I can't decide where I'm going with this. Probably going to slap a cargo box on the back and call it a day.

>all-black prison pod for captured SP1 minifigs
I just made a new speeder bike.
Thoughts?
>>5305686
I like this idea!
>>5305700
And I like this bike, nice controls. Binoculars piece looks stressed though.

Junker/10
Would race around abandoned factory world with. It'd look better in front of a neutral background, though.
Found this today. Gotta say it's amazing the way they made the sweep work by pulling the engines. Man lego has come a far way
>>5305762
>>5305703
Love the front but I dislike the back, namely the pipes to binocular part.
>>5305682
a zoid?
>>5305728
Hey, that was probably the best idea in the Hero Factory line...
>>5305774
And it did almost as well as minifig-scale Bonkle.
Lego just can't do it right. Which is a shame, some of the mechs looked cool, but the kaijus were pretty lackluster
>>5305762
>>5305766

Hero Factory is superior for delivering minifigs, something bonklw will never do
<< this shit is bonkle tier retardation you adore, fuck off back to your bzp general
>>5305779
From my dark age, but yeah I imagine it works similar. The fact that they did it on $10 scale is impressive
>>5305796
Now, I'm interested.
>>5305817
Agents sets from 2008/2009

>Hero Factory is superior for delivering minifigs, something bonklw will never do
Yeah, at least the last Hero Factory theme had articulated Minifigs instead of static statuettes.
>>5305778
They just needed more variety in the creature faces. I got pic related because it looked the most fitting for Pacific Rim, but all of them re-used the same face.
After almost 1 month of waiting, I finally got the last part to finish upgrading my moc of Marina Liteyears.
>>5305935
Old and busted version for comparison.
Shake, shake!
Another snowspeeder? The Republic Interceptor at least sort of makes sense since the current one is Anakin's yellow one and the new one is Obi-Wan's red one, but what's the point of another snowspeeder so soon?
>>5305978
maybe it's a Rebels or TFA version?
>>5305978
Maybe they just sell really well.
>>5305796
>>5305814
>>5305978
>>5305987
Well I mean I was dumb enough to buy one, unsure if I regret it or not. The minifigs are nice but like a week after I bought it I decided I wanted to set up a walker base for 2 AT-DP's and an AT-AT, so now I'm figuring out how I'd be able to add that and my Imperial Troop Transport to it as well.

There are Snowspeeders with orange and with grey markings. The grey markings are for Lukes Snowspeeder and his was nearly the only one that ever got releases. Orange Snowspeeders were only released in 1999, 2004 and in the Wampa Cave set so a new one for army building would be nice, and actually useful if they could bother updating the design for once but I don´t care anymore, after 5 of the exact same models I finally sorted out all the pieces I need to copy that MOC the Aussie A-Wing Anon posted lately.
Or maybe it will be a substantial redesign in light grey for once.
After I wasted a day to copy the Lego Batman 3 1966 Batmobile design and finally built it from my parts it just took 6 months for the rumor of the Batcave to come up.

Eh, I could accept the Creature heads, they have nice functionally after all.
It's the gimpy flipper claw arms that irritate me.

i havent actually decided yet (hence all the uncoloured bits still to do) , I started out building it for the thread challenge last month, but lack ideas,(not sure why I put a crane on it either)

>>5305935
oh man, so many memories! you should make some of those props from the game to shake!

My only gripe about this model is that it doesn't walk around like a strandbeest.
>>5306530
Holy shit, that's fucking incredible
>>5306516
Nah, don't want to spend that much on a single piece. Hope I can make something with the Knight's Kingdom helmets, those were the pieces which started me on this tangent. That, and I've always wanted a red revolver.
Curious though how that German comes across this stuff. I remember someone who said they got some unreleased color bionicle parts from some German store, maybe it was this guy.
>>5306530
that's some fucking quality
Newfag here, I've seen you guys talking about Bricklink (I've never used it myself) and being able to do a parts list or something to get all the parts for a model without buying the set itself.
How would I do that to just get the parts for the Emerald Night's coach (from set 10194) and The Horizon Express's double coach? (from set 10233)
>>5306540
Might be the seller knows someone who works at a Lego store/ park. They produce bulk quantities of parts in unreleased colors for displays and stuff, but logistics means that they produce more parts than what they actually use, so the rest gets warehoused. Somebody pays somebody else to grab a few pocketfuls of unreleased colors and a month later they show up on cracklink.
I'm kind of kicking myself for not getting a red revolver while I was at it. Maybe I'll get that blue cat and a red gun for my birthday.

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=10194-1
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=10233-1
These are the full inventories; I don't know how you would break them down by sub-model unless you got LDD, imported the file for that model, then had it output a parts list.
>>5306544
>search for set in catalog
>in catalog entry page, select 'part out' under 'add to wishlist'
>probably want to make a wishlist for that set specifically
later you can go to your to wanted>store to search by store to see who has the most of the things you need by each or all of your wanted lists
>>5306559
The part list in the back of the instructions uses different numbers than the actual part numbers printed on the pieces. Bricklink uses the printed part numbers.
Welcome to the Lego General, anon!

That is one of my favorite shots you've done, LQ. The lighting and composition are just top-notch.
I wish I had a pool of radioactive waste to mack on a cutie in.

It sells like shit, that's for sure
why don't they put minifigs in it again? it's not like it'd be cheaper than getting battlepacks and the old license preventing them from selling them alone is seemingly gone already and ultimately the armybuilder villains are the main reason why kids buy the Ninjago and Chima magazines
>>5306950
That fucking Snowspeeder was in last year's calender.
And it wasn't even that good build.
I gotta figure out how to export Bricklink Wanted lists.
>>5307034
>using mixel sets to build actual mixels
Kill yourself.
>>5306295
Now how can anyone be sure they are actually lego? Whats to stop someone from mass producing these and just claiming they are? Because for how "rare" they claim they are, there sure seems to be quite a few of them popping up.
>>5307077
Why are you so hostile? Mixing to build other Mixels is the main selling point of the line.
>>5306205
It's not bad. I was going to try this for the challenge, but I looked at some other people's mocs and realised a lotus esprit is even worse than a delorean in lego.

I did that in September.

Followup question to this:
I've been looking around and found a few nice custom coaches and stuff I'm interested in, but no plans.
http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/142701
That for example, how do you guys do it? Is there an instruction list somewhere or is it just a matter of eyeballing the picture and pulling the knowledge of all the parts used from the database in your head, or something?
http://imgur.com/a/gxdH2
Pics of the Takodana and resistance transport sets!
What pieces would you recommend to make a Val'kyr from WoW? Pic related
>>5307193
Custom means exactly that anon. If you wanted that guy's caboose you'd have to ask him for it. I reverse engineer stuff in LDD sometimes to learn better building skills and to have fun, but of course that isn't an actual model. You can kind of process LDD builds into real builds through some good work and software, but it's up to you to build what you'd like.
>>5306679
If you rearranged a few and made him stand up, that could easily pass for a vertical STAP type thing- the way he's on it looks uncomfortable.
Great speeder, regardless.
>>5307202
why are it's feet so big
Just got my first Star Wars set in over a decade, and I'm quite impressed in how much better this is than what I had as a kid. Anyone have recs on some more Hoth themed sets?
>>5307205
>but it's up to you to build what you'd like.
What I'd like is one thing, what I have a single clue on how to build is entirely another.
>>5307219
There's Hoth-base coming next year, and for everything else http://brickset.com/sets/tag-Hoth
>>5307219
I don't personally own it, but I can't recommend newest AT-AT enough.
>>5307219
unfortunately, other than the AT-AT, all the other hoth sets are currently retired. Can't even get a AT-ST right now.
>>5307233
If you don't know how to build stuff, experiment. Fool around and spend some time with your parts. If you're looking to improve your skills then you have to practice. I already mentioned reverse engineering, and that's done by eye and guesswork.
The caboose doesn't seem like that hard of a job, it's pretty straightforward looking.
>>5307202
Minifigure or brick figure?
I almost forgot these two characters were in the same LDD file. Weird.
>>5307274

>>5307219
why are all the SW figs so over-designed now?
>>5307283
You'll probably want what chima anon suggested, maybe some white minifig hands and a transparent or blank white minifig head to help out.
>>5307104
I asked the same question six months ago while looking at a $500 red tree piece. If it is fake, the seller has discovered a way to manufacture bootlegs that are indistinguishable from genuine pieces because no one else has ever complained.

I would say its more of a "most buyers have full on reality displacement field" syndrome.
These are the same types of people that when you tell them the knock off apple charging cables on deal extreme are the SAME EXACT ONES that are made for apple, same parts, same build quality, hell, made in the same factory (most of them even have the engraved apple logo on them and even have the printed on copyright fine print!), they just blow you off like "nah man, that could never happen!", when in reality, yes, thats exactly what happens.
This isnt some guy producing a couple hundred in his garage with an injection molding machine he bought second hand, its more than likely one of the factories in one of the shitier parts of the world (they wouldnt happen to have any chinese factories, would they? Even just one?) is cutting back alley deals and making parts and selling them third party.
But hey, im sure ill just get replies of "hur dur tinfoil conspiracies!".

Lego produces a lot of pieces in colors that aren't intended for sale, and all the extra unused parts are just warehoused for infinity. Most of these rare-color sellers are in Germany, which makes sense because they make a lot of custom displays there.

...I mean, REALLY, a B-WING TRANSPORT?!
>>5307453
Why do people keep saying that? That promo shot from Empire with him, two Snowtroopers and some street lamps in the background confirmed that Kylo looks like his actor.
>>5307498
You can also see, plain as day, in the trailer when Finn faces him with lukes saber he has his helmet off (you can see his hair whipping around). I was personally hoping they didnt unmask him, but this just tells me he will be another Maul, kick ass bad guy criminally underused and then killed off in the fist movie by "We wuz jedi and sheeeeit".
>>5307510
His design sucks though. It's like a toned down Vader, while Maul, Grievous and even some of the CW villains at least looked unique.
>>5307497
I think Leia is in so few scenes that they had either this or a control room to choose from if they wanted to release a minifigure of her in a set.

Apparently next year has another Snowspeeder, which has me going WTF due to how awesome your pic related is.
Well I said that I'd posts pics of my Firehouse when I got back home for Thanksgiving, so here we go. First thing you'll notice is that the building is on a 32x32 base instead of a 32x48 one like the official set. This was mainly due to me wanting the set on a smaller base to fit my shelf along with it fitting to the Modular standard better. Oh yeah the building is modular and doesn't fold out like the official set does.
Ignore the base for now, I just build my Modulars on a 2-brick tall base so that I can use it with my custom roads.
The first major problem I missed when designing it was making sure the Ecto-1 could even fit. I went with the traditional roll-up shutters since I couldn't make a good looking brick door, but that kinda proved to be a fruitless effort.
>>5307272
I hope they're gearing up to do a posable AT-ST like this. Still trying to track down instructions and/or a bricklist for this
https://ideas.lego.com/projects/112665
The building's also just as long as the Ecto-1, so even if it could fit through the door it's still not gonna fit completely.
>>5308003
Are those rails for streetcars? Nice.
I was working on floors, but with limited floorspace compromises had to be made. No beds, no baths, just a kitchen on the second floor and a would-be workshop on the third.
The one thing my version does that the official one won't is have a closed-off alleyway. When the firehouse does come out I'm gonna scrap the one I have and use parts from it to make a slightly better official set, I'll probably use the rest of the parts to make a small apartment.
>>5308014
Yep, one of the incentives for making the brick road was to combine road and rail, but I'm probably gonna scrap the latter since it'll be impossible to do curves in my budget.
>>5307727
>A B-Wing crossed with a train car? And where ARE the B-wings and A-wings in this time period? They were supposed to be brand new when RotJ takes place.
Not anymore.
According to Rebel's Canon, The A-wing was their FIRST Star Fighter, the B-wing has just been brought in as a Prototype, I'm assuming the same will be done with the X-wing eventually, yet STILL no sign of the Y-wing, which is STILL a Clone Wars Relic.

>Apparently there's a new A-Wing already in coming year, despite having one in 2013. Maybe it'll have some sort of reference to TFA?

I got Grievous the other week and I love him to pieces. Big poseable CIS scum.
Got my Target minifigure cube in the mail today. Surprised to see that Lightning Lad has an alt face. Sorry for the shitty pic, it's gold printing and my phone didn't really pick up the details in my shitty kitchen lighting.
Also didn't take a pic but he has a Legion tattoo on his arm.
Overall the cube figures are very nice, printing seems crisper than normal. The base plate tooling probably needs to be refreshed, the minifig foot holes don't have much friction on the pegs and don't stick as well.
>>5307835
I hope you dont mind, but im ripping of that figure design from you, that and doing the same for the Yve figure from the exosuit. Definite brick-fu material there!

It's not that I'm trying to keep the build to myself, I'd love to see others build stuff based on my ideas. Making instructions is an extra step of the process that takes time, so I don't want to bother unless I'm explicitly asked for some.

Would anyone else like to see a massive buildable zoo made my lego? Or a wave of them where you can attach each cage etc.. to make it into a full sized zoo with different animals? I just find it interesting they haven't done something like that yet

You know, fire fighting, police, EMT, etc.
A pimps personal mech would be kind of neat though, too.

If I were you I'd have tried to make a SNOT based head to try and add details like the eyebrows, a distinguished jawline, etc. and I'm a lady fig guy. If you keep going at the scale you're at though it should by no means be a problem and if anything things like exposed studs and the like could help you get the look you're going for.

those plastic coats look akward and at lest some of it feels redunant considering we have official hazmat suits, orange caps and semi-realistic revolvers...
>>5308698
This guy gets it.
I only ever build grey tanks and jets and whine that Lego has no realistic military theme yet. Fuckers forgot they should be here for us and not for kids.
