Ok toys, /k/ommando anon here.
What is the general consensus about army men here ?
we love halo
>>4537032
They're great. Staples of any healthy childhood. Anyone that didn't have them must be some sort of slack jawed faggot. But after you get done blowing them up as a teen they kind of fall off the radar unless you're hit by some nostalgia binge. No articulation is a huge demerit, and the cheap quality kind of goes against everything most collectors seek so they're not exactly common around here. They still kick ass though.
Welcome all!

What is a Nendoroid, you may ask?

Did anyone buy the 80s nostalgia re-ment set? It's all separated on MFC and wanted to know if they're good Nendo size.

Anyone looking to buy a Yoko Nendo?
Came in today. What a chubster.
The last few attempts got off to a bad start, but let's try this again in earnest.
Starting a new project? Looking to finish and old one? Share tips, tools, and advice here.
What's on the worktable /toy/?
Here's some tips from the previous threads:
For sculpting: use 2-part epoxy putty like Aves apoxie or fixit.
For tools: try a basic carving/sculpting set like the kind arts & crafts stores have.
Dental tools have also been said to work well.
Also, using a Dremel is recommended. Minimites (the small $20-25 ones) are fine for starting out, but the battery life is poor. Upgrade to a corded one only if you want to get deeper into customizing. They are useful for stuff outside of the hobby though, so it's a good investment regardless.

I'll start with this. It's Nisa from Hyperdimension Neptunia. I got the basic form set up since her body design is simple enough, just have to fill in some details. Going to start on her distinctive gloves and boots today.

oh hey you guise put my nendo in the op pic. neat.
Hi /toy/,
So I'm just sitting here wondering if I'm the only one who has weird habitual behaviors with regards to toys/figures/collectibles. For example, I never handle any of my stuff without washing my hands first, even when there's nothing sticky or grimy on them. I don't know when the habit started but it's one of those things I started doing and now I just do instinctual whenever I go to move some of my stuff or open up a new item. It's also something I ask others to do before handling my stuff. I know it sounds autistic, but I just...

i wash my figures before storing or putting them on display.
Hate that lube they put on toys, which they never take off all the way when putting them together and packaging them.
I wear Nitrile gloves while handling/posing my figures, which are kept safely in a glass display case. I have literally never touched most of my collection.
I'm worse, I never open the boxes they're in and I wrap them up in a layer of cellophane. Next I place them on the shelves.
Does anyone else try not to buy figures over $100, it feels irresponsible to spend that much on a figure.
paid $30 for him on mandarake stains and all
but whos laughing now?
I normally wouldn't, but as a diehard Samurai Pizza Cats fan I have sworn to myself to buy any new merchandise that comes out, and earlier this year Evolution Toys announced a Supreme Catatonic for their Dynamite Action line. And after doing a bit of Googling, figures in that line often seem to go for well over $100 right off the bat.
is that nendoroid red over $100 yet?
it's my current white whale, but I dare not hunt it for fear of depression
Which you think are pretty cool toys to have under black light.
note, i think japanese figures with hot glue doesnt count
>>4536315
Does cum glow in the dark?
Z-G figures were black light reactive. All of their armor was modular, so I would put the green stuff on the red guy, except for the helmet and chestpiece. It was pretty cool looking.
Yourself.
Just landed in Osaka and I'm already liking what I'm seeing. Hitting up every toy store on every island. Tell me what you guys want to see!
taiwan was a total bust. But Japan seems promising.
Any cool store decorations? Like drawings, customs, stuff like that
FYI, OP, remember there's two Mandarake in Osaka. I took a trip there last week. Went to Grand Chaos but completely forgot about the one in Umeda.
Also, the best station to go to for Denden town is Ebisucho.

Where were you when Dante was finally getting a figure as cool as he is?
>>4465919
Looks like it has the same articulation as the AC Brotherhood figures, and since the QC on that was fucking astonishing I'm hoping it'll be the same on this.
..This is the NECA, right?
>>4465926
Yep, it's NECA.
This seems to be a character NECA cares about which means he'll be sublime.
Their vidya figures are usually bare minimum requirements but their AC ones were elder god tier, and this looks to be that quality.
I'm fucking pumped. If this does well that could mean DMC3 dante down the line at some point which would basically be the greatest thing ever since the only two offerings for DMC3 dante are an outdated revoltech and glorified statue.

oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit
Why do people do this?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Collectible-Minifigures-CUSTOM-Series-10-Mr-Gold-RARE-Figure-Minifig-CMF-/400530371622?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item5d41787426
I know this is old like last year but still I find it surprising how so many people fall for this Mr Gold fake and clearly think its the real deal. It makes me feel bad if some old person or someone who doesnt know any better gets it for their kids or something.
Anyways Lego general

>That face tho
Im literally dying. Someone get a close up of his face for a possibly future reaction image.
>>4446281
It says "CUSTOM" and "Replica" right in the auction.
>>4446312
People are dumb, I've listed 1/6th fclothing and had to refund several retards who can't bother to read the auction title of FOR FIGURES NOT PEOPLE.
These people think that you can feasibly get a near mint bullet proof vest for 15$, along with a sweet SMG replica also for 10-15 bucks.
goodnight, /toy/

tfw I had pic related lined up and ready to go.
Will risty ever get a revoltech?
Sadly no.
Happily no.
If they don't do anymore Queen's Blade I want Senran Kagura to fill the void
so i noticed today that the clothing left some really nasty marks around the thighs and i'm a little bit at a lost on how to remove them? (they really seem to be permanently marked) google recommended to buy an acne cream (oxy) but i dont think they sell that in AUS, so i thought i'll try my luck here as well... any other fellow anons had the same issue?
and here's another pic from a different angle
a close up of the marks left by the figure's clothing
People in Australia don't get acne?

And then my cousin smashed all the parts with a hammer and my parents refused to buy me any more.
