I don't know much about micronauts, But I would love to see how they handle these new ones.
Especially if they are connected to transformers.

Yes and no. Soundwave et al were part of a Microman sub line called Microchange. I don't know much about the fiction but they mostly did not interact with the regular Microman stuff and definitely were not part of Micronauts.
FUNFACT: Microman is a 3 3/4 downsizing of Tamara's popular 12" line Henshin Cyborg, which began by being a Japanese import/bastardization of...GI Joe. So in a weird way GI Joe is partially responsible for Transformers.
