From what I gather, /toy/ gets more of their western stuff locally or through Amazon/Ebay, while most of the japanese stuff comes from AmiAmi or HLJ, with Mandarake for out-of-print/hard to find things.
But what about the other less-known options? Recently I found a site named Genteikits that seemed to focus on Japan-only deals (mostly P-Bandai, but also Figma, Figuarts, etc).
Or what about "mainstream" options, like japanese amazon, Rakuten?

>>5336546 So, why aren't we talking about the greatest toyline ever? I'm too poor for the Hot Toys, so it's S.H.Figuarts for me. No other companies are even in the running, so let's cut all the Hasbro discussion.
I think most of have at least one Shinki we forget about. One that we take down from the shelf or out of the draw less, play with, pose and photograph less than the rest. This thread of for those Shinkis and for everyone to make a bit of an effort to remind them that their masters still care about them.

They could be GKs, model kits, or figures. Too soon to know. >Frame Arms Girl continues with an unarmored kit plus the architect is up next, with another mech on the way. >Blade teamed up with Megahouse to make some cheaper, 8cm tall 1:1 battle robot figures called Desktop Army. Their plan includes 3d printable add-ons to appeal to customizers. tldr it's a good time to be a Shinkifag.
Where to buy second hand Shinkis: >eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid Latvia. >Mandarake - search 武装神姫 and don't trust listing images (they sometimes get mixed up). >Yahoo Japan Auctions - same kanji as above, you'll need a proxy, try Noppin or FromJapan. >Taobao - search 武装神姬 and use a proxy like Taobaoring, Taoboafocus, or Bhiner. >Amiami occasionally gets some preowned. They tend to sell fast. >Check the BST, My Figure Collection, and Busou Shinki World for sales.

>>5316931 >>5316923 the Mk2s are an oddity in the shinki line. usually repaints are exclusives, but for the Mk2s, the repaints (tempesta and lavina) were the general retail versions. the normal colors were sold only with battlemasters (and battlemasters Mk2, for the full arms package versions)

I happen to have mixed collection but I only buy HT figures based on characters that hold a very special place in my heart and if they have very little available figures out there that are actually good/accessible.
That said, I'm buying Ultron myself, but I don't just leave my figures on a shelf since I happen to like posing around my figures a lot (I should warn you that handling them does take a bit of getting used to if you've had little experience with 1/6 figures).
The elitism in getting such a priced piece can be ridiculous though, so unless... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
