Anbody else takes toys with them? I like having them close to me even if i cant do much with them at work etc
>>
I too carry around a psp case full of figs
>>
I did until I was around 12. It was like a security blanket sort of thing, I had to have a toy with me when I went anywhere.

But around 12 I decided I was too old for that shit so I stopped.
>>
>>5265443

I keep a few at my work desk and I very rarely take something with me when I travel, though often because I just got it and I am going to be bored in an empty hotel room anyway.

I am horrible about making impulse purchases when bored on travel.
>>
>>5265471
Also I should clarify, it was the security blanket part I was too old for. I'm not trying to say you should stop taking your toys with you places because you're too old, you do you.
>>
>>5265443

I keep a Lego minifig in my butt at all times.
>>
>>5265443
I keep a Zaku Sniper kit I built on my desk at work because it looks fucking cool and everyone here keeps useless kitsch on their desks anyway so nobody bats an eye at my 'neat looking robot'.

My Yui Nendoroid lives in my bag and goes wherever I do. She mainly pops out for Instagram pics and dessert.
>>
>>5265443
I would never keep a figure like Kamen Riders that have antenna in a case like that. I would put the head in its own tiny box and put tissue paper in it to keep it from bouncing around in it.

Anyways, now I have a RevolMini Black Hole in my backpack for no apparent reason. I guess to show it to a friend who might be interested in action figures.

I do carry more toys on me when I travel, like Bakugan or some tiny TF. Just in case I got nothing better to do.

"No" : Yeah, that's creepy

I dont really do.
I dont play with them, so i dont see the point of bringing them around.
>>
I keep Superior Spidey in my car just in case I see something I like I need to check scale compatibility. I don't care if I look weird as shit bringing my own toys to the doll house aisle.

Yup

Mainly for toy photos. GI Joes used to be my main subject but lately I've been focusing on Figmas and Figuarts. I should go back to Joes. They're easier to carry and I don't really care that much if they get damaged.

Actually I haven't been doing out door photos as much lately. Gotta get back into it.
>>
>>5265474
Same here. Also another good reason to take figs around with you.
>>
>>5265443
I usually use a glasses case for smaller figures, of if I'm bringing lots of accessories. Sometimes for 6" figures I carry them in a backpack, in a smaller pocket, inside a clean sock, lol.

I carry Glyos around with me often. Crayboth are small enough to have in your pocket and not even notice them. Traveler sized bodied figures are good pocket size too, even though they're a bit larger. Good for photo ops, and fun at other times too. When I moved across the country I had my Pheyden sitting on the dash, or in the little door pocket, like he was in a large mothership and sleeping in a cryo-pod.

I'd like to carry my Re-Ment Pose Skeleton around with me more often, but I feel like he'd break in my pocket. I was thinking about trying to modify some sort of small plastic hinged hard case, and adding foam to the inside, so the figure would be gently smushed in between the foam layers, and wouldn't be able to slider or bang around. I was thinking a bar soap plastic hard case, like for travel, but it'd be way too thick to pocket probably...

The yellow one is a HEAT Viper and the red one is a Night Viper, both from the TRU two packs last year.
>>
>>5265917
The small knife is from Punisher, and the medium knife is from Drax. Good eye on the DP sword!
>>
>>5265925
It would still slide and bang around in there though. Every glasses case I've seen has a bunch of open space, and then the walls are just lined with some fuzzy crap. I'm talking like that memory foam stuff in gun cases and Warhammer miniatures army carrying cases.
>>
>>5265953

Call me crazy but i feel that unless you were doing some seriously rigorous activity, like doing jumping jacks or playing football, the skele should be fine.

Failing that, just put paper towel in the case or something, creating a cheap faux place holder

When I was about 12 or 14 or something I used to keep this little mini-transformer car and a guide dogs puppy in my pencil case.

You can probably guess I was swimming in pussy.

One day on the way out of arts class the teacher was checking pencil cases for some bullshit, intrusive reason, then pulled them out in front of everybody, which included the girl I liked.

A little bit of me died that day.
>>
>>5265443
Yep, I keep things with me, what it is depends on my mood. I don't really care what people think, most of my friends get a certain enjoyment out of it anyway that I always have something on me. They always take a certain interest in what I have, so at least my friends don't see it as odd.

It helps me with anxieties and stress of my classes. Just the other day I had a presentation to give, and while my other classmates were presenting, I was fiddling with my Kylo Ren figure under my desk(naturally I won't let anyone see me doing this), easing my nerves about my own presentation. (Though mind you, it was the presentation material I was concerned about, I have no fear of public speaking.)

TF Armada hit my 6th grade class like a sack of bricks, there wasn't a boy in that class who didn't have something transformable in his backpack. The image of the class jock pulling a leader class Megatron out of his backpack like it was a Playboy still sticks with me. I had a handful of Deluxes with Demolisher being my absolute fav.

I'm amazed that you were still allowed to bring toys to school in the 00s.
When i was in grade school in the 80s, they were already prohibiting stuff like that to be brought in.

Ten years ago, in my area at least, schools were already talking about not letting kids take home any school books, thus reducing the need for backpacks making it harder to smuggle shit in.
>>
>>5268823
Eh, we weren't allowed to in my school actually, hence why we had to smuggle the damn things in. Supposedly some kids got into some ridiculous brawl over a holographic Charizard and since then everything was banned.
>>
i'm too insecure about toys as my hobby to people actually see me having toys in public.

Only when I'm traveling for a few days, but have gotten a third RD Eva Unit-03 and extra RD Space Leo for bringing with me; though the actual third figure for the former I've yet to have sent over just yet...

Tends to be Unit-03 is the one I'll bring along lately though.

Sadly it's just small time traveling to cons really, do wanna have Unit-03 posed near monuments sometime when I get the chance!

Yeah really. I remember a story where some kid got suspended for eating a pop-tart and "it looked like a gun". As for me, someone who worked im the school was mad at me for playing with a D-20 on a lunchtable, BY MYSELF.

Our school banned pokemon cards completely because of all the thefts and accusations flying left and right. A side effect of the ban was that digimon cards became popular.

They never outright banned toys in general but it wasn't a good idea to take big ones there. We did have a small group for a time where we were building legos together making crazy stuff during recess.

hah, wouldn't have worked at all ten years ago with homework and other things like that. However with how schools lately are starting to utilize cheap schoolwork laptops/tablets, they could probably pull it off now.
>>
I only take toys out if I am planning to take pictures of them. Not a lot of people know I collect toys and I prefer it that way.
>>
Used to take some toy with me to school every day when I was a kid. Kept it in my backpack the whole day long, sometimes I touched it, but was afraid to take it out so other kids don't steal it or break it. Also it was strictly forbidden to take toys to school, if a teacher saw it, they took it from you. I guess I just enjoyed the rush I got from breaking the rule every day.
