Bought an Imperial V-Wing Pilot fig to pilot it, since I don't like the one they used, and thinking of getting a load of Imperial Gunners (found a 10 for $44 plus p&p on Ebay- is that a good price?) to man the rest. I was over the moon when I found out about Sabine with a helmet and that Astromech, though.
Generally asked just so I don't get buyer's remorse to be honest. Anyone have any ideas on how I could get it so that the speeder can be attached? It seems to heavy to just be able to stick onto the already present studs.
So, I revisited a build I made for a monthly challenge (May, I think it was?) because I thought it could be improved with a few minor adjustments.
My Post-Apoc Pickup now features rust on the sides to break up the grey and make it more visually interesting, as well as a tow hook on the front.
Now I just need the Futuron monorail MISB and I can die happy.

I made another Group 5 inspired race car. This probably will not be the final product as I am not necessarily proud of the way it currently looks on the front. I wanted to make something that looks like a cross between set 1496 and a Zakspeed Capri. What do you guys think of it?

It's really handsome car, probably the best looking of all Speed Champions. It's fun build and some parts are cool.

It must be because of all the corporate logos. Nowadays - excluding minifigs - Lego never prints unless there is potential for print reuse, or if it's super necessary to have it be a print (ie. Chima Legend Beasts need their face prints).
The logos make it hard to reuse those designs in an unlicensed setting, so they have to be stickers.

They've stopped making hard to reuse printed pieces around 2004 or so, when the company was in bad shape. You can see the trend slowly reversing though, Ninjago has a plenty of printed pieces that would've been stickers a few years ago (for example, all those windsows), and there's a lot of printed small tiles in multiple themes lately. Modulars seem to be getting own hard to reuse printed pieces too but that's a special case. Your argument does apply to licensed themes, though.
Someone mentioned the fact that apparently adults were whining about rare part colors only existing as printed pieces might have factored into this (sic), but I find it unlikely.

There are also a few exceptions to the reusability 'rule'. 2x2 round tiles can't have stickers when they're made to shoot out of tight launchers, joint balls will never have stickers stay on them, etc.
But I think it definitely is meant to apply mostly to licensed themes, with exceptions made for the specialty Architecture and Ideas theme.

A plenty of control screens in SW, City and Batman at the time were stickers. There were some in PM and Space Police too, but those were the last themes before the most modern era that happened with Atlantis and Ninjago. Nowadays there's a lot of 1x1 printed tiles in Friends and some in City and Ninjago as well as licensed themes, not to mention eyes in Mixels; Chima and Hero Factory had a plenty too. Together with Friends and Elves using a lot of printed pieces, it's safe to assume stickers are largely for licensed stuff nowadays. City seemingly uses them too because in some cases they want multiple regional variants iirc? Definitely was the only reason why police sets had them for a long while.

No leaked set or minifig pics, but semi detailed set info and rosters. The Batman vs Superman sets are due out on Jan 1st (announced at a toyfair last year), with the movie releasing in march. There is speculation of a a post movie release set featuring Doomsday, based on reports of one for civil war but it seems unlikely. An unreliable source said the reason they only partially revealed the batmobile originally was because Lego was asked to pull a Doomsday bigfig and had to redesign last minute(substituting the forklift and goons for some ruins and doomsday). The source isn't good but I have never seen half of a set at a "reveal" before.

Part of the film is set in Maz's castle which is basically a hideout for shit loads of different space pirates. JJ really went balls out for all the different designs of loads of them so there will be shitloads of figs and such!

None of the designs are very wild, even in comparision to the crew from Jabba's palace. There are some nice ones but you're overestimating Jar Jar Abrams I think. Also, not even the set allegedly based on the damn castle has any of them in.
