Lets create a mythology /tg/e

Duang the Metal Wrought is the God of Machinery and Obsolescence. Like the clock maker tinkering with his gears Duang's presence is felt to anyone crafting a machine wither it be a slight feeling of satisfaction or a new idea about how to further improve equipment. Duang is said to wander through the scrap heaps to give new life to the rejects of society.

Ma'kata is the God of Mutilation, Honor, and Promises. Ma'kata was the third god of the Nameitian Pantheon to come into existence near the beginning of the universe. Ma'kata while embodying the horrors of war follows a strict code of Honor. Anyone who breaks a vow or fights with dishonor is said to incur the blight of Markta. The curse takes the form of a rage that is said to take over the person in a moment of personal weakness and cause them to attempt to slaughter anyone in the vicinity. Follows of Ma'kata have been know to cut off ears of noses to offer to the God in either penance or for his favor

Umbras is the name given to the entity governing the domains of Darkness, Death, the Unknown, Knowledge, and Madness. He is often referred to in hushed whispers as the 'dead' god, and has a small following compared to the rest of the pantheon. To those that peer into his abyss, occult powers shall they be granted, at the cost of losing their minds and bodies to the will of He Most Ancient. His largest church, the Cult of the Void-Father, wish to awaken his rotting spirit and return the world to his image of blackness and insanity.
>>
>>46536199
Yes,and No. A new god can appear but it takes a very long time for it to fully come about and awaken. Duang for example awoke at the time of AI even though he started forming around the time of the engine

>>46536204
Pretty cool, I see him as the second God to form. What do you think?

I'm down with that fampai-desu. I imagine it being the void corporeal, coming out of and becoming the darkness once the universe was created by the primordial God.

Thealla the Goddess of Music, Forsight, and Artistry. Thealla was the fourth God to come about and was one of the most generous to the lower lifeforms. Thealla gave the mortals her blessing to create masterpieces of Art and Music like the Fall of the Empire, and The Harps of Gilglem. But over time Thealla grew more despondent over seeing the constant evils that were going to happen in the future and the overall pessimistic path that the universe will take. The Holy books state that at her Creation Thealla started composing her Masterpiece that all living beings can hear in their dreams and while starting joyously over time it has turned into a somber death march for the eulogy of a doomed universe.

Gondal is the god of silence, observation and contemplation, said to witness all things but speak of none. It is not unknown for a mortal to encounter
Gondal in solemn and secluded corners of the world, and all who do come away changed, irrevocably altered by the profound serenity of the god. Depictions of the Observer almost always illustrate him as a somewhat diminutive creature bereft of arms, for he has no desire to act, only to travel and witness all things.
>>

Interesting, What caused Gondal to come about and what number was he?

Oriendala is the seventh God and the Goddess of Extravagance, Diplomacy, and Betrayal and is also known as The Bloodstained Rose. Oriendala came about due to the rampant politicking and assassinations that occurred during the Gilded Age and the subsequent Age of Sanguine. Oriendala is always depicted as wearing a Mask and each Mask has to be distinctively different from the rest or else the artist risks offending her Majestic. Oriendala is one of the Gods that take a more active interest in Mortals and is many times depicted as a spider whispering dreams of ambition of greed in the ears of influential people.

Algema, the god of wasted life.
Algema is a sadistic god, who laughs at the suffering of mortals.
His domain is the wasting of life; senseless killing, and the squandering of one's own potential please him both. He offers his blessing to those who waste life, however, he does not care any more for those who waste life than he does for any other mortal, hoping to see them suffer and fail in the end as well. He has no desire for followers, and simply wishes to thrive on the squandering of potential. Large massacres of innocent people, and those who show potential falling into a life of idleness please him greatly, and he encourages mortals to allow these things to happen.

Larocia the Fifth God, The Apex beast. When Thealla elevated the lower life forms it left a divide in the land of mortal. This divide continually grew wider as the mortals feared not of any beast. But in the back of every mind was fear, fear of a great beast they neither knew nor fully comprehended. That fear became Larocia. With its evil primal force it drug the creatures that mankind no longer feared back up to take their life once more.

The personofication of Chaos, which manifested itself upon this reality, creating the source of magic which mortals refer to as Slazn. Nidium, The Watcher is the God of Logic and Observance.

It is said that Nidium was there when the world came to be, silently observing as particles swirled and nebulae formed, as colossal gravitational forces formed matter out of starstuff. When the world was complete, he witnessed the first creature make its way out of the primordial muck and onto land. Civilizations rose and fell under his gaze, and he often found them gazing back.

It was he who gifted the peoples of the world with logic and understanding that they needed in their slow road towards civilization. To this day, Nidium still watches over the world.
>>
While the various civilizations and species worship different gods all of them pay homage to The Mother Who Bears the World in Her Womb or The Mother for short. The Mother was awoken due to the rampant chaos that was caused by Sargoth in the beginning of time. The Mother distraught by this went about battling Sargoth to bring order to the universe. After imprisoning Sargoth in the center of the universe The Mother went about creating Laws that all matter and life in the universe must follow. After this The Mother went about Performing her most difficult and glorious task, creating life. The Mother spent ages tinkering with her formulas to create different beings with the more simple animals and beasts coming first and the more complex and sentient beings coming last. In the beginning all of the life forms prayers were to thank the mother and sing her eternal glory. But at some point long ago in the distant past The Mothers touch disappeared from the world and has not been felt by any since. Some theorize that Sargoth has broken free and that he has taken over control while imprisoning The Mother in the center of the universe, while other more heretical sects think that The Mother has simply grown disgusted with her creations and abandoned us. Which ever case is true one thing is for certain, things have gotten much darker without her light to guide us

The prophet of Larocia took the shape of when the elevated life was at its weakest. Small, hairless, rodent like, before the distinction between cold and warm blood had been drawn. When they were the bottom of the food chain.
It would come, as one was mauled by lions, as a village was attacked by wolves, as a city was overrun by griffin. And in the ears of dying it would whisper of the flee's insignificance to the bear, and their insignificance to its master.

Aver, the golden one, the coin counter. God of gold, trade, commerce, and wealth. His gifts are plentiful and vast, but never satisfy their recipients. He spends much of his time in the Gilded Realm, where vast oceans of molten gold wash priceless treasures onto shores of ivory. The currents of these oven determine the "flow" of wealth through the world. No living thing, save Aver himself, lives there, for it is cold and inhospitable. His symbol is a scale that weighs the worth of everything. He is also known to have coins bearing this symbol appear in circulation. Those who own them have good fortune, but the coin is coveted by all.

>Aelaiss is the God of humanity's ability to experience mortality. Sudden attacks of anxiety when you notice your heartbeat is gift to humanity is a reassurance of mortality, and an actualization that you truly exist, very much in flesh and blood, that you are not some detached consciousness. He is confrontational by nature, but also uncaring, only whispering his morbid reminders to only those who seek him. His followers are very few, and priests even fewer. Often of low societal status, from either before or after their devotion, they tend small, obscure shrines, scattered throughout the countrysides and cities. The shrines themselves are very small and simplistic, like pic related, deliberately placed in the most quiet and least disturbed area that can be found. The customary practices is to light a candle, and wait in silence, listening to one's own heartbeat.
>The God of the Wastes of Time, Tərk

>This God resides in spaces you once experienced bustling full of life, that are now abandoned and still. The eeriness that seems to consume you when visit places now foreign, empty, quiet, but very much the venue of the spirited scenes in your memory, is his voice speaking to you. It is Tərk, reminding you that time consumes all, leaving husks, that your memories can never be revisited, even if you return to where they occurred. The past will never exist again, and it is her duty to remind you of this. Tərk views this as a service to life, a preservation of those cherished memories, never to be ruined by the pains of reality. Despite this, her words usually end in sorrow.

So.... Minor Gods ?

"Ruslanil", the Hallusinatingenic Warrior. An entity seemingly contained in the northern wilderness, Ruslanil often manifests in battlefields as bodyless head that communicates with warriors who fight for the defending side.

Sometimes he appears to entire armies, sometimes only for the select few. Sometimes he is tiny, only a side of a small bird, sometimes he is larger than life or land.

Nevertheless, he is known to know major boons with those he communicates with - sometimes he shares the secrets required for victory, sometimes he reveals how your village can be turned into a major marketplace. But never without a price: Sometimes he turns your body from neck down invisible or merely makes it so that one is unable to form any sort of speech or wrtiting without saying "sometimes" no less than three times.

The Witness was an avatar of Nidium he used to walk the land in ages long past. It fell unto him to record events of significance, and it is largely thanks to him that modern generations know of the frustrated wrath of Sargoth during the dawn of the world or the great era of turmoil that preceded the emergence of The Bloodstained Rose, Oriendala.

As the peoples of the world began to keep records of their own, The Witness was sighted less and less. These days, he has all but vanished, existing only as a signature on ancient parchments and some believe that he is merely a legend and that his records are tales written by several different authors under the same alias.

Omahkar has no worshippers but there is no end to those who seek to know themselves in the Sea of Mirrors.

One such man, or former man was Deanal The Crimson Beast. A mighty warrior in a time of many such as himself. he sought to rise above them and made the arduious trek to the Sea of Mirrors to know his worth.

Those who travelled with him stood back and watched as he knelt and peered into the Sea. He sat there for some time before he picked himself up, shed his armor and found a dark cave where he instructed his followers not to come after him and they were made to hear his screams from deep within.

Upon exiting the cave his voice was broken and his body covered in blood and scars where he tore at his own flesh and dashed himself agains the rocks within.

From hence forth he was unequal in battle able to fight with the furosiity of a beast with the keen mind of a man. His nick name, the Crimson Beast would come from his growling gravel like voice and his blood stained armor he would paint a Deep Crimson.

Oriendala's prophet much like herself was a more subtitle touch then the rest of the pantheon. Orpehon Beilarion was the third Duke of Beilaria and the eventual king of Olicia, Uliea, and Treaboru. Orpheon was born in the 20 year of the Gilded Age and even from his birth was seen as a crafty person able to trick even his teachers in to doing what he wanted. The only thing that matched his craftiness was his ambition, for Orpehon aspired to become the master of the earth and prove himself as the true god of this world. Orpehon began this plot by first Assassinating his cousin the King of Olicia King Derion the Crab Eatter of the house Purion. With his cousin dead Orpehon went about engaging himself to his second cousin Marcella the heir apparent to her older brother Edgar. After the marriage was ordanined and cemented Orpheon slipped a mixture of herbs into the kings drink that would cause the king to lose his senses and become a mindless beast. His plan went splendedly ending with Edgar slaughtered by Orpehon at the wedding reception with leaving Marcella to become Queen and Orpehon King Consort and one step closer to his goal

J'haibber-J'haabber, the little god of communication. J'haibber speaks constantly in countless tongues from each of his five mouths - one only says trivial facts, another speaks only meaningless a gossip, a third, or possibly the fourth, tells truths greatly needed by those who listen, the fourth, or possibly the third, tells a lie that harms as much as that truth would heal and is equally believable, and the final head repeats only prayers to the other gods and exclamations of joy, terror and pain.

J'haibber does not lean to the aegis of any of the Great Twelve, though it is sometimes thought to be a neutral messenger between them, occasionally dropping its fivefold rambling to deliver its report. It appears mostly to those who are lost or seeking guidance with great decisions or personal matters, but is also known to manifest seemingly at random. Several alcoholic cocktails owe their existence to J'haibber's intervention in the lives of experimenting barmen.

Now King Consort Orpehon was able to freely make some bigger moves to further his goals of Conquest. Some say it was at this point that the essence of Olienda started to whisper to in her sleep guiding him on how to achieve his goals. Orpehon's next step was enchanting his wife with powerful magic to give him control of her body and mind while trapping her consciousness inside her. He used this control to have her declare Orpheon head of state bring him to possition of King and her to Consort. Orpehon after holding an elaborate banquiate to celebrate his assention started a trend that he would adhear to for the rest of his life. As he walked into the hall all of the nobles saw a brilliantly elaborate mask on his face in the shape of a skull forever giving him the moniker Orpehon the Skull King. For that day forth Orpehon was never seen without this mask and some circles whisper that the mask gave him great power and made his already cosiderate cunning even more inpressive. Orpheon's first conquest was minor but set the stage for his enterance to the political game that was the contient of Astrialor. The borderlands of the Olicia were a littered with independent counts and dukes tied through multiple Marriages and alliances to maintane there independence from the three kingdoms of the continent. Orpehon knowing that going to war with this dukes would leave his army and treasury drained and unable to face the other two kings decided to bring his cunning to bear once more. Orpehon paid the Orcs, Trolls, and Dragons to attack the Borderlands in exchange for the territory for themselves and trade with the prosperous kingdom of Olicia. Within three months the borderlands were begging Olicia for help and entered into an exchange of vassilization for saving there lands and people.

Tataric, ‘The Warden of the First’
In ages past, when the world was but a young toy to the gods above, there walked one of the first men. Born to an age of strife and malice from the demons of Sargoth, he was granted the extraordinary gift of nigh godly strength. For years, the only one whom protected the town from desolation at the hands of such monsters was the young Tataric himself, who’s bestial strength granted him the capability to destroy those that threatened his home.
When he passed his trial of manhood, Tartaric retreated to a cave, carrying with him a blacksmithing hammer and a torch, and remained there for five days and five nights. For miles, the only things to leave the cave was the sound of hammering, resounding deep within the cave across the lands.
When he emerged on the sixth day, Tartaric carried chains, adorned upon his frame as a hunter carries his pelts. Behind him, deep within the snaking caverns below him, lay thousands upon thousands of iron prison cells, and hundreds upon hundreds of shackles. With his prison ready, and the prisoners rampaging, Tartaric set into motion his grand crusade. Day and night, he stalked across the land silently, wrestling the massive demons he found and binding them in his chains. He alone dragged them into his great prison, shackling the beasts into cells to protect the world above.
For centuries, his crusade continued, his body moving only by the determination of his soul to imprison the monsters of the world. As the world above and around him moved forward, no longer impeded by the rampages of the demons. But Tataric took no rest, no pleasure in his purpose. He alone sat in the great caverns, watching over his prisoners of the damned. Legend says The Mother Above was so moved by the single man’s sacrifice in the name of order and law that she extended to him the greatest duty of all; guarding the prison of Sargoth, and keeping the great shackles that hold his desolated form in peak condition.
>>
>>46548986
Tataric, the first mortal raised to divinity, accepted this task with a single condition; that the prison of Sargoth be moved and interred within his own, granting him the ability to sit at the gates of the prison for all time and ensure the chains that bind never slacken, never weaken.
In the times since, with the rumored abandonment of The Mother, some say Tataric has become lax in his duty, letting demons escape under his watchful gaze. Others say that the influx of demonic forces signal something much darker. They ask if the reason that so many minor demons have begun to manifest once more is because their Warden is struggling to maintain the most powerful prisoner of all, who stirs once more with renewed fury.

Tataric is a figure of controversy.
Some view him as a divine figure, others a mere human granted the title of divine hero. Regardless of what he is, it is a known truth that invoking his name when combating demonic forces is a powerful prayer, and he is often prayed to when seeking justice or continued protection of demons and beasts.

The Walker (That-Which-Walks-Between-The-Fog)
In the great mountains of the north, there is a valley pass that serves to connect the high steppes with the lower plains. The safest way through the mountains, the valley is still full of hazards, the least of which is the ever-present swathe of fog that hangs above it. There are beasts in the mist, but never bandits, no matter how many have tried. Locals spend as little time in the pass as possible, and the few enterprising men and women who have attempted to build there have vanished.

The locals do speak, however, of a light in the mist that follows them, just out of clear view. They call it the Watcher, a shortened version of the full title that villagers bestowed upon it thousands of years ago, when the nations above and below it were even contemplated. People dissapear sometimes, going through the pass, pulled into the mist just outside of their comrade's vision. Others find a surprising lack of the usual beasts and monsters that frequent the area. An even smaller bring back reports of a figure, hooded face shining in the mist and a phantom crown above its brow, revealing itself to them. Sometimes they have even seen it move.

Eivalo, the Herald of Reversal is an odd creature. No one knows if he is a servant of the gods or a mad hallucination. There are no rites to offer homage to him, let alone evoke him, and those who have had contact with the Herald of Reversal all claim that he is accompanied by a strong urge to vacate one's bowels. All records of Eivalo denote that an unnatural event occurs in his presence where something that is normally impossible becomes possible. All accounts of Eivalo are conflicting save for the fact that he always talks to an empty lantern in his right hand.

The Shrike (The Thorns That Bind)
Often found wandering in places both crowded and isolated, The Shrike is a mysterious being of Power, Gain, Weakness and Sacrifice. It is a humanoid mass of ever-shifting thorns, spikes and blades, walking in a would be smooth gait, if not for its stutter-stop mannerism. It speaks with a mix of a woman with a seductive whisper and a man with a golden voice. It leaves a path of blackened growths of thorns wherever it goes

The Shrike uses its strange, yet melodic, voice to offer agreements, contracts and deals to those it calls "parties of discerning tastes and intriguing goals". Though it speaks with a charm that disarms most ears that listen, many who have heard The Shrike talk report a certain tired, sardonic tone commonly found in the weary and elderly, belying its sweet promises and generous compliments

Despite its fearsome appearance, The Shrike does not create outright malicious deals, with contracts bound by its thorns following the agreed upon contract word-by-word. In fact, Thorn-Deals are the most trusted contracts in all the land. However, The Shrike often practices its right to refuse a deal, citing "a boring affair unworthy of my thorns". Those that are bound by The Shrike shows black marks across their forearms, bearing the shape of thorns. This has become a symbol of bravery, cunning and charisma, to be able to convince The Shrike to solidify their contract.

Orpehon having planned for this sent his envoys to the raiders under thr guise to discuss war plans and hammer out the trade agreements. The diplomats brought wine to the Orcs, letters to the trolls and gold to the dragons. Orpehon had the diplomats tell the Dragons in exchange for the Borderlands he would give the Dragons all the lands of the mountains and wipe out both the Orcs and Trolls. He sent the Trolls forged letters from their High Priestess commanding them to return to their homelands across the sea due to problems with their old neighbors the Giants. And the Orcs Orpehon got them drunk as they could be with Wine mixed with a power drug causing perment sleep. By the next day the raiders were either dead sailing to there homelands or flying back to the mountains proving Orpehon the hero of both the Borderlands and Olicia. For a time Orpehon was the hero of the Kingdom and gained a new name, borderguard

What happens to Tataric when Sargoth escapes?

Not the writer, or writers given there is no continuity, but assuming the Sargoth in Tartaric's bdsm plane is some sort of sentient shard of Sargoth and the explosion is actually planned, then Sargoth goes around gathering his essence and his cute demon babies, then maybe destroy the world or other classic BBEG shit

Tartaric will either go and try to bind back everything in to his dungeon, or maybe go to his dearest Mother for planning. Or he's so bored at that point that he stops giving a shit, or teams up with Sargoth for shits and giggles

And for a time everything was going exactly in Orpehon's favor. His people loved him, his kingdom was growing both economical and militarily at an alarming rate and he was graced with a son, in his 32nd year, named Euri. But there were forces coming together to stop his plans. Some sources, such as Elindu the Scribe the famous monk who wrote extensively on the gods impact on the world, say that both Ma'kata (disgusted by his dishonor) and Larocia (angered by Orpehon's destruction of his worshipers) plotted to crush this ant who had displeased them so. Ma'kata in an unusual sense of subtly spread the "rumor" of Orpehon's dealings with the beasts to the ears of the borderlords and provided support to this from the mouth of a diplomat who was able to escape the death that befell the rest of the diplomats. The outrage of the borderlords lead to a secret faction being formed to kill the man who had brought suffering to their lands and forced them into submission through his plan. The borderlords planned to not only kill Orpehon but his young son at Euri's fifth year celebration. The plan was much like the borderlords simple and brutal. When the cake was to be brought out a pair of hidden archers were to Assassinate both the King and Crowned Prince. The plan would have went perfectly if not for one man, Bersige Bourdon. Bersige was a prominent borderlord in charge of the Duchy of Malrose a port on the south side of the continent. A week before the celebration Bersige met with Orpehon and told him about the plot and gave all of the names of the men involved. The conspirators were rounded up and promptly executed and their lands along with the rest of the borderlands given over to Bersige to govern. Some say that Bersige was a power hungry man, others that he was tempted by the same whispers the enticed Orpehon but we will never know for sure.

Now with his own house in order Orpehon once again looked out over his borders with an expansive eye. The Kingdom of Uliea was an easy prize to take for Orpehon since he had the one thing they needed, grain. Uliea was positioned in the northern coast of the continent which was a very arid land almost completely deserts outside of their cities. Uliea relied on their trade with the Borderlords to handle feeding their people since in recent memory the kingdoms over fishing had ruined most of their food production. So with a stop to trade and strong words Uliea came under the control of Orpehon in all but name. Not trusting the former king of Uliea Orpehon had him and his family's royal barge attacked by pirates having the men killed and the women taken as prisoners. Last leaving the hardest nut to crack the Kingdom of Treaboru.

Treaboru was on the east coast of the continent and had a wealth of resources to keep it strong both defensively and economically. With no apparent weakness to exploit Orpehon had to resort to his least favorite way of doing things, open war. Using the coin that his Kingdom was rolling in Orpehon funded bandits to burn the farm lands and villages of Treaboru while pirates would harass their trade routes and naval forces. After three years of open war and skirmishes across the kingdom Treaboru was down to only its capital Trea. Trea was surrounded by thick sturdy walls and had the legendary Thealla's Harps crossbowmen guarding the walls.

The Legion of the Outsider

An organisation, founded by an unknown person, known by those men as the "Outsider". Its purpose is to guard life from the forces of Larocia, which invade the lands outside of the magical waste, which was formed after Sargoth's death. The Legion is stationd in multiple forts around the waste, with a small but well armed force in each of them. They are constantly in search of new recruits, and that's why multiple members of the Legion can be seen outside of their castles, looking for brave men who are willing to defend this world against evil.

Knowing that he would never get through the walls Orpehon once again turned to his cunning to take the city. Orpehon knowing that Treaboru had a natural spring of fresh water in the city sent a team into the city to dump poison and decaying animals into the water. Soon after a plague started to spread through the city leading to the death of over half the population and suprisingly the royal family. Having no true leader to guide then the peasants overwhelmed the city guard and let in Orpehon and his army. Orpehon had finally done it. He had united the entire contient under one man for the first time in history
