Are any of these worth picking up? I see them and I'm impressed with the selection and the sculpts look pretty decent and easily touched up with some paint, but they don't seem too consistent across the line. Someone recently posted some MOC ones here saying they lacked play value, but my karate bugmen need some people to beat up and these look like decent options at quick glance. I assume someone here has better insight than me though
They're a little out of scale with pretty much all karate bugmen aren't they?
I have noticed a lack of sales on the PR figures this season unless I'm just not paying enough attention. I thought I remembered them having an occasional sale at Target or TRU like Mega Bloks sometime has.

>They're a little out of scale with pretty much all karate bugmen aren't they?
I assume, but most of the ones I've looked at appear to be crouching to fit into the bubble, and I think a small scale difference would be easy enough to ignore in action poses.
I think there is about a half inch difference between the figures and SHF. It's just enough to be aggravating but I think if you pose them right it should look decent.
I wonder if the figures would look better with a more professional paint job like someone showed with some G.I. Joe stuff a month or so. ago.
planning of getting some "life drawing" style anatomy figures to study poses. Which one would be better? The Figma Archetype...
Or the S.H. Figuarts "Mr Body" ones?
It should be noted the page for the mr body advertises it better i.e; shows the figure's articulation points off better than the figma one. But the figma one has more realistic feet.
Yeah I might get the figma one. Thanks for not helping or discussing.

Posted too late in the last thread:
I get why it's not done, but I wish MPs were in sold on shelves at places like wal Mart, target, etc. I'm tired of what's currently on the shelves.
Waiting on TR I'm just seeing all CW retools and RID figures I either have or dont want and it's getting old as fuck.

Villain and guys we want to get.
I lost it when I saw they didn't make a Doomsday figure from the SvB movie but instead made "Bat Thing" figure.
I think we should make these threads on the off chance that some corporate guy may actually listen to the consumers.

How do you rate Kre-O's dungeons and dragons sets?
I can't say that I've messed around with any of them but from the picture they look kinda bad
I was fortunate in that Dollarama here dumped a bunch of one of the blind bag series for a buck each and I scooped up all I could find, found them to be pretty cool. Kinda regret not trying the line earlier but at the same time I didn't feel they were worth the original asking price.
Kre-O is pretty shitty, to be honest. There's a reason it was almost perpetually on clearance, and just slowly phased out of existence at retail.
It was probably the worst non-bootleg "not-LEGO" on the market.
Who is this Toryn Farr chick and why is she warming the pegs in all my local stores? They are cheap enough for me to build a battalion of them
Also, what's the resident shelfwarmer in your area? What do you expect to stay on the shelves for a long, long time?
>>5652650
I live in a Central-European country, our only NECA importer has 18 Sergeant Craig Windrix figures on the shelf from Aliens. That number has been more or less unchanged for the 1.5 years. My feeling is that even if they were to halve the price, he would stay there for a long time.
Also I remember the Indiana Jones toys from the Indy 4 movie. Even to this day they sometimes pop up at smaller stores, nobody wants them.
She's one of the Rebels running a computer in the Hoth Base in Empire. There being figures of just about every character you could think of is simultaneously one of the best and worst things about Star Wars.
I rarely buy figures in person but whenever I'm at the local Walgreens I check their toy section. Anything Hasbro releases that's a Walgreens exclusive is sure to shelfwarm. There are ten Marvel Legends Black Ants currently, and a bunch of Black Series Lightning Darth Vaders.

I should pick up a few windrix's for their bodies.

Have any of you guys or gals built one of these? What am I in for here? I heard they're really hard, but I bought some tools for them as well. How fucked am I?
I have built the Millennium Falcon and Vader's TIE ship.
They aren't hard so long as you have some needle nose pliers to bend the metal tabs. Overall they're pretty simple to build if you follow the instructions. That AT-AT looks pretty easy since there aren't any circular pieces, which can be a little finicky to form properly and have the tabs line up.
I bought one of these because it was cheap and spent the better part of an hour hunched over at my desk before I gave up and wrote it off as a learning experience. Fingerprints galore, stabbed myself a few times, tweezers made it harder, pieces broke here and there because they didn't bend perfectly, lost a tiny bit in the carpet... it was a mess. 2/10 would not recommend to anyone suffering chronic hamhands like myself.
The finished ones look neat though.
This is pretty much enraging.
who wants rebuy the 50 figures they've already bought in this new scale?
>>5651912
As long as they're good, I'm up for it.
Of course, I'm not rebuying much of anything, since i only mostly just bought into their Halo stuff and that series has been pretty much used up.
Articulated and match to ML? I might be down.
Shodo Vs3 revealed. These 4 plus 2 secrets. Shodo Vs2 being released in early May. Future wave wants? Excitement for this wave? For wave 2?
Looks like they'll be going with the pattern of at least 2 villains per wave. I think they're doing a pretty good job with selection so far. And I wonder what the deal with the secrets are. I'd have to assume repaints.
>>5630718
I can imagine one of the secrets could be a charged up version of Stronger, not sure what the other one could be.
>>5630851
>not sure what the other one could be.
>>5630718
Whoa, whoa, secrets now? Will Wave 2 have any secrets? I bought Wave 1 and I don't recall there being any.
Wave 1 was pretty damn nice, but for some reason I find myself less and less interested in these. Maybe because they look and pose so similarly to the SHFs I already own, and the novelty of them is sort of wearing off now that I have some in-hand. At this point I'm mostly in it for the unique villains that haven't been made in SHF form, but...there's only like, one of those per wave.
Post toys with swords. Or don't.
