Takara Chromia is a lot worse. The lipstick applications don't match the shape of the mouth.
>>5298329
I agree Chromia has the worst deco of the Takara fembots.
>>5298329
I thought so too just from pictures but in-hand it looks great. Overall the colors are nicer, no ocean of two-tone blues. She has an Autobot badge in robot mode. The blue lightpiping works and looks better; Hasbro Chromia has the dead-eyes.
>>5298237
Chromia sure has big tits in this picture.
>>5298453
She inherited Prime Arcee's molded breasts. Too bad it wasn't the First Edition's articulated boobs.
>>5298460
I wish they used the FE mold as the base. I can see the logic behind keeping them the same size, but FE and Blackarachina are about the same height so it would give them a nice tall titty amazoness in each group.
He can't come soon enough...
In the meantime, I'm amazed at how well CW Sunstreaker looks, especially in vehicle mode. The "foot/hand = engine block" is inspired.
From the other thread:
TRU actually came through and they got to me in less than 2 business days technically. Ordered them when I saw the TRU Canada sale on Friday and now they're here. There's two nubs on his roof that plug into two little slots on the bottom of the gun. The thumb has a tab that folds down and pegs into the spoiler.

Question: I'm not sure if get CW Bruticus or wait for United Warriors Bruticus. Because I want the grey chest plate, I didn't really care much 'bout Blast-Off. But the color scheme is another thing, I want a Bruticus that reminds me the G1 toy, so grey chestplate.
I'm not sure if Takara choose for Brown chestplate, like the cartoon, or not.

>>5299066
Nice contrast in colors and a better toy result.
Think about it, what kind of grey will they use for the head?
Mp-11 starscream grey, would you want the head in all that?
Too much silver paint, if we're lucky takara might do all silver, or that mp-11 grey with a painted mouthpiece.
I'm more hopeful of them giving the takara one the same colors personally

>>5299079

>wahhh I got no money to pay for it and I will say people over paid because I couldn't afford it myself just like that G1 Fort Max reissue 2 years ago.
Before you bitch that it's nothing but nostalgia, just remember it's not that cheap to reissue something especially something that has electronics nowadays. G1 reissue of Devastator is actually as much as that Trypticon and Devastator only does 1/3 of what Trypti does. You're in a hobby where it attracts new and old collectors so even if you don't really think that anybody would pay $200 for a reissue, the demand is there cause of how mainstream it is.
You can thank Obama and the rising price of oil for that. No oil = no plastic and the chinks are getting smart and asking more money to work at their factories. If you follow the economy enough it's really easy to understand that at the most it's the retailers that are making the most since they do have to mark that up almost 100% to cover their overhead and they get it for sometimes cheaper from the wholesaler. I know this cause I was thinking of getting into the toy selling business so I had to research all of this.
>>5299429

>>5299577
>that's why reissues were cheaper
the TRU reissues of the Autobot cars from 10 years ago, when prices were still low, were $30 apiece. Starscream was $35. For some reason that can only be counted as an odd fluke, Powermaster Prime, Prime & Magnus were only $50. PMOP was a steal compared to the cars.
The Platinum line is Hasbro knowing their fans are dumb enough to pay it, and of course you can buy most of those sets from eBay sellers in China for much less than what KMart is asking.

Wreck-Gar wasn't moved. He was always supposed to come out with the Dky Lynx wave.
Okay I sanded down Tracks' hood peg with low grit sand paper very lightly and rubbed a bar of soap on it and now his legs can separate with more ease.
Also second time I transformed him I figured out more stuff. This pleases me.

>>5299986
>are these swank dank poses a /toy/ thing?
The "keep on truckin'" pose has become a way to show off the balance/articulation of a figure, it's mostly a Transformers thing. It originated with CW Powerglide, who is particularly good at it, hence the post has been relabeled as "keep on glidin'".

>I wonder when they'll ever get around to MP gestalts.
It has been surmised that it will never happen, since a combiner will likely require more compromise than an MP usually allows. Although there is that third party making a pretty great set of Constructicons, so far.
>>5300000
Hah.
>>5300019
>that third party
>a pretty great set
Not like they haven't been doing this almost from the start.
I still feel like there's room for a higher quality version of something that has similar proportions to the recent HasTak one. While I'm not big on it, I recognize it's probably the most cartoon-like, and that's what most people want.
I still think given time, there will be MP gestalts. The only thing that will stop it will be a death of the toy market or the global economy. The toy market's been dying, and the global economy's been predicted to die for a while now so it's probably just a matter of time. So it's really just a race to see what great junk we can make before it all goes to shit and all this stuff becomes piles of refined regret.
>>5300044
We could be given mp characters from gestalts but gestalts made from them would be risky, mp's are meant to be as whole as possible, cartoon accurate with a reasonably involved transformation.
To add connector ports to a modular design that, even if exclusive to each other and not interchangeable, would still have to hold up its own weight?
We'll be looking at massively over priced, unstable abominations that may have a few compromises.
Right now I want mp PROPER triple changers, if they can do this we'll be one step closer, until then I don't see anything of the sort happening
>>5299915
>>5299922
These are pretty helpful, ty.
>>5300044
>Not like they haven't been doing this almost from the start.
They haven't. Most third party shit used to be over-engineered, flimsy, awkward stuff with no cohesive design, and too much greebling/panel lines. People only said it was good because they were often, quite literally, the only way to get certain characters as modern figures, but there was a ton of compromise for the stupidly-high price points. 3P stuff has only gotten better as of late since so many companies now strive to match the MP aesthetic, which forces them to restrain themselves a bit, which is good.
>>5300115
You sound bitter, it seems you have never owned a 3p item yet. While some 3p do have a lot of greeble actually I don't even care they have too much greebles, I like my robots with a lot of shit to them cause they're bots. I also like the movie designs. You can go kill yourself now.

Is the poll for the fan voted Titan up yet? I gotta shill for Hasbro and vote for Trypticon. Make it look like it got enough votes to win and totally wan't the plan to the Trypticon, Omega, Scorponok in 2017,2018,2019 in the first place.
>>5300242
Wait another hour. Voting starts 1300 EST.
>>5299939
>Upcoming line focusing on headmaster gimmick
>Scorponok was a Headmaster originally and Omega was in Energon
They're not gonna make Trypticon a headmaster are they?
>>5300253
Of course they are. Trypticon with his pilot/support man Wipe-out
>>5300253
Notice how Hasbro haven't made a repaint of FOC Grimlock yet? That's right. Here's your Trypticon.
>>5300253
Trypticon, Scorponok or whoever wins, wouldn't come until 2017.
>>5300253
I don't think it has to have anything to do with the headmaster line. This titan won't be out at the same period.
Although if they make a Trypticon a headmaster, would it be humanoid or a different beast mode?
Voyager T-Rex that turns into a head for a Titan T-Rex?
Or some sort guy that turns into a head? Who could they homage? Beast Wars Megs?
>>5300258
There's at least two repaints of FOC Grimlock.
Recently got the KO oversized MP10 and fuck is it awesome.
It's about the same size as MP-1 but it poses and balances better.
>mfw no one shuts up about Trypticon
>mfw it looks like the most popular choice on facebook
>mfw it's going to win the poll.
>>5300253
Titan class Snapdragon retool please.
>>5300206
That's not scorponok. That's tryhard.
>>5300263
>implying that MP-10 does anything better than MP-01
>wanting your toys to pose
Get a lot of this fucking pleb.
>>5300270
Nah, but a voyager/leader would be cool. We're getting an apeface right? Or is going to be just a little head. Maybe a 3P company can do bodies for them if Hasbro isn't, but I think the ideas area pretty cool homages for Hasbro to do in wave 2 or 3.
>>5300272
Lol yeah.
I heard there's a downsized voyager-scale coming soon complete with trailer.
Here's hoping they don't fuck up the parts.
Speaking of which, didn't a third party release a downsized version of MP-1?
Anyone here got one of those?
Don't forget to vote!
>>5300206
honestly his design is kinda close to WFC Trypticon's.
i'll give them points for Metrotitan but it's still 3rd party shit so pass.
>>5300253
If Trypticon wins, I don't see him being a headmaster. Scorponok has to be one. Omega I can take either way.
>>5300270
That'd be kind of a waste.
>>5300268
i'll be happy when he's fucking annouced as the winner, let's not get too cocky.
>>5300253
Nah, Titan Devastator has shown that they don't have to make the Titan compatible with the gimmick if the character didn't have it.
I presume they'll just fit him with Titan Master pegs and transparent canopies. He'd most likely include a Legends class Full-Tilt and a Brunt made out of those Titan Master vehicles.
>>5300268
Calm down, the facebook polls don't count the chinese votes and who knows how they'll rig it.
Set up ya fake accounts and spam, this is going to be a tough battle, but no matter who wins...
Our wallets will lose.
Think they'll ever have a presidential election as a direct election on Facebook.
Maybe if the government tried hard enough to give me the illusion of my vote counting I'd do it.

> All these Trypfags
Vote Omega Supreme!
Can't wait for the stomp and chomp tripticon

>>5300293
Stahp, think of the children.
Metrplex, Devastator, Fort Max
Trypticon, Omega Supreme, Scorponok
2014, 2015, 2016
2017, 2018, 2019
I know anons are posting FOC art, but there's no chance that he'll be based off of that is there?
Would be cool, but I don't want to get my hopes up.
Would also be cool if he got a base and spaceship mode. Transformed into something like the Nemesis.
>>5300300
I doubt it, I guess some of us like foc tryps.
I just want my metroplex to have a sparing partner, infact this vote will determin if I even get fort max or not seeing how he's a retool
>>5300304
Same, All I really hope for Trypticon is that he's decently articulated, and can see eye to eye with Metroplex.
Even that I feel might be asking to much because he's be like 2 feet tall but 3 feet long or something, unless they really made him 80's style Dinotastic.
>>5300304
I'm hoping to get a con exclusive (or Takara) Brave Max this year, then Trypticon next year.
>>5300304
Honestly I think Fort Max will be more satisfying than Metroplex to actually mess with. The Headmaster gimmick means that they took some extra steps to optimize interaction between Fortress and the little guys.
Nothing like Mini-Con powerlinx probably, but certainly more fun shit than Metroplex.
>>5300307
Just to meet metroplex head on is all I could ask for.
>>5300308
>con exclusive
Seeing as I'm not where cons usually are I'd be better off buying 5 hasbro fort max's.
Damn exchange rates.
>>5300309
All I'd have is the head gimmick unless the transformation states somehow change.
And from what I've seen I'm not too impressed, though its too early yet.
>>5300313
Well I hope it's not a con exclusive but I doubt we'd get a Brave repaint at retail. Maybe Takara would do it.
>>5300282
>Speaking of which, didn't a third party release a downsized version of MP-1?
>Anyone here got one of those?
I had one on pre-order, and one month before re-issue, they got slapped with a cease and desist and refunded me. I had wanted it to go with my classics deluxe figure collection, which I was just starting up. Turned out this was a blessing in disguise, since MP-10 was soon announced. After that, MPs have really taken off, and deluxe size and quality has gone to shit, so I just stopped collecting most retail stuff.
>>5299915
Alright I updated it with Scattorshot and Victorion. I have no idea how to add in the G2 repaints And does anyone care about the club repaints?
>>5299922
If I remember, I'll do this.
>>5298237
>Best 'con girl will never get appreciation ever again
>>5300326
I do, add the botcon and g2 stuff using the categories we have now. There will be some more head only retools, plus brawl's retool, and some repaints from G2, what's so confusing?
#Trypticon
>>5300332
She made cameos in the little comics Sakamoto drew.
>>5300332
Statistically most characters made up randomly are one and done for notable appearances.
>>5300334
I have an idea of how to do it, but I don't think it'll look good.
>>5300326
The subscription figures can be found here. You can probs grab the Botcon stuff from somewhere on here too

I'd like a new mold of her with a more integrated boat mode(i.e. not just tacked onto her back)
>>5300293
Polls are open, folks! Choose wisely.
