Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here
>Check the BST threads, My Figure Collection for any offer/deal

The S shape is always good advice though. The basic idea is that straight lines tend to look stiff.

Totally forgot Architect was coming this month and I'm still not sure what to do with her. Thinking of mixing her with Duraga to make some kind of knight or maybe mixing her with Kagutsuchi Otsu (Or Tieren Ground if I want to deal with Gundam swapping) to make an armored sniper.
Or perhaps I should go silly with it and mix her with a Lapierre. Any suggestions? What's everyone else doing with theirs?
>Kotous web store cancels tan Materia for 'unforseen circumstances.'
>Write an angry response about how unprofessional it was that it took so long and now I have to pay nearly double the price on the aftermarket
>It's actually cheaper on Mandarake including shipping.
I mean, I'm still angry, but at least it's just in principle.
>>5587962
>lapierre
it's "rapier", just for reference. all those flying FAs are named for implements of stabbity death.
rapier, stylet(stilleto), khanjar...
baselard and it's offspring are slashy as well as stabby, so you have baselard, cutlass, zulfiqar (that being the baselard+extend arms version. I had to look it up to know wtf it was.)
Pros and cons of the black series.
Which figure is best?
Pic related.
Pros: It's Star Wars
Cons: It's Hasbro
The droids and troopers look ok, but avoid humans. That's a pretty good rule of thumb for life too anon.
>>5578435
I reckon some aliens like greedo are OK, but face painting is terrible on humans. See Poe Dameron
>>5578444
The other Poe Dameron looked really good when I saw it in the store the other day. The one with the jacket.

Hold up, do Swindle and Brawl share the same HFG?
>>5612149
I think so? The gun cannons look pretty similar at least.
>>5612149
The cannon pieces are identical, but Brawl's looks more like an engine block, and Swindle's is more like a gas tank.

Do decently articulated dog/cat figures actually exist (other than D-Dog and that one dog with the articulated dick)?
It seems weird to me that no company have ever thought of producing a line of them.
>>5604657
there's the old red xiii and the new pak red xiii
but that's all i can remember

Oh yeah I forgot about those, just a shame about the scale (and the PAK price tag).
no articulated dick no buy
New to figure collecting, basic question. I'm planning on getting the Arthas NECA figure, I've heard only good things about it. However, the cloth cape and loincloth are an extremely vivid purple which in my opinion don't go well with the rest of the figure. All the promotional art even has it photoshopped darker, so it seems this was a mistake.
How feasible would it be to dye this cloth to be darker? Anywhere from darker purple to black is fine with me, I'm not picky about the shade. How would I go about this?
you could always trace the cloth onto a piece of paper and use that as a template to cut out a new one on a darker fabric
>>5599707
I'm not sure how the cloth is attached, to be honest. Which is going to be an issue whether I dye or replace it.
>>5599703
>so it seems this was a mistake.
No, it wasn't a mistake, and you thinking it was because you think it was photoshopped kind of silly on your part.

First for OP is a fag.
Isn't there a X-Men wave coming out soon?
I just bought the Venom Legends for $30 at Emerald City Comic con.
I saw the Legends Spider-Gwen for $45. I know it's scalper price, but I need someone to convince me not to buy it. I want it so bad.
