Anyone know the exclusives?
Google had a few of them
I've seen some stuff for the Funko booth and Viz is going to have a couple Naruto figures (couldn't find pics though) but that's all I've come across.
Question: is NYCC as famous as SDCC or is it just a second-best con...like Anime expo or something...?

It kind of is a second rate SDCC, it's only been around for like 8 years while SDCC started in the 70s. The first few times I went I was able to get tickets from their site about a month before the actual event. Now though, they sell out instantly and you can really only get em second hand.
Though since the crowds seem to be growing and outnumbering SDCC, hopefully that means we'll start seeing cool exclusives in the future.

SDCC has a higher status symbol and bigger panels but NYCC has more attendees. Over the last 2 or 3 years theres been a shift in favor of NYCC.

i wish it were more popular, because the crowds at SDCC are ridiculous. Keep the worst coast people away.
Fucking even downtown is swarming with thousands of people who didn't get tickets, because there's a ton of events going down in the bars, theathers, hotels, museums, library, parks, and parking lots. They even give out free stuff there, like tshirts, chairs, magazines, books, backpacks, etc.
There's even been talk about extending SDCC to a full week instead of just 5 days.
The only exclusive I want is X-Kai.
And that's mainly because I want to pair it with my Black/ Gold Megazord.
Maybe one of the Godzilla pops. I'm not really crazy about the pops in general but I think the Godzilla ones look pretty nice.

For the record these MOTU figures are actually made of heftier solid plastic compared to the ReAction bootleg-tier hollow plastic...but yeah, Funko shit is aimed at newbs and the gift buying public more-so than knowledgeable collectors. Hence the scandalous price jack.

I remember going the first couple years NYCC existed and its become an absolute fucking madhouse now.
Getting tickets is such a hassle I dont even bother anymore and just go to shows at MSG or some shit.
