So how about that Judge Dredd figure? Anyone got theirs yet?
>>5272970
Yeup. I really like it. Im not the biggest Dredd fan (never read the comics but loved the most recent movie). However I love the Batman Mezco put out. So I bought Dredd and im not disappointed. Its awesome how is accessories attach to his belt. And his shoulder pads are great - I really love the magnetized placement and they are more gold than the promo pictures let on. My only complaint is that his fake leather suit is baggy around the crotch. It may just be mine and its really not visible. Its just strange that theres not much sculpt underneath when handling him. But thats such a minor gripe, which shows how great he is.
Anyone else having this problem?

I'm honestly more interested in the Lawmaker figures, i'm a sucker for 1/12 motorcycles. Does anyone know if they'll be available separately?
>>5273086
There'll be a black version available as a standalone, apparently.
>>5273086
>Lawmaker
It's Lawmaster. His pistol is the Lawgiver. There was also a Lawrod, but that went obsolete.
>>5273102
Lawmaster, yes, that's the one i meant. I was wondering why it wasn't marked as a misspelling when i made my last post.
>>5273090
Awesome, that sounds perfect. Honestly the most exposure i've had to Judge Dredd was the /tg/ of it, so i honestly don't know the character deep enough to warrant buying him as an accessory to the bike that i want, even if he would be a pretty neat looking one.
If they do a generic Judge though then i'd be all over that, but that'll never happen.
Mine still has not hit the online store I ordered it from. I'm not liking the high collar from the few pics I've seen so far.

Has anyone else ended up liking the look of this version the best?
>Fabric suit
>Thinner body
>Face painted to look younger
>Old-school bubble helmet
>Eagle Publishing colours
>Rad Cloak
>Law Rod
Probably still going to pick up the retail version but I've gone from absolutely hating to absolutely loving the PX version.
>>5273140
>gold elbow and knee pads
I'm not a fan of that look
I like the all green armor
>>5273140
if the suit was black with gold elbows/knee it would have looked cool
Man it's like you have to buy multiples to get the perfect look.
>>5273123
m8, Judge Dredd is a pretty great series. You should give it a read. Especially Blockmania & The Apocalypse War. Origins is a good starting point, it's a recent story, but it tells you how Dredd/Rico/Fargo all came about.
>>5273156
>not starting from the beginning
>>5273152
It does match the Cam Kennedy Vendetta In Gotham look though...
>>5273159
blue is too bright for me
But this is totally based on personal preference and I don't find it that great.
>>5273156
Yeah, i learned alot of the lore from /tg/, but i've been meaning to get around to the comics for ages.
Someday i'll finally get a chance to read them.
>>5273158
Origins main bulk of story takes place when Dredd is a Cadet
>>5273188
Don't really see how that affects the story lines. You miss out on some great stories if you skin the beginning
>>5273192
Wasn't saying skip the early stuff. Just saying Origins is good for knowing the backstory of Dredd/Rico
Trencher 1:12 colllective when
>>5273203
also Superpatriot
>invincible will never get figures
I cannot wait
>>5274121
>>5274125
>>5274121
>>5274128
damn...
why didn't they sculpt the hair...
Also the face sculpt is okay I guess
>>5273178
Just buy some of the Complete Case Files.
Hell, torrent them, they're there on TPB.
>>5273158
Whenever I start a new series, the hardest decision I have is starting by release date (Like I did with Star Trek) or in-universe chronology (Like I did with Horatio Hornlower). Which is better for Dredd?
>>5274161
The in universe dredd uses our time so a year in real time is a year in dredd universe.
So dredd is 66 years old in the recent releases
Also there are ton of interesting plot lines you skip when you don't start from the beginning
>>5274161
Both are pretty much the same, Dredd stories take place in a linear fashion and every year that passes IRL is a year passed in comic.
There are a couple stories that focus on past events in universe.
I would just start by release date, since you will get a better understanding of the world and characters for when you do hit those few.
>>5274128
>>5274143
can't believe I'm complaining about this but
>weak jawline
>eyes too close
>brows not thick/dark enough
>lips too puffy
>hair too barbie
I totally want it, but might hope for some 3rd party to do a headsculpt
>>5274246
I think you're being a bit nitpicky/seeing things, but to each their own.
I do have to agree with earlier anon though that sculpted hair might have been a better option, though that makes me wonder if you're actually supposed to put the helmet directly onto the head rather than doing a head swap.
Either way if I can find a 3rd party head with more toyetic hair then I'd be using that for the unhelmeted face. Hell, thinking about it I wouldn't mind just using a 3rd party head to make the figure a generic judge.
>>5273140
> fabric suit
And the black one isn't?
>>5274935
It's a flexible synthetic leather of some description. The look is more in line with how Ezquerra draws Dredd nowadays, with the textured black leather one-piece
>>5274972
Difficult to say. Batman was pretty unimpeded by his fabric suit.
>>5274156
Do those start at issue one or is it a "best of" situation
>>5275185
Like the name says Complete Case Files
>>5273207
Goddamn. Bookmarked!
>>5275411
>Bookmarked!
I think you meant saved as you saved the image.
>>5274246
>Wardaddy head
Do you have any more information on this?
>>5274161
Release order is almost always best order.
That's the way with Dredd.
