Mattel just filed trademarks for Street Sharks, Dino Riders and Mad Max. Could they be making a comeback?

Are they combining the 3 franchises?
>The Street Sharks of Mad Max Riding Dinosaurs.

for fucks sake, he didn't want ANYONE to have the rights for the toys for forever, and he's giving it to fucking mattel first? We won't get anything good for mad max toys till he dies at this rate.
When the ttp passes the 3rd party stuff will get confiscated and burned too. I fucking hate mattel

They could just be trying to keep their IP from falling into public domain.

>>5317049
>no Tony Jay

>>5316866
>Mighty Max
Please, please Mattel. I shittalk you a lot, but please do right by this, don't do the same thing you did with the Secret Saturdays playsets where you provided awful, underdeveloped sets for prices that were ridiculous for what you were offering..
>>5317009
Why would they give a shit when the series are dead and making them no money?
>>5317845
You'd be amazed how petty a corporation can be when it comes to ensuring that no one else can "play with their toys" so to speak.
>>5317845
Hello, I'm Disney, perhaps you've heard of me?
>>5318045
This, considering trademarks are really cheap. Even cheaper when you consider how much money a company like Mattel has.
>>5316768
Kek'd
I just hope to god that Dino Riders ain't gonna be a shit toy line
>Mattel
Oh well.
>>5318045
Just like harmony gold with the macross designs.
>>5319018
Except to maintain a trademark, you also have to show that you are using it. You can't just squat on one and do nothing.
Which is why you sometimes see some random one-off shit being made. It's the company throwing money away to keep the trademark.

Now we wait for MEGAS XLR.
We'll probably just get comic books of something.
This doesn't mean anything is happening though does it? I'll believe it till I see it.
Mighty Max? Awesome, hope they don't ruin it but would love to see mini playsets make a huge comeback. Those Star Wars ones are lackluster.
Dino Riders? Could be awesome, I'd be more itnerested in a potential TV show about it.
Street Sharks? I loved them as a kid but I think they were a product of their time, not really interested.
I could have sworn that there was a Dino Riders movie in the works.

On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, a U.S. federal trademark registration number 86835532 was filed for INCREDIBLE CRASH DUMMIES by MATTEL, INC. with the description TOYS, GAMES AND PLAYTHINGS.

Like the Fantastic Four movie from the 90s.
>>5324011
there was a short lived Incredible Crash Test Dummies revival about ten years ago.
>>5324011
>Crash Dummies
I wonder how they'll make it even SAFER.
