No. The eyes are meant to be put in the empty slot behind that. The Vahki's fuckhuge transparent brain stalks had the eyes in them, and roodaka uses trans orange exoforce robot hands as eyes.
Krekka's the exception to this patern, and he looks like shit because of it.

This is the product of some old school Slizer/Roboriders parts, what little CCBS stuff I have in my dorm, and a strong desire to not do my homework.

Yeah, the bio sucks. I had gotten a lot of old Technic/Slizer pieces and tried making a torso out of it. All things it came out okay, but due to the use of the Mata head, he's only got a swivel neck. Hadn't figured out how to add a ball jointed head without using the foot on the chest and giving him a hunchback.

Here's a close up of the back (and incidental hammer storage thanks to the Roboriders "torso"). You can see some of the compromises I made here thanks to my limited piece count - his swivel head and travesty of a hip assembly, for example.

The 2016 sets have a torso that is exactly as tall the Inika torso, except

The little touch of color from the spines really does add a lot.
Try looking at the thumbnail rather than the enlarged picture and notice where your eye tends to land; odds are, it's gonna be on the spiny one.
A huge mistake a lot of people make when posting mocs and such is posting these big fuckwalloping pictures. Massive-ass pictures spread shit out way too much, making it way harder to get an overall impression of the build. Posting medium-size pics is a much better way to go.

My reeasoning being is taht the spines draw the eye to the calf which is actually pretty big in comparison to the thigh and that makes the build look oddly proportioned. But you don't really notice unless you really look on the build without the spines because your eye isn't instantly drawn to it.

Ekimu the Mask Maker better look badass.
I hope he actually looks like an upscaled version of his 2015 form, and not a Tahu with the Mask of Creation slapped on.
I wonder if he wears the Mask of Creation we have now or maybe an updated version that is compatible with the Creature heads. I certainly wouldn't mind a new mask, though I wouldn't be keen on yet another mask with the crystal motif on its top.

If it's just another MoCr, they probably just blend some trans-blue on it, or cut away the prongs entirely IF Ekimu has to be compatible with creatures or beasts. But I actually doubt that. If they go as far as to bring Ekimu back as a Toa, they really should go and make him be capable of bitch-slapping all other Toa with his giant dick, without some pussy-ass creatures.

Well as it turns out I actually don't have enough spines for both shins and all of the fingers on the hands. Seeing as how the fingers are gonna get priority, for the time being I'll have to go without the spines on the shins til I either order more or decide to leave them off for good. They're a surefire way to get the point across that a bionicle is a fembot. It's not like people will notice at a glance that your customized toy has wide hips/narrow shoulders or any other obscure (and often poorly executed) details.
Imo, the only other thing that gets the message across is posing. A good pose is a powerful visual tool.
Apart from that, I like tits on mocs because the people who are vocal about their distaste are most often being obnoxious about it and deserve to be dismayed.
Unless you call them impractical because robots have no use for gender characteristics, in which case I agree. But if they hadn't then the kids would feel more alienated and the product wouldn't sell as well.
Here's an INCREDIBLY basic Ekimu moc. It uses a custom torso which, while not very secure, allows for more posability in the shoulders. At any rate, I hope the official one look a lot better than mine.

Like the Breakout chest? Sadly no. However there's a gunmetal Chima chest with gold and blue deco that's currently covering it. Kopaka's chest plate works the best, tho - it's base color is gold and it's deco is blue.
