I'm cleaning up and I've got too many toys and not enough space so I'm just cluttering up. I've made peace with myself to only keep my favorites so I can have a nice small shelf display. But I just find it hard to get rid of toys that I really like and they give me pennies for them, especially since in the country I'm in there aren't as many big fandoms as there were in the US. For the $5 I get for a SHFiguart I can't do it. I've tried selling internationally but it wasn't worth it after shipping.
Pic somewhat related.

donate them and get a small tax write off m8

Looks like you have four options.
1. Give them away
2. Throw them away
3. Pack them up and store them somewhere out of the way
4. Destroy them and film it for youtube

>3. Pack them up and store them somewhere out of the way
This. You really need to show all your toys at the same time?
Anyone on this board do Figure Reviews?

I have a wordpress for figure reviews.
Hey /toy/
Just before Christmas I purchased Super Dungeon Explore Forgotten King, fully intending to pain the miniatures.
Now I have the paints but the miniatures came pre-glued in to their bases which is a fuck nightmare for some of the characters that have capes and such.
I have tried heating the bases in boiling water to try and loosen the glue, but some of the models have very dainty ankles.
I have tried freezing the models to cause the glue to crack and fail, also no worky.
Any other advice from mini pros here?

plastic right?
get an extremely sharp/new razor blade and go to work
just make sure you are protected.
safety first!
razors are sharp as all hell and if the can cut through plastic
they will swim through flesh
>>5361566
also forgot to mention: use a blow dryer to soften up the plastic a bit
>>5361571
Thats some advice! I picked up some xacto blades extra for cleaning up mold lines. Time to get to work.

Mine comes in in January, I won't lie he's way bigger than I'd expected. Fucking rad.
>>5360036
Agreed, he is larger than I thought as well. The reviewer mentions something like for his size he may cost too much. I'm thinking maybe he hasn't ventured into 3rd party transformers yet.
Have anyone of you bought this?
This fucker isn't even in the movie
>>5351082
Wasn't he on Jakku?
>>5351090
No, he wasn't
He *might* have been in the force vision, but it was too dark to tell

Speaking of no screen presence, anyone else feel Phasma was a letdown? No hope of a revival. She was so fully embarrassed, she will never be taken seriously again.

Hey /biog/, have you ever discovered an emergent properties of your particular building style that you didn't expect?
I myself have come to discover I have a... height. I'm not sure how nor why, but all my main builds, no matter how different their construction, all seem to creep closer to each other's height the closer they are to completion. This would not be remarkable were they traditional sizes, but I'm fairly confident in the fact that my main builds are all unnaturally large compared to most, and all somehow the same height. It's like my...

For anyone with the graphic novel and chapter books, do they share the same plot or are they different? I'd rather get the graphic novel if they're the same but the chapter books if they're different, just because of personal lore conveyance preference.
I've been collecting Transformers for the past 10 years, ever since I was a kid. At my collection's peak I likely had over 400 figures, but I've been downsizing over the past year which feels like I've had a weight lifted from my shoulders. At this point I should be happy with my hobby, but I'm not. Last night before I went to bed I realized: I hate Transformers.
I still enjoy the toys and certain universes of fiction, but I fucking loathe the fanbase. I hate the rampant autism, the "with us or against us" obsessors who throw the word...

Yeah, quit. This is something you do for fun. If it's costing you money and time, and is making you miserable, get the heck out.
Downsize more, maybe keep 10 of your most favorite figures around, and take a break. You'll find something else with your new found time.

This honestly doesn't feel like a troll or copypasta, I have to reply!

Warhammer 40k. I have like $5k easy in minis for that game. Part of me wants to sell it off, part wants to put it in the garbage and never look back

A less blog-like OP might have been good, but as fair as this topic goes, yeah I used to be in the same boat.
I used to be into Transformers, not for 10 whole years but for a fair few, and I pretty much dropped it when the new cgi cartoon started (though I haven't actually seen the show, that just happened to be the time when I decided to leave). I enjoyed the figures, the collecting and the lines, both Generations and Power Core Combiners were absolutely my shit I loved those figures.
But I could...

Does anyone remember Tech Decks being popular in the early 2000's?
If you had one at school you would automatically be cool lol.

Tell me why the Ollie is the hardest trick to do, but all the other tricks are easy.
>>5364367
Never saw the appeal. People would bring the big play sets with the ramps and rails in to school and all huddle around. I thought it was stupid.

Anyone know a good place to buy figures in sweden? Or a website with low shipping rates?
>>5367576
Webhallen have a lot of play-arts I think and SFBok usually have some stuff too plus there's sites coming and going all the time specializing in japanese stuff, but I'm sure that every store here overcharges because supply/demand, you might get lucky with some in-EU site in the UK or Germany like amazon or Ebay, some Amazon UK stores ship from Japan and if they are marked as "Free UK delivery" it's basically free to all of the EU. But as long as your order is under 1400 SEK you don't have...

What are 1990s to 2000s McDonalds toys worth?
Depends, most probably nothing. If it's still sealed in bag, assuming it was bagged, and was from a franchise people still care about then maybe a little bit but nothing too much.

fiddy cents each.
A long while back (possibly 7 years ago) I went to visit family in Mexico during the Christmas season. There, I saw that Pepsi was introducing toys to any individual who brought in bottle caps from any Pepsi product...
Long story short, WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS TOY LINE? for the life of me I cannot remember and it's bothering.
This is the only image I can find.

Wiwichus I think I got one of those somewhere in storage there were neat if difficult to obtain

Clothes.
Gonna be building this tomorow evening, but don't like the blue color, so I will be spray painting the blue sprue black. What other color should I spray the "white portions" to compliment it ?
>>5366384
Purple, black work to me.
But one thing I will tell you that IS right, don't spray the sprue man for fucks sake, all those gate marks are gonna hurt.
Snip the parts out, sand them, THEN spray each part.
I did that and I regret it, paint coverage is harder to do for some parts anyway because other parts and sprues being in the way, bigger waste of paint.
ITT: Preorders that are lying to you, aka toys you're not getting until 2016.
