Playing with some options for the arm of the haunted grimoire.
I had to modify the arm a lot less than I thought I would to get LEDs through it.
I have an order of this and that gunpla stuff, but the tracking says that it has been been sitting at JFK airport since the 29th of last month with the message "Arrival at inward office of exchange".

Question. How do you all use plastic cement in terms of fixing broken things, not seam welding. I have a peg that broke in half, removing the balljoint needed to connect the limb. in terms of how long we should let it sit after putting cement on both parts, and how much time we should apply force.
I have alligator clips for help if needed. If cement doesn't work I have super glue, but I would prefer to try cementing it just for the experience.

Was talking with a friend about gunpla when the following topic came up, and now I'm interested in hearing what you guys think.

For example, pic related. The color scheme obviously draws from Bayformers Optimus Prime, but it's also clear that design-wise it's a recolor and detailed-up Astray. There aren't tyres hanging off the thighs or gas tanks on the back.
I suppose the question can also be, if one is going to be scratchbuilding anyway, do you think they should aim for "as similar as possible to X" or "reminds people of X"?
