Speaking as someone who's been lucid dreaming for years and gotten quite good at it, it is VERY highly overrated. Your brain doesn't actually have the processing capacity to pull off the virtual reality paradise you're probably imagining. Yeah, you can lucid dream landscapes - but most of it would be low resolution nothing for most of the time. You can dream cities, but there'd be very few actual people in there. You can dream hot chicks, but they wouldn't have any personality and there's no point in directly mentally instructing someone on how to talk to you. That's not conversation.

Oh, and I wasn't around for the end of the last thread, so here's my thoughts on that:
What Eclan needs most for the war effort currently (in no particular order):
Morale (It's been lose, lose, lose since you die. Eclan needs to start winning again) Morale is more useful of a thing than a lot of people think. High morale is one of the things that turns regular people into heroic soldiers. Your return gives some of this.
More / More powerful low-level units. The elite units you currently have can't be everywhere they need to be. Either arming them with white steel or using lots of funding to hire mercenaries or aligning with a devoted kingdom like Hadew can help with this.
An offensive push. Eclan may seem to have a lot of soldiers, but there's not many they can devote to a counterattack, especially with all the domestic threats like giant monsters and king fire dragons. More low level soldiers helps with this, but so something like Falnere's fire troops or Lotun's surplus of assassins can help.
More elite units - While you do have quite a handful already. It never hurts to have more. A giant plant woman (though despite her strength, she's not really trained), unbreakable rock golem, or a guy in power armor would all be good assets.
In short, you have a good bit of everything, but to turn things around you just need more. What you get more of will determine the tactics you need to use, but just about anything should work. In fact, connections with Clipsea could let you form a new middle-class of combatant. Not as powerful as elite units, but above the rank-and-file.

It is even possible, if you work hard enough, that you could singlehandedly turn the tide of the war by yourself. It doesn't take thousands of people to storm strategic enemy positions and take them down. Becoming an elite unit yourself is enough to be quite useful. Especially considering that not all elite units are equal. Royal ones tend to be quite a few steps above ones that aren't. And to expand on what I said about morale earlier, it is perfectly possible to win the war with the Live option. Morale boosts for your elite of elites is useful.

In a nutshell, yes. Sure, he makes a whole lot of people mad, but those that support Trump are highly motivated. If you could do that (but ideally without making as many people hate you), you'd be good for the country. That's the importance of morale. A lot of people discount the High Knight suitors on those grounds, but the morale boost shouldn't be undervalued so much.

Well, the citizens care about their beloved princess, but the king has ordered nothing about an attempted rescue. He considers spending manpower on something as pointless as that to be wasteful, even if it was manpower to spare.
I already answered this above, but the average civilian cares for their princess.
They think the leadership is crude & forceful, but effective. Other than the soldiers (and the draft), they aren't really being oppressed, so no reason to revolt. Besides, doing so would be suicide.
They just throw bodies into the grinder.
There's propaganda to make them hate the enemy enough to attack them. Poor Katelyn has been captured and tortured beyond belief. In fact, she is likely already dead. Not to mention the various other "atrocities" that these countries have done.
Verend gets a lot of their supplies as spoils of war. Before they started the campaign, they had a stable economy as well. But now, it is war feeding war. They could go back to the old ways, but this is netting boosted prosperity & more land.
A rebellion would be a major, major hit to Verend, but getting it started isn't as easy as having Katelyn make a speech saying "fight back."

Here's the way I look at it. First, you get to be a true Royal. If money and power are your thing this is better than anything you could hope for on earth.
Second, you have a ridiculously devoted and loving family here, which is actually quite strange given the royalty position. Within a short time you will remember them whether you want to or not, so even if you have great friends and family back on earth you will be at least torn between wanting to go back and not wanting to leave.
If you lean more towards ability and achievement you'll find that here too, beyond what could even be physically possible on earth. You have either the fighting and magical potential of a demigod or the innovative ability to create and advance magitech to incredible levels. Within Decades (and your lifespan and health are also greatly enhanced already) you could have a starfaring magical civilization with far fewer drawbacks than doing it with technology alone.
And of course like the other anon said it would be years before you managed to actually get back, and probably decades from earth's perspective.
IMO the only valid reason to want to go back to earth is to attempt to flee. If you see no way of winning the war, your only alternatives are death or exile, so effectively exiling yourself back to earth is an appealing option.

I doubt mass teleportation is practical. You might be able to send in a small strike team, and it would likely require multiple mages to do even that. It can be effective, but you risk stranding your most valuable people behind enemy lines and getting them captured.

Typically around entire cities. Large-scale teleportations have a slow and noticable start-up, allowing them to be detected. It isn't viable to teleport entire armies by sheer magic required alone. You can't teleport an elite team right outside of an enemy fortress either. You could teleport such a team to the nearby woods or someplace where they couldn't be seen, though. Single-person teleportation only takes a few seconds, so it's viable to send just want person straight to a warfront. To this end, warcamps often have anti-teleportation items to carry with them to prevent night raids.

Well, it was implied that a small group of super elites could take on a small army. You could port in, wreck something important, then port out. As long as the mage doesn't gets popped it seems really hard to defend against because you'd need wards all over, or a way to alert your own on-call teleporting anti-raiding force.
Incidentally, that is exactly how late game Dominions is played. Since you can't generally teleport armies they are generally bound to a given geographical location. This leads to a metagame where small elite units called Thugs are sent behind the line to disrupt the opponent's economy. Thugs can generally take on any number of mundanes but die to magic.

Look, I'm a massive propaganda piece here. We can use me as a sign of peace, an impossible thing that happened anyway due to everyone's desire for peace. That's going to shake up quite a few people, especially if we get the mages to publish quietly if at all and ham up the difficulty and nigh-impossibility anyway. And then one of my first acts is to free Katelyn out of a desire to end the war? That's one hell of a one-two punch right there. There's two options - we lie and state that she was intercepted in transit, she's been held somewhere hidden, and I go "rescue" her (which has the disadvantage of being a blatant lie, but certainly works); or we try to minimize Teresa's involvement, blaming it all on grief, "a grieving giant does not look where her tears fall." It hurts her reputation in the eyes of the people of Verend - makes her much more fearsome and terrifying - but given the military involvement she and Alexander have had, that was going to happen anyway. Then, we run a publicized false flag operation - try to return Katelyn to Verend, but we are "attacked" by Verendian troops, and barely escape with our lives. At that point, Verend's population will be severely unhappy, and while Verendian propaganda may mitigate it, we just have to keep fueling the fire and fighting purely defensively. Oh, and perhaps supply a few warriors and weapons to encourage the battle.

If the spymaster is considered infallible, slip a band onto one of his spies to make them a double agent and start feeding him misinformation (actually, try doing that anyway, rather than just outright killing his spies where we find them).
