This is considered a handsome man? idk maybe this is a bad photo, but if this is a handsome man then I'm feeling pretty good about myself.

It's the Youtube kids that have weird obsession with Jang.

You do know you could have gotten him for way less online right?

He's probably too young to have a credit card and buy online.
Is there anyone who needs a real figure more?
No. There isn't.

Yeah, someone actually relevant in Japanese pop culture.
let's discuss toys, plushies and other stuff related to the upcoming Disney movie "Zootopia" (also known as "Zootropolis" in UK)
what toys look the best?
which have good quality?
what toys should be made apart the existing ones?
this backpack doesnt look much useful
tshirts
just because

I really wish they'd made a toy line for the Disney Stores like they did with Monsters University.
Having said that, I've already bought quite a few of the retail figures. They're pretty good for what they are, and their size. Paint can be a bit sloppy, but hey ho.

One more challenge: would people be interested in a seed part challenge? Everyone uses one part and make several different mocs with it. Ideally the part would be something in a mixel set so you could buy several easily

We're on the road to 1USD:99JPY, and will be below it by year's end. The golden age of the last few years is officially over.
>higher msrp
>less accessories
>stronger and stronger yen
Will this affect your purchases and pre-orders? What did you buy during the golden age that was, in retrospect, an AMAZING deal that you wouldn't see today?
>AMAZING deal that you wouldn't see today?
Does this kind of thing ever change the actual build quality or whether a particular toy is produced, or are you just multiplying by .8 now or whatever?
>>5640429
being canadian its already been pure hell. I had to severely cut back.
I guess "amazing deals" were 2500 yen figures with tons of accessories.
Looking back I passed on a lot of figures because they were 3500+, but god damn do I regret it now.
How the fuck can anyone justify paying 6000+ for a 1/12 figure

Can't properly hold their shield. Figures are soft plastic so they feel a bit gummy. The armor won't stay properly clipped on. Staff breaks easy.
The figures are made to pop out the limbs (hands, feet, arms, legs, etc), but the tiny pegs break easy.
Sculpting is nice, the figures can be fun if you're careful, but they are way over priced.
8/10

I got 12 various Spartan figures coming in a pre order but have an Ultimate Spartan in hand (2 more in the mail lol) and Fucking love him.
I didn't really like how plastic the flesh looks but after a few washes and dry brushes I am happy with the figures appearance.
Articulation is really nice, the shield fits perfect for me so no dramas there, the legs were pretty loose but some glue has fixed that. I just wish the ankles were rockers as the standard feet configuration is a tad awkward.

So the guy that does some of NECA's stuff (Pacific Rim, Godzilla, etc.) decided to make his own line of scientifically-accurate raptor figures. He's made three of them so far, and will probably make two more depending on stretch goals. How many of you are interested in getting these?
So far the Kickstarter campaign seems promising, and the raptors are pretty cool.
Link if anyone is interested:

Feathered raptors, nice. I'm in.
>>5633787
Why do they look so awful?
>>5633787
I'm torn. I want a decent articulated dino so bad, but the scientifically accurate ones are so goofy.

Alright /toy/ soldiers I'm doing a presentation later this year on toy related bullshit and I recently made the terrible mistake of using Deviantart for examples and now my eyes are bleeding. Main reason I even lurk this place is because you guys create and find fantastic OC. So if you got some good OC, share it or if you have own or know of good toy related blogs, instagrams, flickrs, or... DeviantArts and Tumblrs post em.
No one wants to see your shitty toy review youtube channels, keep them to yourself.

>Giving away your photography to some suit
Don't do it guys. My gf worked for a big name publisher and her job was getting clearance for photos and quotes. They pay lots of money just to print a 3×4 of a specific piece they need. How would you feel if this guy's company started making money from your photos citing this post as clearance? Fuck this normie, don't sell out our culture or your art. At least make him dig for it himself.
The reason he doesn't want...

Also an anonymous poster linking to a profile in no way qualifies as clearance, so what the fuck are you even talking about?
You guys don't actually spend $250+ on action figures, do you?
I mean shit, I'm not trying to troll. I'm legit curious. (If you do spent that much) Why?
As an idiot who makes just enough to afford his home, its really weird when I see all these high priced toys. Hell, with that kind of money I could buy new furniture or set it aside for a trip. But they're still making them so I guess there must be a market for it..
