To be honest apart from the figs and accessories I never found it particularly appealing, I feel like both RR/PM and the two versions of Arctic we had so far did the mining and polar theme respectively much, much better. It's definitely ages ahead of most other 90s space like Robo-Force and UFO, not to mention the pseudo-space underwater themes form the same period, but nothing to write home about.

What the fuck

Do they adapt the price to average wage in every country? They've always been 10 PLN (~3 euro, a tiny bit less than a CMF) in Poland apart from the Elves one, which seems like an ok price for the Friends and Ninjago ones (SW magazine is shit and I never paid attention to Chima). Weird to hear it's so pricey elsewhere.

I don't suppose you'd be able to share the LDD file or the instruction file, would you? When all the parts are the same colour, they kinda blend together so it's hard to make some out. Alternatively, you could recolour some of them to be clashing colours and then take another screencap, so it'd be obvious what other parts were.

Anyway, thanks for mentioning mediafire, it was a good opportunity to fix it up a bit. Had to rush to do the first pass before work, checking it just now I realized I missed a few crucial aspects. So except for a couple parts that I couldn't find in LDD this seems pretty complete.

I thought it would be an unstable mess so I added a few bar supports internally, less likely to fall apart at the blink of an eye now.

>>
>>5261687
What's the tragedy here? The little yeti looks cute and I'd get one given the opportunity (I'd swap the legs for dark tan ones though), the thing on the left, not so much.

Really, they messed up by going with wolves over chameleons and then with the ice/fire unified theme making the tribes even less distinguishable. I like most of the recent "story" themes but Chima really didn't do the trick to me, most of the fun factions would've worked better if they were used as villains for individual other themes (crows and spiders especially, crocs and gorillas were decent too). Personally I think going for more cartoony aesthetic for the straight up furry figs, more in line with the blindbag animal suits, could've helped.

So....

I was looking at the short/kid legs on bricklink because I need some sets of WHITE ones.

Lego has NEVER made them in fucking WHITE? PLAIN ASS WHITE?

Are there any good third party versions in white? And I honestly dont care if they are those chinky ones that actually move, or the lego style ones that are one piece, I just need some in white.
>>
>>5261764
you sound quite agitated man, this might impact your blood pressure
>>
>>5261771
It just boggles my mind sometimes when certain pieces in a normal color dont exist officially. I mean, seriously, I can get them in like 4 different versions of purple, but not plain boring old white?
>>
>>5261780
White minifig parts are used much less commonly than you'd think, actually, I'm not really surprised. What do you want to use them for? You can always use a plain 1x2 brick instead if you want a dress/robes/whatever, if your search for a bootleg won't bring anything (I'm not an expert of them but unless there's some Marvel/DC character that would use them in white I'm afraid you won't find much)

It's true that there's a unholy amount of short legs in different shades of purple and light blue - it's a combined fault of those two often being replaced by new shades and being the to-go colors for female minifigs quite often.
>>
>>5261764
This reminds me on my quest for trans-purple studs, and found nothing.

Leaked pics of Bonkle are promising, but I'm not expecting anything just yet.
>>
>>5261783
I wanted to make some storm trooper "trainees" (got the idea from whatever the star wars rebels characters name is, his minifig has a helmet that is almost spot on for a storm troopers).

I found some through a company called "Brick Fortress", the movable kind. I saw in here, a few threads ago, someone saying those type of legs generally break really easily though (which is apparently why lego themselves wont make them movable, not enough plastic for a good joint), so im not too sure about them yet.
>>
>>5261788
Trans purple cheese slopes would be nice, too...

To be fair trans purple is relatively new color, though, and we only got trans neon green cheese slopes this year.

>>

Yeah, it's more the fact that minifig torsos are considered one part, ie including hands and arms. So if you detach any of those and use them it's illegal even tough you aren't really stressing anything.
>>
>>5261864
Since when? Is removing their heads an illegal connection too since in the 90s torsos and heads were packaged connected...? I don't get the point in calling anything but stressing the parts to the point of breaking "illegal connection", otherwise we might as well call using official stickers heresy.
>>
>>5261868

Illegal connections are ones that lego don't allow in their official builds. I don't care what you think an illegal connection is, if you think its anything other than what i just said you're wrong.

Set designer Jamie Berard (you may know him from his work on the Modular Buildings) did actually put together a presentation/guide on what LEGO considers an 'illegal' connection:
http://bramlambrecht.com/tmp/jamieberard-brickstress-bf06.pdf

It's a few years old, but it covers pretty much all of the stressing connections in the existing parts library.

>>

This is like the shittiest mindset. I get that it's cheaper, but as a collector you don't just buy for what the fig looks like, you buy it because it's LEGO.

It's dumb but buying bootlegs is just inconceivable to me. You'll always know that one fig on your shelf is just a shitty knockoff.

But hey, whatever floats your boat. I get that if people are strapped for cash but really want to display something they can go with the bootlegs. Mileage may vary though.

Then why are you asking here whether you should get it or not? By your own admission you think it's stupid, and based on what you're saying I think if you can cut costs it's fine.

Also, not sure why you put "collectors" in quotes considering it's a legitimate thing that a ton of AFOL do. LEGO is designed to be collectible.

Also Revan is a cool fig so whatever you do, enjoy it.

Never watched the Chima show but this white raven guy does look cool.

Weren't most of the Ninjago side characters just reuses of figs form other themes? That's what I got out of the episode I've seen once, Agents figures, some Orient Expedition fella, the Russian samurai who has a figure and one or two that seemed like made from scratch.

I think he talks about the other color variant of this shark, without the metal jaw, that was used in two sets in 2008 or so (the pirate ship and something from the prievous Agents)

The oil rig is a burgerland exclusive if I'm not mistaken, Yurop didn't get the last wave of UA (this, the robo-professor set and the ship with electric bad guy).

Where do you live? I'm almost sure that I've seen them here in France too, but I don't have much interest in the theme beyond the bad guys so I've skipped them

The agents and their vehicles look so damn bland, like the mocs of someone who whines Lego lacks a realistic military theme
>>
>>5262257

on one hand I'm kind of sad it flopped, it had cool villains, and on the other hand..yeah, that.
>>
>>5262266
It didn't really flop, it looked like a theme that'll get a single wave only and yet here we are with 3. This means by some miracle it performed better than Pharaoh Quest, Monster Fighters and all those single wave space themes, which is pretty impressive for what's essentially a field test for the Nexo Knights code gimmick with some cool villain figs and not much more.

Making the agents look more like MH good guys (or hell, even MH bad guys, like a pseudo-BPRD) and more colors on their vehicles would solve all the problems.
>>
>>5262270
>It didn't really flop, it looked like a theme that'll get a single wave only and yet here we are with 3.
