They're retail surprisingly enough. If you have a season pass they come out to about 17 something (I don't remember exactly).
And yeah. Aside from the one Phasma, they had a bunch of Troopers, Finns (of course), some Guavian Enforcers, and few of those Constable guys (what's his face)

Well, on the bright side, I'm at least close to Hasbro's HQ. I hear that sometimes they open up their private store to the public briefly, maybe I should look into that. That certainly won't have any scalpers, so if that's true, maybe I can get a Phasma finally.

Pretty much all I ever see is Finn and Zuvio. Occasionally I have seen Chewbacca and Poe, but I have only seen a trooper, Rey, and Kylo once, and I immediately bought them. Never seen a Phasma in a store, and if I didn't happen to be looking at my amazon list at just the right moment to get it at retail price, I would not have gotten one. Fuck paying $50 for one of these figures.

What stood out to me is that they've got the last two 3.75" Black Series waves (before everything switched over to Force Awakens/Walmart exclusive) on sale for 60 bucks each. Six figures in each wave, no duplicates, and shipping is just $5 for one case of six, $5.50 if you get both cases. Most people won't have to pay tax, either.
Considering these figures have an MSRP of 12.99, being able to get them for about 10 bucks shipped is pretty solid. Picked up the wave 2 set myself!

because you can buy three stormtroopers (most of the time) for the price of ONE Japanese version, and they aren't a character that needs a super dynamic pose.
Sure, so far, Japan makes better droids, but that's only because the ONLY 6" droid done (so far, I hope) is IG-88, who is a statue in the movies, so, even though he HAS double jointed knees, it's kinda pointless for any human-type dynamic poses.
now truly droid-like ones, make him look broken, which is because of the design.
if SHF does a better run of jedi masters (and not the humans!) AND more droids, sure, they get to be the superior prequel stuff, but if Hasbro would do more jedi masters and droids, then we'd have a fair comparison.
so far, the black jedi luke is the only one truly comparable, (because vader is not one to be jumping and shit like he did as Anakin.) and the two lukes done are fairly evenly matched, one has nicer joints for more poses, one has a better Hamill face and hair.

Shit. I'm actually really displeased, you can tell Hasbro's cost cutting is even in these figures. Kylo's head is a solid piece with the hood and half-cape bit, so you can't turn it for shit really or get much of a tilt, the elbows are okay, wrists are the up and down hinge, so that's okay, his knees...make no sense. I thought they were backwards at first, but they're cut in a way that they don't bend very much cause the sculpt starts to press into the thigh sculpt too much... really weird and awkward.
The trooper...fuck me. Head is a ball joint, works fine! Torso is a floppy ball joint. Floppy as fuck. Can barely keep him upright from the chest up. Hands have the clone trooper setup with one up and down wrist and one side to side hinge, but his hands won't hold the blaster very well...also his feet seem to be fucked so he won't stand up straight very well either. Oh, also he has the same problem as the 6" trooper at the elbows. The sculpt interferes with the hinge so he can't even two hand hold his weapon without looking awkward.
Leia sucks. She's a statue with elbows. Oh well.
For this being the "collector line" I think it shows Hasbro doesn't care about what they put out anymore. These just feel like such a step down. I got these cause I thought it'd be neat to keep the collection going in some manner, but Jesus Christ.

Or maybe, as seen in the past, they're trying to maintain it just enough to keep collectors on standby until they roll out the new 3 3/4 series. It's a cycle that repeats itself every few years, and has been going on for a while.
They know the 3 3/4 line will sell, so why dole out the good stuff now when there is so much SW hype that they can sell junk at a premium?

I'm more hoping that because of new designs some corners had to be cut due to short production time with new designs. They likely were unable to fine tune new release items and still get everything out in time. I was at their NYCC panel this year and asked them about this, specifically in regards to the plastic quality on the Resistance X Wing. They kind of gave a non-answer and said (to paraphrase) that there will be future X Wing releases.
They also said, in regards to the 3 3/4 Black Walmart exclusives, that they would love to see a wider distribution of them, but that this is a test run to gauge interest.
