What is your favorite character you ever played?
>>
I once told my group I could handle playing a wizard, when I had never done so before.

I then made my favorite character ever, an apprentice mage who got his master killed because he couldn't tell powdered iron from silver and ended up on his own in the world. He went around telling everybody he was his master, the greatest wizard in all the land.

Little did anybody suspect that his dungeon delving for arcane secrets was fueled by desperation and guilt. He craved so desperately to be worthy of the name he'd stolen, knowing full well how wretched he was.

I'm still disappointed that only some of this ever came up during the campaign and we never finished it, but I really enjoyed working my own inexperience and hollow confidence into my character.
>>
Probably a Kobold Spellsword. Maybe not my favorite character concept, but definitely the most fun to actually play.
>>
Magnus Novus, tech priest malatek in DH. Believed flesh to be the equal of the machine, and spent spent his time developing drugs. He specialized in studying psykers, and was attempting to research a method to turn normal humans into psykers.

My group was as scared of me as they were what we were fighting. Especially since I was the medic.
>>
I played a Russian merc called Ivan in an ongoing CP2020 game.

Very professional on the job, but a total goof-ass in his free time.
He was a master wrestler, a surprisingly talented dancer, spoke 6 languages, and could put an incendiary round through a booster's eye at 30 meters

I think having such a great party to play with and a superb GM helped make the experience so good. The banter was the best I've ever had in a game and nobody ever broke character.

That's awesome
>>
I played a dwarven priest specialized in stone/earth magic.
Adventured with 2 other dwarves, each with a completely different reason to venture out of our mountain homes.
We really bonded for being pariahs in the human's lands, but eventually got to lead armies and develop new settlements, before (most of) our goals were achieved.

I was just reminded of this: My favorite character was probably the Bothan spy I made for a Star Wars game.
I was young and didn't know the system, so I threw myself into the roleplay.
I kept diligently playing as a suspiciously competent merchant that had gotten himself mixed up in the adventures of the group.
The GM saw where I was going with it and went along with it.
I barely helped in the battles, but I ended up effectively being the party face and had a lot of fun balancing everything I did and said while maintaining I was a humble tradesman.
>>
Probably a tie between a half-orc muscle wizard and dragonborn bardbarian. The muscle wizard died unceremoniously sinking on a boat and the bardbarian got killed by a system conversion. I irrationally hold both things against the DM

Sir Bobkin Twinklebottom, Esq., Heir to the Twinklebottom Family Estate, Rider of vicious War Goat, Acolyte of Gond and excellent pistol marksman, President of "Sir Bobkin Twinklebottom, Esq. LLC Forever Adventurers Club", and neutral evil Rock Gnome.

Dude had Dragon Sickness just as bad as any dwarf, and literally, from lucky rolls and CharOp'd allies (which really buttered my biscuit), I was the proud owner of a young adult green (or was it black?) dragon carcass. I sold that to the best bidder, no questions asked, and no it did not bother me that they constantly praised Tiamat. Pissed off Doomguard of Kelemvor by selling the dead, pissed off myself for not using the body for goat barding, and pissed off the party by being a ridiculous noble and effectively squandering the hoard of money (locked away in a bank) for only my own desires within certain provisions.

Then the scaley furfag methhead in the group decided to ruin the fucking narrative by forcing PvP.

Tony Bitone. He was an Italian mafioso who ran, fucked, and fought his way through the anarchist chaos of the zombie outbreak. Eventually he found himself in a school and he started travelling with a guy with an eyepatch and robot arm and a nazi with a huge axe on his back.

Tony had paranoid delusions that the Don of his mafia was constantly following him, as Tony had to let him die to live. As they travelled, Tony eventually had massive problems with the axenazi turning I tell gent zombie on him, and tried to blow him away (which would have failed, had it not been retconned).

That was a fun game. It's a shame it had to end due to dArama bullshit, but playing an insane mafioso was a ton of fun. Oh yeah, his cousin also had a casino in vegas.

Marthal Kalithume The Goliath Gladiator. Loves to fight and prefers to be surrounded my as many opponents as possible to prove his martial dominance. I made him a few months back and he has been a gem to play.

Evil campaign. I played a Rogue. He took what he liked from people, had no qualms on killing, and was a racist shit bag. He loved luxury which was his down fall. The groups leader. mastermind, and Incarnate(Soul Magic Mage), was a great face. However my character was the only person who knew the real character. He played everyone for fools, but mine. His goal was to become a noble and wealthy, he succeeded fairly well. His evil self would cause many problems, and his Noble front would fix them. Our mage was focused on becoming a Lich, he was Lawful to a fault. The leader got him to sign a pact in blood. We had an Old Elf Wizard who got his magic stolen for being a general shit lord Headmaster of a Magic College. Then we had a Half-Giant(who became a real giant) who just fucking killed everything, who pretty much became the leaders killer-butler. Then we had an Orc, which my character hated until he realized the Orc wasnt the only fucking normal person then he died.

Around level 7 we interrupted ritual for our necromancers master to become a Lich. Our leader and necromacer decided to torture and fuck with his body and soul. Its the point in which the contract killer, and over all shit lord, went "These fucks are evil". He had enough money to retire to a good life, but he couldnt seeing as he knew the Leader would only use his normal life against him. So he continued working for the evil party because he knew he had no real choice.

In a small campaign I played a Corporate Enforcer(Think Turks ff7) in a timeline where humans populated the Solar System, he got involved in weird time travel shenanigans. Anyone below his tech level he treated like savages, the one guy who was practically Dr Who he treated like an Equal, even though his tech was way past his own.
>>
I played a troll who looked to beat men in a fight, then force them to crossdresser and fuck them.

It was an ERP game, pretty fun.

Refused to kill anyone sapient and could see the good in everyone.
Barked constantly at anyone who refused to step in line after being beaten.

I had a character in a Pokemon Tabletop Adventure game named Dave. He had two rules: No one dies before Dave, and Dave gives no fucks.
Made him to be a tank, with tanky pokemon like Bronzong.
He was not a smart man. Or patient. Often he would wade into battle himself and punch the ever-loving shit out of every pokemon he could find because he'd rather do that than shout orders from the back and waste a standard action every turn.
>But then it got stupid.
The dm was extremely Rule of Cool and gave everyone some nifty items. Dave's was a special ring that had two modes: Defense, which made his attacks 1d4+Str and DR 20, and Offense, with 0 DR and 2d10+Str or something. It was always in defense mode.
This meant that, when combined with certain multi-classing features that gave him Light Screen and Reflect, he could boost his DR up to stupid high levels. When combined with nearly every level up point being put in CON, it meant one thing:

Dave could not die. Therefore no one could die. Therefore Dave could give Minimum Fucks.

This lead to his list of crimes, not all of which he was guilty of, and some of which were merely accidental (in order of appearance/memory):
>Kidnapping a princess
>Busting out of castle jail
>Murdering guards and pokemon alike
>More pokemurder
>Punching Mewtwo/man combo nicknamed Mantwo
>Property destruction
>Participating in the black market
>Murdering a crowd of bystanders in a fight.
>Resisting arrest
>Becoming a cop under false pretenses
>Abuse of power
>Punching a lineup of schoolchildren to get the attention of a cop
>Kidnapping a cop
>Killing a cop
>Theft
>Instigating a revolution
>Destroying parliament
>Killing Mantwo again with a hammer made of wood and super-plexiglass

Old 3.5 campaign. Pint sized Catgirl barbarian/warlock with a focus on claw attacks. Decidedly less than cute as she's pretty much a "I wanna be the strongest there is" type of character and is a binged drinker to boot. (she outrank the party despise her She difference due to her massive con and Fort saves)

Two key moments I enjoyed was when she captured by slavers after being severely outnumbered. The party (not wanting to lose their only tank) went in to rescue her. The party's plan was to release her and let her go ape shit on everything while they support. Even when naked, the slavers learnt not to have exposed necks when the Catgirl tore out their jugular.

Second moment was much much later when she had to solo a grounded red dragon when the party abandoned her.

While the dragon breathed fire on her, she decided to go fuck it and jumped into its mouth while it was still spewing fire. Once inside, ripped and tear upwards toward's the dragon's brain and tore that out.

Somehow survived that encounter and took its tooth as a trophy.

Last I played her, she was sleeping on that tooth larger than her. Fond memories of her and my mates and I still joke about the tank that was pint sized and still had more hp than the large warforge. Hits like a tank too.

Out-drank the party despite her size difference. Damn Auto-correct

Made a bard character in 5e that was based around being a "conman," so I didn't take any spell that could cause damage and only took spells that could be used to fool people. That character was so fun, pretty much every session had to pull out a new voice (which I love doing) in order to pull some sort of scam.

The only damaging spell I had was Vicious Mockery and my DM forced me to do an actual insult everytime I used it. I got pretty good at doing the dozens from it.

a trap elf rogue.

one job our party had was to infiltrate an enemy nation

we kidnapped the queen who looked strikingly similar to my character and replaced her with me

long story short i ended up in the king's bedroom with the king and when he pulled my panties down he shouted "what the fu-" before our fighter snuck in and knocked him out

My last character. Arawhon Rhys, gnoll librarian. Orphaned to a small convent of a minor sect of pacifists. Growing up as one of the few children there, he never learned to socialize all that well. Spent most of his free time in the small library reading whatever he could get his hands on.

Everything went to shit the day a dragon came and destroyed the convent. This is when his sorcerous powers awoke while trying to defend those he thought of as family. Unfortunately they saw this as him falling to the demonic legacy of his race and lashing out, so they expelled him from the survivors.

He was eventually found by his future compatriots and friends, half starved and dying of thirst along the ditch of a road. Over the next couple decades he would become the owner of a small plane of the Abyss (sacrificing yourself is an interesting loophole), the messiah of an apocalypse cult (which his friends reformed instead of taking the rational option of destroying them) and after his final sacrifice to save his friends, a demigod.

Teaching a bunch of noobs to play PF with a background support character can have some unexpected consequences, especially if your DM likes throwing curveballs. My character hated every moment of being in the spotlight and it was super fun. The rest of the party became rulers of the small nation and heretical religion we started.

Im hoping we eventually get to go back and play in that setting after a few hundred years of advancement.

A bored genie, the fairy-tale type, being dragged everywhere by your generic adventurer party and solving their shit every time they've run into trouble.
>>
>>43579407
Necromancer turned God of the Guardian Dead in a setting based vaguely off of Dominions.

Legitimately guy who preferred to tinker in his laboratory with "artwork", undead he spent time and effort working on so they were stronger than simple mass-raised corpses. Had a bunch of Templates he eventually had Apprentices/Acolytes working on building, while he continued to try and make better Undead.

A skeleton paladin. I always wore full-plate and only the DM knew. All the other players were totally oblivious despite a bunch of hints that something was totally off about the character.

Wilson Sobor a Medic Guardsman in Only War of noble birth.

The cheque meant to guarantee his officers commission bounced just as his transport lifted offworld. By the time he found out he was going to be a rank and file it was too late, they were already in the warp.

First character that really saw a lot of personality development. From a forlorn defeatist he evolved into quite a heroic figure with every life he saved. Not to mention becoming a sort of medical messiah.

Survived several campaigns, seeing the rest of his party mates pensioned off wounded or killed. Actually managed to retire from the guard after assisting a Inquisitor (Used him in a DH campaign) With the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

He lives happily on an agri-world teaching at a medical institute...conveniently close to an Inquisition HQ. Where I frequently pull him as a DMNPC for Dark Heresy games where the party needs a healer and some experience.
