I'd say that the White Scars mostly resemble the Hungarians though, just because the imperium of man is centered around the Emperor (aka the Christ-like figure). The Hungarians became Christians and were one of the main Europeans who kept Europe from being completely Islamified. The Mongols obviously did not do this, in fact many of them turned Muslim and kept attacking Christians.
