Any /toy/ related mistakes?
My first real figure-related import purchase was SRC Gurren Lagann from a local anime shop. I spent like $89 on it.
With that said, the figure was so good I didn't really feel too ripped off.
Local anime store had a pit shelf warming at 70$ for months after smash 4 came out. Passed on it because not a fan of the character. Not much left to say.

I bought it for half price ($300), I didn't think it'd go any lower, and now I know my lesson.
I have no plans to sell mine and he'll stay to remind me that A I have truly weird, shit taste and B to NEVER buy year of the --- or platinum shit until it hits the clearance bin.
I'm just baffled, the platinum edition 2 pack of evasion mode optimus and grimlock were on clearance for $150 last year...

MMC Cynicus.
He's actually really nice and I still have fun with him. I put like 10 layers of future to remedy the joints and have no idea why they all went floppy. He was among the first batch that was released and I ordered him directly from planetsteelexpress. It wasn't enough to deter me from getting Anarchus but hopefully he doesn't have the same issue.

When I first started collecting, I pretty much bought exclusively from Ebay and didnt really check around to other sites to do any price checking.
I probably wasted a couple hundred dollars on over priced revoltechs.

I think my biggest /toy/ related mistake was posting here.
Never buying the IM2 War Machine when it came out and buying FOC Bruticus.
I'm never getting a War Machine, fucking SHF going past the hundred dollars, but at least every FOC headsculpt is great, the only thing holding me from selling that thing before the week ended.
