That's something that puzzles me to be honest, she looks like a Wonderland Alice, but the MFC's entry put her as a original character for the Cu-poche Friends line, like Anne, but I think that the guys over MFC just put the wrong info there

"by hands" = by hands with airbrush/compressor + masks? Let's see. Nendos' faces are paint machine stamped, some details over molded in color parts are stamped, but clothing detail is masking, according to Mikatan blog videos. Probably the same, i.e. both.
I'm really curious on how Gourai's design will work in hand. She'll be the first Poche with completely new limb pieces if I remember correctly?

What's the QC like on Cu-Poches? I only own one Nendoroid (Ryuuko) and her QC is absolutely top notch, are these comparable quality?

They're around about the same in my experience. They balance incredibly well despite the design of the figure and the magnets are pretty damn strong.
Wish I could find it but you can essentially pull off some upside down standing and Spider-Man esque poses with them.

The paint apps are generally on-the-mark, although once in a blue moon you might end up with one with loose pegs in the wrists/neck. It's nothing a little clear nail polish to the pegs can't fix.
The joints tend to be pretty sturdy, no complaints there.

So far as I understand, they begin as original characters used as models to promote the extra accessories (extra bodies, clothes, accessories, etc) and it seems they gain popularity to the point that Koto released them in the line 'Friends', But I guess most people just create their own bio for them

FAGs are fucking expensive for kits only because they are also cutegrill figures, but they are still kits that you might fuck up if you are not as skilled at building them and cost as much as a completed figure.
That mechsuit is also a pretty good example. If you look at the price it starts at the same price point of Gourai which is a lot smaller than the suit. And it does seem to be pricier than the average gundam 1/100 kit or the Frame Arms kits for the FAG compatibility even if Koto kits are rarely as complex.

Try putting a thin coat of clear nail polish on the peg and letting it dry. If it's too tight after that sand the polish coat down ever so slightly.

Fold a scrap of tissue/toilet paper a few times and put it in the joint socket before inserting the neck. If it's still loose, add more.
