
>Bane and Robin, Bane has a drill
>Batman and Catwoman
>Flash and Captain Cold, Cold has a snowplow
Marvel:
>Hulk and Ultron (Hulk's not a bigfig)
>Spider-Man and Green Goblin (apparently goblin glider and a plane instead of cars)
>Captain America and Red Skull
No photos yet.
>>5335664
Another Ultron so soon? I hope it's a comic design. And what's with Bane always having a drill?
>>5334389
China is very good in copying, although most of the time not in quality.
>>5335663
>Were they not called maxifigs?
They were indeed.
>>5335674
Yeah, pretty much, the exception is Oxford (but it's Korean, not Chinese) but it's closer to MB due to having own niche and own themes, instead of just using Lego's set designs or even ones made by fans, like a lot of those superhero minifig bootlegers do (those are also often among the bootlegs of the lowest quality, alongside bonkle bootlegs)
Gotta admit the fact that there are bootlegs of those horrifying (and frankly pretty bad) customs from the new FF movie is hilarious though.
>>5335670
My logic is this: Bane breaks things, but since Harley Quinn already does the hammer thing, a big industrial drill is the next best thing.
>>5335664
Fml i just bought a goblin for my glider

What the satanic fuck am I looking at
>>5335708
What you need to do is raise the back end of it up so there is more room for Windows and so the minifig can actually look through them
>>5335711
10/10 would race cycles with
