In the original Japanese, Taichi realizes that Sora's been nervous about trying to confess to Yamato for quite some time, and he is the one who encourages her to finally go. Taichi takes the role of the courageous leader he's always been, and he genuinely wishes her good luck. It's left a little ambiguous over whether he actually has any feelings for Sora, and whether she has any feelings for him (there's even a brief moment where she may have wanted him to step in and confess to her), and it's left as a still fairly open "what might have been" or "what could still be" instead of a simple "She likes the guy who's going to be the first man to walk on Mars better than you."

Tapping him is supposed to represent a "serious punch", which could theoretically destroy anything. Keep in mind the card is not supposed to be balanced, it's just supposed to represent Saitama. The only thing I regret is not coming up with a more clever casing cost beyond having it include a sideways infinity symbol to go with his P/T.
