Do people actually think this is good? Do people really do this on purpose?

This is the kind of shit that happens in the Glyos fandom makes me mad. This kind of garbage "custom" work, especially on a highly-sought-after figure like the first Stryker Locks.

On top of that, this dipshit took a figure handpainted by one of the most creative toy makers around, Mori Katsura, globbed paint on it, made it look like a literal turd, and then wrapped it in pieces of an old cumrag.

I hate shit like this.

Cool, but I'd say take closer shots, or zoom and crop your images. It's nice when the subject is really close and visible. Also, making your subject off center helps a lot. Sometimes if it's directly in the center of the photo it doesn't look as good. Research a bit about "the rule of thirds" in photography.

Mark's stuff usually shows up in his store for at least a few weeks. the way Exclusives should work
>>
>>5239865
What fucking exclusives wet dream are you in? Exclusives shouldn't last a week or two. They wouldn't be exclusives then. Pretty sure godbeast's mushifest and designercon exclusives will be gone fast. Probably 4 of the 5 new ones will sellout, with the metallic red sticking around a bit longer since that is a cross company builder.
>>
>>5239865
You say it like he's ordering significantly more or some shit, while in fact just no one buys his stuff because it has very limited appeal or use in the glyos community. You're buying a lot of extra(read: useless) toy for what is currently nothing more than an accessory pack of a lizard head, tail, and hands. I'll never understand why certain companies go with glyos for their stuff.

Looks like you have no idea wtf your talking about clownshoe. Mwotr's primary audience isn't Glyos collectors. Mwotr has had plenty of sellouts. These figures are popular with mini figure, muscle, and wrestling toy collectors. Speaking with Mark at a con this year, he said, "the gator was Glyos jointed primarily to make a mini wrestling figure able to pose and play more. The bit of Glyos building with Armorvor and kabutomushi was an added bonus."

>>
>>5240455
Looks like you're the retard here fucko, because if you opened your fucking eyes you'd see that you actually agreed with everything I said:

>primary audience isn't glyos collectors
"very limited appeal or use in the glyos community"

>the bit of Glyos building with Armorvor and KB was an added bonus
"currently nothing more than an accessory pack"

>These figures are popular with mini figure, muscle, and wrestling toy collectors
"I'll never understand why certain companies go with glyos for their stuff"

Getting toys made at the glyos factory and making them glyos compatible adds a not insignificant extra cost to toys that, if made anywhere else, would be cheaper. So going with a factory and toyline just to give one of your figures arms is not only baffling from the consumer end of things, but also the business side of things. You can joint a figure anytime you like, but making it glyos compatible for the lawls is stupid. People the figures might actually appeal to don't give a shit about glyos, and people that give a shit about glyos don't want to buy 3 minifigures and a gator in a leotard just to get a couple of hands and a lizard face.

NEXT!!!!!
>>
>>5240531
First, I'm sorry you still live in your parents' basement.

Facts:
mwotr sell well (sell outs, regular new stock, new prototypes, 4 new production figures this year and probably 3-4 again next year).

Many of the supporters and collectors of mwotr are also glyos collectors, just not you. Which is ok, because you don't buy shit from any of the glyos companies anyway (because your parents won't give you money for toys since your 35 years old and living in their basement).

Your too simple minded to build with the gator (including it's parts) and see it only as an accessory pack. That doesn't make you a genius, it makes you a moron.

Just because you don't like something ascetically doesn't mean everyone else has your shitty taste, dipshit.

You "never understand why certain companies go with glyos for their stuff" proves how fucking simple minded and ignorant you are.

Your a simple minded fucktard.

Oh, and have a nice day clownshoe.

Marty is the wrong example for "exclusives" selling out. He usually has had his C2E2 exclusives available for darn near a year afterwards...either in the store or still having a pile he makes available to people. Marty's "exclusives" are easily the highest production runs he does on his figures.

you can use the gator guy to make your figure look like its looking at its pregnant belly, about to give birth.
>>
>>5240531
Fuck off. The gator is $6. It's a larger figure and takes up a whole mold itself. Mark was gonna have to sell it for $6 anyway. Since nothing else could fit in the mold he simply added the articulation as a bonus and knowing that would make it more appealing at that price point.
>>
>>5240904
Because Marty tries to make sure those they want them can get them. Pretty sure he hasn't had exclusives in his store for a year though. what kabutomushi have been exclusives anyway? Are there any in his store now? If so, I might want to score them tonight! The only 2 I am aware of is the glitters he released a couple months ago (august I think).

Fett, Hordak, and Skeletor were 2015 C2E2.

Infection Cyborg and Shadow Cyborg (clears with glitter) were some August 2015 Kansas City con or something.

I think he just takes figures from his normal drop, orders more to cover the con, sells them at the con first and then puts them in the store with his regular drop for those that don't attend the con.
>>
>>5240939
Hey Gly0g! How's Glyos flipping going?

Ahhh look at the irrational hate train of retards coming in the second someone isn't worshipping at your buddies' feet. Why don't you pull the shit out of your eyes and comb over my posts? When did I say his figures don't have appeal? Oh wait, I didn't. I just said that glyos fans don't buy his toys because half the time he bundles a single glyos compatible figure that's half useless as a glyos toy with 3 minis totally useless to glyos. I then questioned why a company like this would spend the extra money to produce toys at the glyos factory when a) they don't mesh or even try to mesh with glyos and b) still have to deal with the added cost, and yes, producing at the glyos factory does make things more expensive.

And here we are with all you jackasses coming in saying I live in my parents basement and hate everything. Must be nice being ignorant fuckbags that jump on cold hard facts and logic and valid questions.

As to your "Facts" about mwotr selling well, that's not really true because so few of them are made. There's been what, 5 or 6 releases TOTAL since they made the jump to glyos. And of course each release is just the single goliath and minis. It's not like you can compare it to any of the real glyos heavy hitters, having releases once every couple of months with multiple figures. Saying that 2 or 3 versions of a figure are selling well because theyre sold out doesn't mean shit when other companies are having 10x as many releases that are selling well(reminding you that this conversation started when I pointed out that his exclusives sitting around for several weeks just mean they don't sell as well).

Yeah, you can build with the gator but it's awkward, more difficult to use than OSM and on par with power lords.

I look forward to more dumbshit responses by you faggots talking about me living in a basement (I laugh from my beachfront property) without anything meaningful to say.
>>
>>5241034

Oh, and as a further addendum to my point, the only real appeal of the glyos factory to handle MWOTR is the fact that it's a reliable factory with a good line of communication to Matt. But- and here's where that damned logic comes in again- is it really worth the extra 30% or so price hike when you're dealing with figures as simple as MWOTR? A reliable factory is important and makes sense when you see some of the issues that come up with complex figures and toylines, like 4H Gothropolis or the Maurauder soldiers. But these are(nearly) unarticulated, unpainted minifigs. It's not rocket science and literally any factory could handle it. Hence my questioning why take up the glyos folks time and put a burden of extra cost on yourself. But I guess this isn't a place for questions, it's a place for nonstop dicksucking and fuck me if I'm not lining up on my knees, right?
>>

>>5241060

>>
>>5241086
Really? I've heard that from almost every Glyos company, not just Marty. From what I've been told, the female holes everywhere increases mold costs because there has to be extra space in the mold to make those holes in the pvc. Here is a pick godbeast posted.

Looks like godbeast is sold out of skeletor, new gitd, gun metal, and unpainted tmnt.

He posted low stock numbers on the new glyos forum.

I checked his store with my cart, 8 colorways have between 7-20 left of each and looks like everything 25 left and less is low stock.

Appears that kabuto mushi is doing well considering his archive shows he has produced 46 colorways (2 being an onell design run and the hornet mushi his friend sold) in 2 years.

Can't wait to see this vinyl giant beetle he has been mentioning.

>>

46 official colorways
2 friend runs

16 currently in stock
8 of these low stock with 25 or less left

So potentially he could end up at the end of the year with only 8 figures in the store and 38 sellouts in two years (not counting what he has planned for december).

Looks good to me and I am glad I own one of every kabuto mushi he has officially sold in the store.
>>

>>5246594
I know he tosses something in on most international orders because he only uses international priority shipping which is expensive. Maybe he just doesn't like you. lol
>>
>>5246676
Maybe. I'm getting a little burnt out on Kabutos lately. These days it's more for the colorway parts to match with other things, but not as much as I used to.
>>
>>5247066
I'm really hoping we get another figure mold for the Kabutos. Onell and Ni Stuff have some great accessories.
>>
>>5247421
It's most-likely the Vinyl Kabuto next. KM1 haven't been a thing for a while and infections were usually accessories for mainline Glyos.
>>
>>5247501
Marty was working on a 1.5 model for awhile to join the Mk II, but putting it into production never moved forward.
>>
>>5247754
He is still working on other pvc characters and parts. Last I heard he is also working on getting the biomasters into pvc production.

Looks like he just helped get the zullbeast and galaxxor into vinyl production.

Seems like a busy guy since he already helped get mwotr and the walking dud into pvc production.

All of these thanks to matt doughty of course.

Personally, I like the variety of all the different glyos sister companies' stuff. Seems like glyos is going strong, branching out farther and farther into all kinds of different indy toy lines.
>>
>>5248081
I'll gladly buy vinyl Galaxxor finally.

My first venture into the wide world of glyos began... This stuff is amazing. I'm worried i'll break the figures by continuously disassembling them, but i suppose they are tough as nails. Can't wait to delve into other lines, gotta sample them all, you know. I'd kill for a Zullbeast, but seems like a long shot to get one, won't have money in a couple weeks. I'm really digging crayboths and travelers, visually. Are the kabuto mushis as amazing to build with as they seem to be? They have some awesome color lines going on lately. Sorry for ranting.
>>
You will quite literally break your fingers building with glyos before you break the toys.

Kabuto Mushis are pretty amazing to build with, yes. I would recommend getting two for maximum build fun. And don't worry about the strength of the plastic, every mainline production PVC Glyos family piece I've personally handled has been strong as fuck. It's even acceptable to twist pieces out of their sockets, and even if said sockets loosen up, they seem to contract/re-tighten over time if you leave them alone for a while without a peg in the socket.

As a standalone figure. Yes. AV has a tad sculpt and pretty ok articulation/parts count.

But if you want to get a taste of what the glyos system really has to offer if recommend heading to the onell shop and picking up some axis joints (always get even numbers of these)
A hub set
And maybe some swing joints.

Combine then with your AV robo and you should have a good idea of what the rabbit hole looks like.

The 16bit.com Glyos reviews kinda blow my mind. I mean, I love Glyos as much as the next guy, but how are you gonna find something interesting to write about the 65th Buildman you review? And that guy tends to write pretty long reviews about each figure too!
>>
>>5275057
Especially since the reviews are often full of either wrong information or completely baseless speculation, and the guy never builds with them.

It's sort of an interesting way to see the viewpoint of someone who buys so much of the toys but otherwise treats them as if they are single figures that he walked over laying on the street and knows nothing about.

There were supposed to be like 6 little shipments throughout the year with each containing one module of some special dude and then something else. I think?!?

Anyhow, Kent (of course) doesn't know WTF he's doing and his attempt to "show up" the other sister companies with clubs and "do it right" is turning into a shit show.

Honestly for the price you ended up getting a ton of shit I don't even know how he's making money on this, unless Glyos figures have huge profit margins for everyone.

>>5277236

Robo Force in this gray and blue please
>>
>>5277969
I think the profit margins are better than what Marty et al would have us believe. Also, Kent might not make much at all on this...probably just needed some quick cash for something when he ran the club. And, for the price all we've gotten so far is a weird crappy gold RF and a weird crappy Skeleden. That's not worth $75. Throw in a "test shot" of some figure and a crappy Manglor Callgrim and you think it's really worth the $75?
>>
>>5277995

Well I mean it's literally worth about $75 not counting the modules and test shot, if you add up the price of ordering all those things separately (going by the $30ish price of the orange robo force). Whether or not I actually like the figures is another thing (the green and bronze on the gold is gaudy as fuck... was disappointed in that)
>>
>>5277995
From Kent's OT post:

"Here are the final details, if you have been on the fence.
As part of the club fee of $75, you get the following:
- exclusive Imperious Maxx figure, who uses the Ultimate paint applications (a $35 value);
- two lenticular stickers that replicate the original Maxx Steele chest stickers (a $20 value);
- the Mystery Maxx Modules, a series of six packets mailed to you (at no additional shipping charge), with which you can create Mystery Maxx - or upgrade your existing Force members (a $25+ value);
- a classic membership packet including a welcome message from Maxx Zero, membership certificate, and a membership card ($10 value);
- a mystery partner figure to assist Imperious Maxx in his reign of terror - from the Glyos System! ($12 value)
- and a "test shot" of an upcoming all-new Toyfinity figure from the Zetonian franchises (Zeroids, S.T.A.R. Team, and Robo Force). This test shot could be unique if anything changes during the production phase.
OVER $125 IN VALUE!"

The Callgrim figure was subsequently added to try to get enough interest to meet his 100 memberships that were "required", but I'm pretty sure he ended up with less and went ahead anyways. Which is fine, but just ship the product! Where are the mystery maxx modules? Where is whatever is replacing the lenticular stickers? Where is the club packet? This whole thing is getting stupid.
>>
>>5278012
Bottom line: If Kent had all the product ready to go and people saw the crappy Skeleden and gaudy RF he never would've gotten those memberships. I'm gonna be pissed if the Callgrim sucks.
>>
>>5278021
And those things were only "part of" the membership. Members are to have rights to order figures with detail lines, extra paint apps, etc. I think the only ones Kent has offered that way all year are the purple/pink ones that are STILL not done. It would've been nice if Kent actually released product so people could take advantage of options rather than Matt releasing the bulk of RF product this year, so the "club" didn't really matter in that way at all.
>>
>>5277969
>Honestly for the price you ended up getting a ton of shit
I'm not arguing that detail at all. I just wanted to know what the Callgrim would be. The Manglors Skeleden was pretty fucking cool. A Manglors Callgrim would be great to go with them or maybe something to match Fangar's colors.
>>
>>5278077
The manglor skeleden sucked. No interesting new colors...just a reverse of something already released by Onell. Yawn. Give us something that's actually special and worthy of being a club exclusive, not just shit.

I really, really like the Leyden head actually. I'm glad it actually got made, cause I've seen a bunch of cool custom sculpts over the years that built on a Pheyden base, and I always assumed they never made it to real production because it was like, stepping on Matt's toes.

First of all, he was about 4-5 years late of being an "OG Glyos Collector."

Secondly, everything in his post on the Glyos Connection speaks volumes about who he really is: a loud mouth, trouble maker, scalper, douchebag, looser.

When has anyone seen anything he has "mold/cast or customized?" Everybody and their dog seems to be molding/casting and/or customizing. So what glyOG/iamsullkrensarvos? Fuck you.

Definitely a clownshoe fucktard to be ignored at all costs.
