In the kafi lands around the Lake-sea, the natives have once again become unruly.

Many protests had begun in Fort Harvest, Fort Rainfall, Fort Southpath, Greenvale and throughout the jungles. The news of a military officer killing several civilians turned the protests into violent riots. While the officer allegedly did so in self-defence, the tensions with the kafi have erupted. Large mobs of kafi overwhelmed the police and military stationed in Fort Southpath and have obtained guns and cannons. A rebellion has begun and it seems the infrastructure for it was planned in advance as all throughout the Lake-sea the kafi are rising up in arms.Many white colonists, a minority in these areas, have been killed or robbed and are fleeing north, towards the white-dominated territories.
By all reports tens of thousands of kafi have taken arms. Their religious leaders are instilling zeal in them as their numbers grow rapidly.
The government must react.

In the initial skirmirmishes we were able to size up our enemies. They have equipped themselves with many small arms, but have far less heavy armament than us. Most lack experience outside of some militia training and can not match the discipline of our professional troops.
We've retaken Greenvale and pushed the enemy out of Lordlake. Port Deadflame's garrison was reinforced by sea and is holding the front there as well. The rebels suffered heavy losses in an attempt on taking that city, but its defences were strong.

The Kafi refuse to surrender. Their priests have convinced them that this is a holy war, a war of survival, a war of good versus evil. Their numbers grow despite losses, men, women, yong and old all pick up arms against their percieved oppressors.
The rebels have stopped trying to take Port Deadflame and have taken to the defensive. Most of our forces are now fighting them at Fort Southpath, but they have more numbers and high morale and are holding on to the river.

Our forces are overwhelming. The Kafi are no match for a large, trained and well-equipped army.
One by one cities, towns and villages fall. The kafi are crushed in the field, the jungles are burnt to flush them out. In every settlement that houses rebels no mercy is shown. Tens of thousands die every day. The last stronghold of the rebellion was Fort Harvest. Artillery shelled the city for days. None were allowed to escape by our cavalry and afterwards the infantry began their advance, ruthlessly exterminating the kafi population.
With over 300 000 men deployed in the campaign overal, we've taken 25 000 casualties, while estimated kafi casualties are in the hundreds of thousands.
The campaign took over two months. By the end of it, news had spread throughout the republic.

In Padni the riot has become an uprising. White police and military officers have been killed or forced to flee the city. The news of the Kafi extermination is bound to only make things worse.

Lawkeeping forces were unable to hold back the rioters. Some shots were fired in self-defence by police officers and the crowds went crazy. Our forces had to pull back to Malebedni as most of the pajit lands are now in revolt. Police forces have been unable to deal with riots in parts of the ramki and hibibi territories as well.
The Kafi Rebellion has largely been crushed, those who were not killed or captured have fled to neighbouring provinces, where they are fanning the flames of further uprisings.
The Emir of Ahmanud has sent the government a message that his own troops will not allow any rebelions in his lands to grow and we can count on him. Some of the hibibi under our direct control have risen up, though.

Thing is we don't, i was going to suggest their development, now that we have rear-loading cannons but since we are in a war we will have to make do with the next best things.

Overall, the situation has deteriorated. Our reinforcements crushed the uprisings in the northwestern pajit lands(which we rule directly). In Padni and Lebni we encountered heavy resistance. The military responded with force and much of those two cities now lie in ruins.
On the ramki front our troops retook Tamrapti, but the rebels withdrew to the central areas. Hyulyu'd garrison is keeping the order in the region's capital so far.
The annexed hibibi region's rebellion is growing, the two main cities, Tarasil and Pirusat, are now under siege by rebels as the local hibibi are also rioting.
In Jamatun the darkskins have begun rioting en-mass, looting and burning colonial administration. In some pockets white colonists and garrisons are holding off for now.
The governments of two of the four vassal pajit states have been overthrown - the Core State and Hamali State now declare their solidarity with the anti-government uprising.
Current demands by the rebels are the full resignation of the government, court-martials for all military leaders involved in crushing rebellions and autonomy for all minority regions.
We could try to negotiate and seek a road for peace, maybe even secure better terms than that.
The Sigbru government has promised to assist nearby army bases, such as Tarasil's fortress. Emir Ahmanud still holds power in his lands and is loyal to us, as are the Basur and Eastcoast States and the Prizzid Principalities.
Our allies have promised to lend support if the situation spirals completely out of control.

Our forces were ordered to cease extermination and provide humanitarian aid, assist our vassals and fight more cleanly to prevent a further PR disaster.
While the Jamatun front has been stabilized by the arrival of the Ranger Valley Defence Force, the governments of our hibibi and pajit vassals were overthrown by rebels. Unknown. This large front has a total population of around 10 million people of various races. Surviving rebel fighters from other provinces have also converged here, but the enthusiasm and participation is not as high as it was in the kafi uprising.

It took months, but eventually our armies were able to obtain victory. The advantage of superior training, equipment, logistics and strategy assured our eventual victory.
A full year after some unknown military officer killed kafi civilians, the revolutionary waves in our republic are over. The losses on the government side - mostly military, some white colonists as well - are estimated at around 190 000. In the rebellious provinces over 2 million perished, half of which were kafi. These events seriously hurt our economy and political stability - martial law is now in effect across the vassal states and rebellious provinces. Our troops can not yet be recalled as they are still mopping up the last pockets of resistance and restoring order.
The government must now decide what measures it will take to stablizie the political situation now that these uprisings are over.

Born in Centerhold, age 30, completely irremarkable service record prior to being posted in Fort Southpath, where in the first month of 1106 AE, during the protests of a group of kafi he shot and killed four civilians. I worry that the njordgales might one day get corrupted and ruin our security, division of control will make this less likely.

Most of the miitia reserves have returned home and are being demobilized. New governments are being established in the vassal lands as order is returning.
These uprisings were bloody, damaging and costly. With time the material damages will be repaired, but the societal implications remain. Aside from millions of casualties, these rebellions have further spurred on the migration of minorities towards the NPU.
We've created a military police force, which focuses on keeping our soldiers and officers under control, combatting corruption and infiltration. We've begun setting up new and better military academies, changing our army doctrines. Aside from the political issues with our army, these battles that were fought also revealed the power of our new weaponry and the need for different approaches to combat in the future.
The story ends for today, but there's one or two things I'd like to ask you, the players.

I think that every thing has gone very well even though their have been votes that I think were disastrous for us. Look at some of the old threads and you will find a flag for the white republic. It was made a person named Prassel who is no longer here. I would post it but I dont have have and haven't bothered to fetch it. It was a horizontal tricolor with and eagle similar to the Holy Roman Empire.

So anyone think the Nose is behind this? I actually think a propaganda war is the way ahead, it's the Nose's own strategy, but right now they are not in many positions of power...not yet. I suggest we get out there and tell the people that their greatest foe, the Spires is out there trying to sow discontent, spread degenerate ideas, they will whisper to you, don't listen simply be polite and file report so we can investigate.
