Original Effect is my favorite figure maker. So I'm going to post the shit out of their stuff. The first few shots will be the stuff that I own. (you can tell by the shitty photo quality...) Then some real promo shots and art work.
First one is Sunny

Candy. Not the biggest fan of her design but I like the series enough to collect them as they come out.

Bummed that they are not all the same size, the larger ones are from earlier series with less articulate bodies. Also there were complaints that they are to large to be 1/6. So I'm glad they switched over to a new standard body, it just sucks that they don't look right posed together.

Which Sam head do you like better?
So Candy was their 2nd to last release. It came in a huge box with a custom plastic case and an art book with promo art, concept art, and photos of a model dressed up as Candy. I was looking forward to see what came in the next box and was disappointed when Sunny was bare bones and the figure wasn't even dressed. I'd gladly pay extra for all the bells and whistle like the last box.

What would you say the quality of the older OE figures is? I don't really like the new teenie body very much.

Yah, that's the exact line I was thinking of. I really like the outfits but I'm not a fan of their stylized head sculpts. It looks like OE was copying their over all style with Sam with the head and dirty clothing.
Here's a picture of Harp Next to a ThreeA figure I found on google. I find the older models to be huge, thick, sickly colored figures with awkward joints. The new ones seem to have a ton more detail with their attire.
It seems like each one of my older ones used a different body.

Huh I wonder which body sam uses? The very first ones they made tend to have terrible joints and fall apart easily.
Really I'm only interested in the sam figure for my display but I'm hesitating bease I'm afraid the quality won't be as good as threeA

Sam is really sturdy, she doesn't use those straight peg joints like the new tiny bodies. You have to tug at these, they actually pop in and out.
I have no idea if/when this figure is coming out but I want it.

Cool fig, but I fucked up and broke the clips on the backpack and belt. Fixed them with some staples, but still not a fun thing to do with a $150+ figure.
Also, how are you attaching the mask? The whole thing with the wire makes the whole thing feel really ghetto.

My OE K.I. Sam arrived today and I though I'd post my thoughts on it if anyone's interested. First off the box and packaging on the figure was very nice. There was a pretty strong chemical oder when I first opened the box but It was from the foam inserts and not the figure itself.
One thing that surprised me was the weight of Sam. This figure is quite heavy. Compared to my Human ThreeA figs she feels very solid. I can safely say I'm a fan of the OE reborn body, the joints are all tight but still move smoothly and they are strong enough to hold up Sam's gigantic mechanical arm. Sam also comes with a bunch of replacement joints incase any break which is a huge plus.
The one place I'd say is a little dissapointing is the quality of the soft goods. The weathering on them isn't particularly convincing and my figures clothes have some loose stiching in places. I worry about how long the pleather parts of her outfit will hold up.
If there's one thing I wish this figure had is a few more alternate hands. I'd have loved to swap her hand out for a closed fist.
Overall I think Sam was worth the $125 shipped I paid for her and I'm thinking of picking up a few more of OE's older releases.

Have faces that lack character compared to the earlier ones. Sunny and sophia have lifeless sex doll faces to me.
Deterioration has a nice creepy face imo.

Well, this was pretty fucking weird. I'm the dude with the hi-ridine that came broken and tried contacting OE from a month ago, and I've now finally gotten a message back. Guess they shut down for a month or something? Jesus. Glad they are getting back to me, but I wonder what happened to them?

If I'm correct, the reborn girls, in this case Reborn Harp (1.0), Reborn Clarinet (2.0) and Reborn Lillith/Louis (3.0) are just reissues of these characters, but without the outfits and accessories, jus a basic bikini outfit and hand parts and using the newest body, as Harp and Clarinet used the old body
