i'm just saying. this is no better than stores selling christmas items now or houses putting up their christmas lights now. it's barely a week into november. there's already enough christmas oversaturation in real life, let alone it being on a website about malaysian tapdancing
guarentee that this thread will be used up by the time christmas comes around--hell, by the time december even comes around. then what edition will it be, new years edition a month before? i mean why not, right? that's pretty much what happened here.
It could've easily been dubbed 'winter edition' since the OP picture has nothing to do with christmas anyway.
but whatever. that's just one guy's opnion. the thread will go on either way. photo general: christmas edition, let's roll with it.

Scarlet Spider was a 90s character, a clone of Spider-man in a too long arc when he became not the clone but was the clone yet wasn't the clone but ended up really being the clone.
While the story sucked, the design was pretty cool and remained a fan-favorite. I don't really pay attention to modern Marvel comics, so I don't think Scarlet Spider is back (another clone of Spider-Man did become a Scarlet Spider a few years ago, but he had a different costume).
>>5268688
He's a clone of spider man, from the 90's when everything was extr33me.

A lot of the shots above (not sure about the snow ones) are of the BS Troopers. Their articulation isn't the absolute best but fore the price I think they're well worth it. Plus, not paying too much means I'm far more willing to take them outside to take shots.

i started using different backdrops because
>people on the internet saying it sucked
>details getting drowned out by the dark
>photos being too dark
i tried using blue, red and finally stuck with grey. and details dont get washed out. black backdrops can be nice when done right but not all the time. if the toy is black or any other dark color it will blend in with it.

>>5275379
Yeah I was just being a dick, my bad.
I just want to say, i'm seriously taking all of this into consideration. However, just as a heads up, I'm not serious about photography. The pictures are just a product of having so many toys. I don't really care about improving the quality or composition of my photos, as you can tell by my camera. I just like to picture them in gritty, dark environments a la Frank Miller comics and a black background helps set that tone.
>>5275393

>I'm not serious about photography. The pictures are just a product of having so many toys. I don't really care about improving the quality or composition of my photos
1- Why post them then? You obviously want some sort of recognition or praise for your work.
2- If you don't care, why get your tits in a twist when people offer critiques/advice on how to improve? Believe it or not, people want to like your pix, but when you throw a butch-fit, and cry like a little girl when you claim "you don't care", you just come off as an insecure little douche.
>>5275327

>>5275319

>>5275425
That's actually your camera. You need to read up on white balance.
>>5275678
>Why post them then?
I post them because I'm proud of them. I think the shots look cool. For my nonexistent knowledge of photography, combined with the shitty 5 megapixel point-and-click digital camera I use, and the hour and a half I get to shoot at 2 in the morning, they don't look half bad compared to some pictures in here where people actually go outside to shoot in nice environments, or with DSLRs, or killer lighting set ups. At least to me. I don't mean to come off as 'everybody is wrong, I don't care, don't help me', I really do appreciate all the constructive criticism. I'm just saying, if I wanted to go outside, I'd find to go outside. If i wanted a better camera or lighting to take better shots with, I'd buy a better camera or lighting to take shots with. This is just a passing interest that I pretty much only pencil into my schedule when I should really be sleeping.
>why get your tits in a twist
But I just said I was seriously taking all this into consideration
>but you went to the trouble to do this.
You're absolutely right. That was just me being a dick. I'm sorry.
>I've seen several people tell you the exact same thing in every thread you've posted in
I beg to differ, but this isn't an argument worth going through the archives for.
>>5275683
Yeah I kind of botched the white balance on those pictures, so it was kind of a bad example, but from the bottom picture you can see that they produce two different kinds (or at least hues) of light. Pic related is an example of using the brighter light. It's something I wouldn't be able to light this well with the direct light.
>>5275725
>I'd find to go outside
find time to go outside
>>5275683

the quality you get out of your pics is amazing for a low budget cam. i admit that alot of your pics seem very similar to me, but that could be just because transformers just isn't my thing and they look alike to me.
anyways, i'm glad we have a small community in these photo threads that keeps this alive, its cool to see all these different styles here.
